Great location!
The house is a short boardwalk from a beautiful, expansive beach.
The house was comfortable for the 12 of us. But some of the mattresses (upstairs King) and all of the sheets need to be replaced. The sheets are scratchy. It was hard to regulate the temperature and it was always hot downstairs at nighttime. Some fans for the bunk room would be nice. There was an overwhelming dog pee smell somewhere upstairs. The management company sent someone out and he sprayed a rug, but the smell soon came back.
A side by side refrigerator really doesn’t provide enough space for as many people as the house sleeps. Two dishwashers is nice. I had a hard time getting the one on the left to start on the last night.
Overall we had a great week.

Perfect House for the Holidays
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for the holidays! The location is perfect, right on the beach with a boardwalk leading to the ocean just steps away. The space worked perfectly for our 3 couples. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of glassware, cups, dishes, flatware and every cooking accessory you could possibly need. Recommend to bring your own cleaning supplies or purchase when you arrive — windex, extra paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc. We especially loved the beautiful view from the top deck and the outdoor, covered picnic table. Would love to come back during the summer when it’s warmer! Thank you for having us!

Hurricane Isaias didn't stop is from having a lovely vacation at Sea Fox (the best part of 2020!)
This was our 2nd time staying in Duck (our favorite OBX location). The house was very well appointed - has so many dishes, glasses, pots, pans, really any kitchen item you could possibly need. Even though the kitchen had double ovens (so nice), we used the charcoal grill every night. The bedrooms were decent for storage (however plan to hang most of your clothing in the masterv upstairs), king beds were quite comfortable, the twin beds could use updating or at least a foam mattress pad added. The wooden stairs inside are kind of steep and have no padding for traction which may be a little difficult for someone elderly (or a large dog like ours, but he took them slow) - there is a removable gate upstairs to use if you need it for your dogs or little ones. We would suggest better lighting over the dining room table, we weren't able to play games in the evening unfortunately, because it was so poor, and there were some cleaning issues (and we're not sure they actually cleaned differently for Covid-19) and repair items that need attention in order to receive a full 5 🌟 review, which this house really deserves (I informed the agency of those prior to leaving). The house layout itself was really very nice (master bedroom/bath, kitchen, living room, dining room, 1/2 bath off the dining room, and screened in deck are on the upper level; a double twin room with bathroom, a king room with bathroom, a king room that shares a bathroom with a double bunk room, and the hall laundry closet after on the lower level. Under the house is room for 2 vehicles, but parking for 1-2 more on the gravel driveway. They had a kayak, and boogie boards, and beach chairs to use. The location was amazing, the view was incredible - the sun rises directly in front of the house! We stayed when Hurricane Isaias rolled through, all was well (most of my family slept through it!). The beach access was very nice - it has a wooden boardwalk with manageable stairs (be careful not to step off though as there is poison ivy/oak intermingling with the greenery). There was also a trash service which was great, the come up to the house with golf carts and pull the trash/recycling bins to/from the street for you. Duck is a wonderful beach for dogs, and ours looked forward to going down every day...I think they were actually just as sad as we were when we left. We are grateful for the time we got spend at Sea Fox this year and would consider staying here again.

Convenient and well-equipped!
Having a toddler with us, it was very convenient to be on the beach. It felt even remote at times, which was a huge plus during this Pandemic. The decor was a little outdated, but very clean and had all that we needed. The gates were a help, as well as the outside shower. Loved staying in the Sanderling Community!
