They’ve been doing a lot of construction.

Made us move, two nights into our five night stay because they needed to clean the room. In the new room we moved into, someone was literally still cement plastering the wall of one of the bunk beds. The paint fumes from one of the bathroom construction also seeped into our room on the last night.

In short, i would recommend for this stay.

Everything isn’t enough to explain anything. Really very nice place. Very very friendly stuff . Very community place. Option to rent motor bike with good price. Location is super amazing.

Pleasant

Nice staff. Free drinking water. Shared kitchen was good. Privacy curtains in the dorms. Air-con was fine, just the usual squabble over the temperature with dorm-mates. Bathroom was clean (cold showers only). There's a useful drying area out the back for hanging wet clothes. Hostel can arrange van pick-up from the airport for a fee. They can also arrange scooter rentals if available. Upper floor lounge area is cosy and good for socialising. Location is near some small eateries and small shops, but very easy to find a tricycle to take you to town or elsewhere for 30pesos per person. Laundromat within walking distance. Wifi was OK.

Lack of floor space in the dorm room so it was a bit messy with everyone's large rucksacks scattered about. They have a bar on-site, so if you bring your own drinks to the hostel you will be charged a corkage fee.

Superb

Really nice social space with pool table, games, table tennis, and couch. They host activities on some nights in a friendly environment. They have a kitchen and a laundry area which is a big plus! Facility is clean and the beds are comfortable. Staff is very nice. Jovan is very friendly, he does playful banter while keeping professional.

Location is in a side street that gets dark at night. There’s also lack in security facilities or simple lighting in garage. Wifi does not reach rooms.

The location is not on the center but you can manage to rent a motorbike with them and be in the center in 7min.

The hostel itself is nice but the people who stay there should learn what respect is; during the night was very hard to sleep because of rude peoples just shouting in the dorm and keep closing and opening the door even at 3/4am in the morning. So keep in mind that it’s not a chill hostel and if you have light sleep you’ll find quite hard to spleen here. The AC in the dorm is very strong, I slept all the day with socks and a jacket. In the shower you don’t have a lot of space for your dry cloth.

Staff is lovely. Always trying to help. The common areas are beautiful to socialise. Games and really nice vibes. Is the hostel I stay more in my trips! Two weeks! All clean always. Thank you guys !

Wonderful! I could have stayed longer if not for other commitments!

My stay with sunlit was beyond what i could have expected. The staff were just incredible in attending your needs and answering any queries. The area is quite far from the busy area but I would not want it any other way. A great escape after a night of drinks and partying with new friends. I extended 1 more day which was totally unplanned! I'll stay in this hostel soon if given the chance.

Other checked-in guests could maybe tone down a bit with the noise coming from the outisde going in to the premises but it's just tolerable.

Can only recommend staying here, when coming to General Luna / Siargao!

Had an amazing stay here! The entire hostel is very nice, clean and in a quiet location, restaurants and surf spots can be reached within a few minutes. The rooftop offers a nice hangout area, with music, Table-tennis, Billiard and drinks, what makes it very easy to connect and befriend new people as a solo travel. In addition the Staff organizes Movie-nights, Group Dinners and other events. The Staff is super nice and helps you in anyway possible.

Clean and comfortable, quiet relaxation away from party

I enjoyed the vibe of this place. It wasn't too party party, but you could socialize with the other travelers when you wanted. There were some comfortable common areas so I felt like most people were digital nomads. It's quiet at night as it's away from the main strip. The bathrooms and showers are clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel organizes tours for you to join or some other activities.

I only have picky things because there wasn't too much bad here... Would appreciate some more hooks or shelves in the showers. It's difficult to not get your clothes wet while you're showering. The location is quite far from the strip so you will need to rent a motor bike unless you're okay walking 20-30 minutes each way. The roads aren't lit at night so it can be dangerous. It's hard to get a Tuk Tuk since it's away from the strip. 12 bed dorms feel like a lot of people in a room but everyone was respectful. This is just my.own comfort.

Good social area up on the roof. Able to cook your own meals kitchen and appliances available. Comfortable beds and clean.

During our stay on a day trip my purse was stolen with all my credit cards, money and key were gone. You put down a 1000PHP deposit, and I was charged the full 1000 PHP for the key. I thought this was an excessive amount for key replacement but this was said to be the policy.

I can recommend this place for young people who want to meet up with other travellers. It is a good value of money.

The vibes were good there, full of young people hanging around. The place was clean and it has got a big social area upstairs!

The rooftop is really nice, has pool table, darts and even ping pong table. The beds are comfortable able and equipped with curtains. Showers have hot water.

In the middle of palm trees

The roof terrace was great, a nice place to chill with a nice view. Would be great if there would be more stuff to chill on. They had lockers with keys available and normally they offer also food, but didn't at that time, but they had a kitchen where you could cook by yourself. I always like it if you have your own place with curtains! The location is good and you have a few places to eat around. As I did stay only for one night, I didn't check out as many as I would wanted to.

The rooms where a bit small, but you could place your stuff under the bed and the dark colour of the furnishings wasn't really my thing. The bathrooms need a renovation and a an air system. As the mirror was completely covered after the shower and it was so humid.

The staff was great, i had a special trip to plan and they worked hard to make it happen ! The place is very big with lots of places to hang out and the bed was very comfortable.

Not on any main road so it was hard to get a tricycle in normal times to go to get some food, and when heavy rain started it became impossible. You can use the kitchen there but I didnt stayed long enough to have bought food to cook.

Look no further, this is your hostel!

Hands down best hostel in Siargao. The staff, the people, the vibes. Everything is a big yes for this hostel. It is exactly what a hostel should be with the type of people you dream of finding in your journey. Easy to access, clean, nice breakfast restaurant with the best food. They organize everything you might need, in my case airport van, scooter. 10/10 experience

Superb

Loved my stay here! I was traveling alone and worked most of the time. Internet was more than sufficient for my work calls and emails, location was nice and quiet, and was very accessible!
