Great property, lovely hosts & family. We brought our boat & the public ramp was very close to the property. New boat but it was not running properly after we got it in the water. Family & their connections helped figure out the issue & we were able to use the boat to explore the lake & visit Meredith & other towns. Unfortunately had to leave early after my wife broke her wrist hiking at Castle in the Clouds. Definitely would stay again, wonderful outdoor area. Only comment about the cottage is perhaps to remove some of the furniture in the living room for more openness.

Great location

My sister and brother in law from Florida came up and stayed with me, our other sister and Their daughter for the week. We had a few cloudy days, so we took advantage of visiting Wolfeboro and Sugar Hill. On sunny days we enjoyed the beach, floating on the water, kayaking enjoying time on the porch.

This place was very dirty upon our arrival and it was obvious that no cleaning had occurred after previous renters. Cob webs and dead bugs were abundant in every room. The shower was dirty, the tables were caked with dirt and dust, I had to clean dirt and leaves off the mattress, the floors were obviously not cleaned or mopped, used tissues were left about from previous renters . You do not have privacy inside where you will be in the line of view every time you go to or leave the bathroom. There were kids pressing their faces against the windows staring at us and asking who we were multiple times. We left after staying less than 48 hours and were refunded for about 1 day after paying for a full week. The owners indicated they hired a cleaning company for the next people at least and that we “do not deserve a refund”. I’m not sure why we were not given the courtesy of being able to rent a place that was at least somewhat clean as my child was covered in cobwebs after touching the coffee table in the living room. No cleaning supplies were present at the rental either so we would have had to go out and purchase everything then spend more time cleaning the entire place . Out of concern for the health of our baby we needed to leave. I hope others have a better experience.

This was the perfect vacation spot for our family . The ability to swim, kayak, and canoe any time of day was both enjoyable for the adults as well as the kids. We would definitely book this listing again!

Our host and hostess were friendly and helpful. They were available for any issues concerning the cottage. My 6 and 8 year old grandsons loved the sandy beach and all the toys provided. There were kayaks and a canoe available, but the adults really appreciated the gorgeous views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our New Hampshire vacation thanks to this cottage right on Lake Winnipesaukee. The beautiful, large deck on the lake with amazing views and sunsets. A small sandy beach with lots of beach toys is perfect for little ones, well, big ones, too, who like to build sand castles or swim. Several kayaks are easily accessible, so fun to explore the lake by kayak. It is a perfect spot with all you need to relax or play or go out on the lake. The cottage has all the amenities for preparing meals and hanging out, with great lake views from the living room and master bedroom. Marie is an ideal host, very gracious and responsive to every question (and I asked a lot of them, I’m afraid!). We spent a wonderful week here and would love to return.

We had a great time staying at this cottage. Location was perfect and Marie & Jerry were very welcoming. Communication was outstanding. Anything we needed, they were quick to reply and give us helpful suggestions. We would definitely recommend staying here. Even with 6 adults we had plenty of room. Our family had a wonderful vacation and hope to come back soon.

Our stay at Marie and Jerry's place was nothing less than perfect. From the second we arrived, to the time we left, they were exceptionally hospitable, and issues/questions we had were taken care of IMMEDIATELY.
It was my wife, stepson, daughter in law, and two granddaughters, and myself, and we all had such an incredible time enjoying the lake, small private beach, swimming, kayaking( I brought my own , but the second they saw us, they immediately offered the use of they kayaks). They even offered the use of their own grandchildren's toys to our 2 granddaughters. Our granddaughters became friendly with their grandchildren right away, and their parents were very welcoming and helpful with ours.
IMy wife and I can't say enough about this property and especially Marie and Jerry and their family's hospitality. Thank you to them for making such memories with our granddaughters , and the rest of our family.

Beautiful location. Quiet and away from the chaos, but close enough to join in the excitement when we wanted. Riding along the mountain roads provided breath taking scenery of the lakes and mountains.

Lovely location and beautiful cabin
This place was a wonderful lakeside getaway. Kitchen had everything we needed, rooms were spacious and more than enough for this family of 3. Screened in porch was perfect at night listening to the sounds and the waves on the lake. The beach was my daughters favorite and she played for hours. Relaxing in the water on the hot days was great. Perfect reminder of why the lake is such a special place. Also the owners were wonderful and brought us out on their boat which was magical. Thank you!

Beautiful Lakeside Cottage with Easy Water Access
Our family of 5 had a great time at Jerry and Marie's place! They are warm and welcoming hosts, and Jerry even took us out on their boat to see Lake Winnipesaukee. Despite a few days of rain, we never ran out of things to do. Jerry recommended Castle in the Clouds and a specific hike that our kids (ages 3, 6, and 9) were able to complete. We saw beautiful waterfalls and toured the "castle" after having lunch there. The nearby town of Meredith also had a lot of fun things to do: a train ride, boardwalk with arcade and shops, and a quaint downtown with shops and great restaurants.
The cottage was clean and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch every evening after the kids went to bed, and we all ate dinner out there every night. The kitchen was stocked with all the basic supplies, so I had no trouble cooking meals.
The best part was the amazing view of Lake Winni and easy access to the water. We just walked behind the cottage and had a nice deck with chairs to sit on, a dock with chairs, and a large beach area for the kids to play. The water near the beach is shallow enough that our kids happily played there all day. We are definitely planning to return next summer!

Great location!
This place was exactly what we were looking for. Right on the water with a great lake front but also a short distance from plenty of day hikes. We lucked out with great end of September weather and were able to eat outside on the big screened in porch and sit down by the water at night with a nice fire. Great spot that's close to just about anything you could need or want to do.

Great Time
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We love the lake and really enjoyed the beach. The kitchen was very well stocked and we really liked having the grill to cook dinner and eating on the screened in porch. It was fun to use the kayak and paddle board. Loved sitting by the water and listening to the loons !

Great Stay
We have a very nice week and our hosts Marie and Gerry were very nice and didn’t intrude at all. The cottage was clean and we had lots of nice breezes. My favorite thing to do was sit by the water and look out NJ on the lake. Very relaxing.

Lovely cottage
We had a fantastic stay! Nothing better than waking up right on the water. The beach was perfect and our kids loved the swim out dock and use of the kayaks. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We loved eating on the screened in porch every night and having the grill. Marie was quick to respond with any questions. We hope to return!

Wonderful people
Marie and Jerry were beyond the best hosts ever. I was a bit hesitant staying on property with the owners, but they made me feel at home and comfortable right away. They were very friendly, but not overwhelming. The property was perfect for four teenagers and two adults. The washer and dryer was a huge convenience when you don’t want to pack a lot of clothes. It was a wonderful relaxing time I highly recommend it!

Beautiful lake side cottage
Beautiful 3 bedroom cottage right on Lake Winnipesaukee. There is a 2 person kayak, a single paddle board/kayak (although 2 kids can use it if one kneels) and a 2 person canoe (a third person can use it if you are careful).
The cottage is fully equipped with a kitchen, cookware, plates, utensils, cups, a microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker. There are 3 bedroom: one with a queen bed and the other 2 each have 2 twin beds. There is an electric fireplace and TV with cable in the living room. If you prefer streaming TV or Netflix just bring your Fire Stick it will plug into the TV. Bathroom is fully stocked with TP as well.
Owners are very nice and very responsive.
Definitely recommend this place!
If you go for sure check take a ride in the sea plane as well!
If you are hungry stop at the market JoJo's right down the street and get their homemade sausage. You won't be disappointed!!!

A great location with wonderful lake toys, a beach, swimming raft, fire pit, and dock!
Marie and Jerry are fantastic hosts and even better people. Their place has great lake toys like a canoe, kayak, paddle board, fire pit, private beach & swimming raft, and a dock for our rental boat. The convenience of having boat gas so close was great. The sunsets were great and the water ever better. We spent a lot of time in the Adirondack chairs just enjoying a libation and listening to the loons. Thanks for a great stay.

Unwind, relax and enjoy your family!
We just returned from our week at the Mayotte's cottage. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind. The owners were very responsive to questions prior to our arrival. They were there to greet us once we arrived and were helpful in making suggestions on what to do in the area. The master bedroom is roomy and has a washer/dryer available for the renter's use. The two other bedrooms are very small, each with two twin beds, a closet and a dresser, but, seriously, who spends time in their room when on vacation? The living room was comfortable. The screened in porch was perfect for eating breakfast and dinner. The kitchen was well equipped with all of the essentials you need for the week. There is no air conditioning, but we never missed it since the lake provided a wonderful breeze for sleeping. There is a private dock/patio with a fire pit provided for the exclusive use of renters. Enjoying your morning coffee overlooking the lake never gets old! The owners provided "water toys" to help us enjoy the lake. In addition, Marie and Jerry took us for a 1 1/2 hour ride on their boat to show us the lake. The road that the cottage is on is a dead end dirt road. It contributed to the "cabin" feel and provided a very safe environment for our 2 year old grandson. There is a grocery store just two miles from the cottage. Moultonborough is the perfect central location for enjoying the area. It was an easy drive to Meredith, North Conway and Lake Squam. We hope to return again next summer.

Great lakeside cottage!
We REALLY enjoyed our time in the cottage! It was a great week of relaxing family time while making fun memories! Marie and Gerry could not have been nicer or more helpful and answered all questions prior to arrival and while staying in the cottage. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. It was great to have access to all the boats (kayak, sailboat, canoe) and we used them a lot during the week. The washer and dryer was also nice! The cottage was very clean. We enjoyed the fire pit on the patio overlooking the lake on several nights, and had many dinners in the sun porch using the grill. We would definitely recommend the cottage to friends and family!

Get busy or relax at Lake Winni.
Our hosts went out of their way to make us welcome. We chose this property because of the dock where we could keep our 21' Sailboat. Also, the location is sheltered from large waves that can be a problem at other locations on the big lake. Jerry took us in his boat to check out the nearby boat launch. This saved us a lot of time.
The cottage is charming and welcoming. Our first few days were cold and rainy. The electric fireplace took off the chill. We had a good view of the water from the couch and small table where we ate.
After the weather cleared, we enjoyed many things. For relaxing, I sat on the swing, which is really a converted ski lift chair. The we spent time sitting with family on the small patio, overlooking the private beach, with an expansive view of the lake.
For activities, the swimming was great. We tried the Versa board and sailed our boat.
Overall, what made this property good for us was the location. It is near the Long Island boat launch, and sheltered from rough water. The cottage is small but perfect for us as a party of 3.

Wonderful place to get away!
We had a wonderful week at "The Cottage" as we affectionately called it! We immediately felt relaxed and at home when we arrived. If you are looking for a place just to get away from it all for a bit, this place is it!
We used the kayaks, and paddleboards every morning and enjoyed the sunsets on the beach every night. Our 9 year old son even caught his first fish right off the dock. A truly memorable experience and a truly memorable place!

Perfect Cottage
Our first family trip to Lake Winnipesaukee and our stay was AMAZING! The Mayottes are wonderful to work with. Very friendly, accommodating and so helpful with information from docking our boat to accessing the internet. The description was accurate and the place was clean and well maintained and stocked with all the kitchen items you could possibly need, including BBQ tools. The screened in porch was perfect place to eat for our grill nights. Easy access to water and sandy beach for swimming, borrowing the Versa board, Kayak and Canoe as well as the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Perfect Cottage!

July 4th Week
My husband and I have been meaning to write this review for months now because this vacation was wonderful and deserves a great review! We stayed up at the cottage for the week of July 4th this past summer. My husband and I stayed for a few days by ourselves before we had family and friends visit throughout the week. The Mayottes are very kind, helpful and friendly people who made our stay very comfortable, fun and welcoming! The cottage is gorgeous, very clean and spacious! It has all of the amenities you would ever need for a week on the lake! The beach front is beautiful and has a great swimming area, raft, beach and dock. Gerry took us on his boat for a lengthy ride around the lake which we enjoyed very much! The area is great, close to many restaurants and town center! Our parents loved the house and even plan on renting it themselves for a week next summer! Our friends had a great time fishing, using their canoes and the versa board! The Mayottes were very laid back, the beach was relaxing and quiet, and anything we needed they were there to provide. We can't wait to go back next year, and we highly recommend that if you are thinking about staying here, please do!

We'll be back!
We had an absolutely wonderful time while staying at this cottage for our vacation week. Our two sons, 12 and 16 summed it up best by simply asking, “Can we come back here next year?” They both spent a lot of time swimming and enjoying the water toys the hosts have on a nice sandy beach. I am a novice boat owner and the hosts were most gracious helping me both launch and load my boat. The cottage has a nice screened in room where we enjoyed our dinner most nights and the living room was nice and comfy for watching movies at night. This was a peaceful fun filled vacation and I would recommend it to both couples and families.

Absolutely fantastic vacation!
I can't say enough good things about our time at the Lake! My boyfriend and I stayed at the cottage with his two children, ages 8 and 11. From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were overwhelmed! The lake is literally right in the backyard, which is a few short steps from the cottage. You walk first onto a fairly big deck, used exclusively by renters, and from there down onto a good sized sandy beach, occasionally shared by the homeowners, who are fantastic people. They were so welcoming and kind from the first day, and even offered to take the kids out on a boatride around the lake, which they LOVED! During the week, the property is pretty quiet, as the owners live/work elsewhere, which made for some very relaxing days catching some rays on the dock! They allowed us use of some of their boating equipment, including a canoe, versaboard, and sailboat- so much fun! The four of us were able to explore the lake together, which was great. The area of Moultonborough where the property is located is about 20-25 minutes away from Meredith, where there is a lot more shopping and action. BUT, I prefer the quiet almost country feel of Moultonborough to anything else- plus there is a small store called Jojo's right down the street for anything you may need to pick up without wanting to drive very far. Any activities one would want to do with kids are pretty close by- you never have to drive more than 20-45 minutes to have a fun filled afternoon, which we loved about the vacation. And at the end of the day we're right back at the most beautiful, serene spot one could ask for! We were able to set up a badminton net in the yard; we grilled almost every night and ate dinner in the huge open porch attached to the cottage. The master bedroom is amazing- waking up to waterviews is pretty tough to beat. The owners allowed us use of their firepit for our smores night- such a great time! All in all, I hope to come back to this cottage every summer- it really exceeded our expectations, to say the least! It doesn't hurt that the owners go out of their way to make your vacation enjoyable!
