Could not swing a cat in room
bigger room, somewhere to hang clothes

We booked a small room, the bed was comfortable and the place was clean.
We have dinner and the pub food and the service was good, and the morning breakfast was appreciated.
The walls are thin, so you can hear the people in the next room. My husband is a light sleeper and hence got waken up a few times.
After dinner we tried to watch a movie in the TV room. There is only one shared medium size room and a group wanted to play pool; they were noisy and annoyed by our presence. Hence we left the movie half way and went to read a book in bed.

Tranquil setting, very quiet
Breakfast was a bit haphazard, couldn't find any knives

Great old pub atmosphere. Fantastic new owners and great meals. Inn is aged and in need of updating. Troy and Ann have plans on what they will do. Rooms small but adequate.

The vibe was kind of good, more like a weird, scary experience but you could call it funny.
To start with, the place costs 10 % more than a proper hotel room in Hobart or Launceston.
BUT:
- the place is just disgusting, old and run-down, the furniture is non-existent in your room, there is a miniature 'double-bed' in the room, a disgusting curtain and a non-functional drawer
- you don't have your own bathroom
- there is no wifi, no mobile
- it's cold and you have a retro oil radiator only
- food in the pub is just extremely pricey (38$ for a steak, 30 for a schnitzel), more expensive than Sydney CBD
- the whole place is just absurd and an overall disgrace to the rest of Tasmania
If it was 50% cheaper and advertised as a backpacker place, it might have been excused, but offering it at a premium price with such low overall quality is just a robbery.

Located only a short walk from Lake Leake the scenery was great, and the Inn was laidback with great hosts.

Jenna and her family were lovely and very hospitable. They were friendly to us and provided us with loads of good recommendations for things to do in the area. Lake Leake was also very beautiful and a short walk from the inn. Place was clean and comfortable. There were also enough amenities for us to have our breakfast!
Nothing!

I liked the atmosphere at the Inn. Staying there for a couple of days was like walking in to a friendly home. Jenna and Luke are very relaxed but hospitable hosts and the location near the lake is country / homely.
The Inn is in original condition overall which means some of the facilities are very basic. This can add to the charm of the place, or be off-putting depending on the eye of the beholder

For us this was a stopover to break our journey to from Bruny Island to Stanley, and it served us well. It was easy to find, since it was all on its own, a short walk from the lake resevoir and a community of shacks.
The bathrooms could do with some updating. However, the owners work very hard and obviously are doing all they can for the present time.

The location is lovely, the Inn has kept its historic heritage and combined it with a truly country welcome. It felt like visiting family. I hope this family stay on; their customer relations are brilliant.
I had a great room, neat and spacious and just the right balance of comfort and class with the linen. I loved that it was in almost original condition and spotlessly clean.
The heater was on for me when I arrived and it is a very short walk to lovely Lake Leake.

Worst inn I ever checked in.
Very smelly unhygienic environment.
Really disgusting to stay there.
Non ventilation small rooms are suffocating.
Poor shared toilets
I paid for 5 nights .
But I left after the first night .
No good customer care .
Iwas surprised how they took government permission to conduct a inn there.
Really not suitable for human being. May be for something else....

Remote and off the grid, which makes for a nice quiet getaway. Friendly owners and locals at the pub, traditional local aussie atmosphere. Good pub as part of the inn, with great food. Well located to drive to other places (wineglass bay, Launceston etc.)
As an older Inn in a remote setting, be aware there may be some bugs and animals around the place
