About this house rental
Fins is your home at the village of Happy Valley on the stunning eastern beach of Fraser Island.
Fins is a two-level house where each level has a kitchen, dining, and living rooms. The house also has 2 covered gas bbqs, a laundry with washing machine, an outside covered fish cleaning area and ample parking. There are TVs with digital reception in the living rooms on each level, plus free Starlink WiFi that covers the entire house.
The house accommodates a maximum of 10 guests (including children) and offers the following:
5 bedrooms, 10 beds, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 dining/living/TV spaces, and 2 large decks
NB: The split system aircon units visible in the upstairs bedrooms are decommissioned and are locked off. This is because the off-grid solar power system cannot support these units at this stage.

You are required to bring your own linen sheets & towels. Other bedding such as pillows, protectors and blankets are provided. Use of sleeping bags instead of sheets is not permitted.
2. Not a party house or village:
Fins is located in Happy Valley which is a peaceful village. You are required to minimise noise after 10pm out of respect for others staying at the village. This is not a 'party house' or 'party village'.
3. Dingoes:
Happy Valley is enclosed by a dingo proof fence to ensure the safety of small children.
4. Solar system with back-up generator:
The home uses a silent, eco-friendly 'state of the art' solar power (with battery storage) system with back-up generator. It is important this system is not overloaded with additional appliances or car fridges please.
5. On-site management:
Fins is maintained to a high standard by people who live in Happy Valley. They are easily contactable and readily available should guests need anything.
6. Self-clean:
Fins is a self clean 'leave it as you find it' property. Cleaning products are provided. You should dispose of any household rubbish at the nearby tip on departure.
7. No agents or subletting:
The person making the booking must be a resident guest, not acting for a third party.
8. Portacot and highchair:
If you would like to have access to the high chair and the port-a-cot please notify us in advance so these will be ready for you to use.

Was a double birthday celebration. Had a great time. But one lot of beds are in a hall way and not a proper bedroom. So that was a bit disappointing. As we had 11 people and 5 couples and a single. Photo is a bit misleading about it being in a seperate room.

We are a group of 5-6 (5 this year) who spend a week fishing Fraser each year. We had stayed at Eurong, Cathedrals and Happy Valley in past years, this was our first stay at Fins. We all found the accommodation and amenities provided at Fins to be first class, very comfortable and well equipped, plenty of room for each of us to have a room and some separation. The kitchens were great, especially the upstairs one where we all tended to congregate at meals times and in the lounge afterwards, in front of the digital TV. There was plenty of fridge and freezer capacity and nothing wanting in the cupboards and drawers. Great, great, great!!!

We travelled to Fraser Island for my husbands 50th birthday. Fins on Fraser was the perfect house, plenty of room and close to everything. The house was well set out and the amenities/supplies were more than adequate.

Fins on Fraser Island was a beautiful place to stay with our family and friends and is very well catered for small children. The caretakers were very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back again.

The house is great! We all really enjoyed our week here and looking to book again next year. The appliances and utilities are all in good condition. The new upstairs BBQ (Weber Genesis) was fantastic!!! Thank you to the building maintenance couple in Bob and Dee who were easy to talk to, great for knowledge and really welcomed us.

My wife and I stayed at FINNS for our honeymoon. We hired the whole house for just the two of us! It was amazing. Perfect location on the island. Happy Valley was such a vibe, a stroll to the local pub and all the neighbours just lovely. The house, yard and amenities all in great condition. Would highly recommend this property. Bob were amazing to deal with. And have the place in top shape. The brand new Webber was a stand out.

We had a wonderful stay at Fins. Great location and the house has everything you need. Loved that everyone had a bathroom… very spacious ! My only feedback would be that the top BBQ doesn’t really heat up and definitely needs some attention… but we had a baby Q so it wasn’t a problem for us🤗

The house had plenty of room for the 6 adults and 5 kids, location is perfect on the island only 5 mins to Eli creek and 30 mins to eurong. Also handy having the pub/convenience store walking distance. Cooking facilities where also good

Not just a house, but a "Home" in paradise
Awesome, well equipped home on both levels. From Adults teens and young children.
Fantastic location. Manager accross the road was very helpful.
Would definitely book a stay there again without hesitation.
I have but only 2 small opportunities that could be improved.
Firstly, with a 2 and 3 year old, the gate on the stairs would be best suited right at the top for safety. I saw that it use to be there but has been moved mid stairs.
Secondly, WiFi was extremely terrible and mostly non existent.
I had work to do at times whilst on holiday and emails to send and receive. Not to mention that we kept teens busy all day, but they are still teens and couldn't access social media at all.
Otherwise it was the best holiday on Fraser Island to date. There have been many.

Excellent stay and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
We were the first guests to stay after the COVID-19 shutdown restrictions. We had a fabulous stay and were assisted greatly by the Property Manager who went out of his way to make sure everything was working for us. Our only disappointment was that our stay was to short. Will certainly book again once we can find a vacant spot in both our calendars.

What a great way " to do fraser"
House was perfect for large group . Comfortable and very clean. Honestly couldn't fault the place. Management were super friendly and helpful. Communication with bookings were also very easy and quick .

Find on Frazer Island
Owner was nice to communicate with. Our stay was nice and peaceful, good for relaxing and easy to get to places although nights were hot and air conditioning decommissioned there were ceiling fans in the rooms which was good, except downstairs room was a bit too hot even though there was a ceiling fan. Would have been good to have fans in the kitchen and dinning room as it was very hot at meal times, otherwise great stay and accomodate’s large group would recommend.
