We loved the house and the area of Uvita. Highly recommend.

Amazing property with a great view, excellent pool and beautiful setting.

This home was a perfect fit for our family. Beautiful location with a stunning view off the back terrace. The kitchen had everything you could possibly ever need, and there were plenty of board games to enjoy. The pool was great when the day got hot! There was really nothing we needed that was not already provided. be sure to get up early in the morning and enjoy the birds and howler monkeys!

The home was really clean and beautiful. The beds were comfortable. There were a lot of amenities for cooking which was really helpful. The road up to the house is not for the faint of heart and can be kind of confusing to get to going about 12 minutes up steep dirt roads, but once you do it the road gets easier. The views and property are gorgeous and worth it. Would recommend for adults and families with older kids, but maybe not toddlers.

Perfect home, with everything you need, awesome lookout and nature around the house, secure comunity with private road and gate.

They gave us the wrong gate code. So at midnight we had to walk over a mile up a gravel road in the rain forest. They insisted the code would work while we talked to them on the phone while we were at the gate. Got the correct code the next day.
Our refrigerator quit Friday, they sent someone at the end of the day Saturday, he was hours late. Didn't get it fixed till Monday, lost over $100 in fresh fish we bought for our stay.
Gate to house was broken and didn't appear to functional for quite some time. They wouldn't fix it.
Gas grill propane was empty, and no lighter (they did get us propane and a lighter).
The washing machine stained our white clothes and their towels.
The AC in the master bedroom flooded the room.
Lost power multiple times, house had backup generator. However, the propane tanks to the generator were shut off, so the generator never could come on.
I made countless calls to the local host with little to no reply. Then spent 2 weeks trying to get some compensation. We basically got one night back. Considering we almost slept in our car the first night, I think they poorly compensated us.
House and view were amazing. Give us the correct gate code and fix the fridge in less than 3 days and it would have been 5 stars all the way.
In closure, keep you fingers crossed everything is working and you get the right code, because you are getting little to no help once you get there.

So I started writing my review and since you can only use 1500 characters I don’t have enough to write everything that went on so I will just point out a few of the many things that happened to us at this place . First off the management company Vacasa is horrible stay away from their stuff you can look it up on the BBB as well and see all the complaints which I didn’t know about until after all this happened but from now on I will check there before I rent ! They habe us the wrong gate code and made us sit 45 mins to get the correct one then we pull into the house that was supposed to be available at 3pm and they were still in there cleaning it had it a mess they cleaned it until 6pm so we had to sit outside and wait for it to be cleaned . No one contacted us to let us know that . Then when they left we put our stuff up and was checking the bed sheets as I do everywhere I go and the ones in the master bedroom were dirty with blood on them and holes in them I have pictures I would be glad to show you . So I contact them they told me to Wash them Myself . I told them I wasn’t going to do that after I paid that much . Then a worker was in the house while we were gone he climbed in the window said he was fixing something that wasn’t even broken . Then the next day when we left the pool people came and cleaned the pool and also stole my tanning oil sitting out back. The house gate don’t shut and the house alarms don’t work so that’s all lies in their description . SCAMMERS! Theif

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Casa Latte.
The drive up the mountain is a bit of an adventure, but you'll get used to it.
The view is incredible, and the sunsets are breathtaking. The house is gorgeous and well-equipped with everything you might need. I already want to go back!

Just as pictured. Saw toucans daily, amazing sunsets, perfect pool, beautiful grounds. Follow the written instructions for getting their - NOT the Waze link they send. 4x4, ideally with high clearance, definitely required. Only downside to the property is that due to the condition of the road, we did not feel comfortable traveling after dark. But given how beautiful the house was, that wasn’t too bad!

The home is beautiful and feels luxurious. The open floor plan in the middle is perfect for opening all the doors and letting the breeze blow through. The outdoor tub is a wonderful touch and we used it almost daily, listening to the birds and rain and enjoying the view. The home is wonderfully stocked including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwasher pods and laundry soap. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are roomy. The not so wonderful part of the house is the drive up. There are two roads to access the home and unfortunately the route we took is completely washed out (1-2 foot ruts on a muddy road). When we finally found the correct road, it was so rough we decided not to leave the home at night or in the rain as it felt too dangerous. They were working on the road the day we left though, so perhaps it will be better for the next guests. We also lost wifi on day 2 of our stay and it took multiple attempts to get a response from the property manager. Ultimately it did not get restored during our stay, leaving us without any form of communication to our family, no music, no tv. The home is not stocked with books or games, so when the power goes out and it gets dark at 5:30, there is not much to do at the home in the evening. We also had small ants in the kitchen and bathroom. They weren’t too much of a nuisance, but we could not leave any fruit or snacks on the counter. Ultimately, as beautiful as the home itself is and wonderful the view, I would not stay here again.

Exceeded expectations! It was the perfect place for our gathering of friends with kids. Everyone loved the pool! I loved the amazing outdoor bathtub!

We had an amazing 3 nights at Casa Latte. Beautifully luxurious and the pictures don't do it justice. Exceptionally well appointed throughout. They view was fantastic. We had groups of toucans every morning. and beautiful sunsets at night. The road up the mountain is no joke though even for those of us who have experience with off-road treks. Just go. You won't regret it. We hope to return some time.

My stay at the Casa Latte exceeded my expectations. The home accommodated our group of 6 comfortably, with beautiful ocean views, spacious bedrooms, earthy bathrooms, and generous common areas. The intentional layout made it easy to navigate, while the bath tub and infinity pool were a particular highlight, perfect for relaxing at sunset after a beautiful day on the beach.
Overall, I highly recommend Casa Latte for anyone seeking a jungle getaway with stunning scenery and unbeatable comfort and convenience. It was an amazing experience, and I can't wait to return in the future.
Just please update the exact coordinates of the house and please make easier turn by turn directions. I do very well with my sense of direction and have been to Uvita many times but the directions they gave were not helpful in my option. At least just please update the google location pin. Thanks Again

Beautiful home in beautiful locations! Great view of the Pacific from the pool. Toucans daily, monkeys near by one day and Coati visiting often. Pool is nice size to cool off in after a day fishing or on the beach. Bedrooms all comfortable and each with own bathroom. 4th bathroom convenient off the pool. Had an issue with the refrigerator and Milena at Vacasa was quick to respond. Milena provided outstanding service. House is near restaurants and groceries. Everything you need in Uvita. Took a couple fishing charters out of Uvita and saw whales and caught tuna and amberjack. Perfect vacation! Pura Vida!

A gorgeous home set in a lush west facing tropical garden with infinity pool, in a stunning hill top location over looking the ocean. Stylish beach-vibe decor and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay inside and outside, a home from home with thoughtful touches. Sit back and watch the toucans, hummingbirds and ever-changing sunsets.

This home is beyond beautiful. Everything one would need, even an espresso/latte machine! Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and is air conditioned, if you want. There is another bathroom accessible from the pool. We had an issue with the dishwasher and they came next day and fixed it promptly. We asked for a few groceries to be delivered as we weren't getting in til late and they were there. The drive up to the house was challenging at first, but our men easily got used to it.
Stunning view and sunsets. Would highly recommend this house!

Fantastic views and is laid out so well that it easily handles 3 couples even though we only had 2 and it was perfect.

Beautiful property, beautiful view, beautiful home, well appointed, tough access road.
We had a great stay, saw parrots, Toucans, Howler monkeys, all from our patio. Would highly recommend this property.
We had 3 couples and it was very comfortable for all of us.
Consider a flight from San Jose to small nearby airport. Dominical airport?

Everything was Pura Vida! There was anything and everything you needed at the home, we only ate out in Uvita twice. Pool and view were incredible. Directions from Vacasa with pictures helped a lot bc the drive up is an adventure (get the 4x4). We can't wait to go back!

We stayed in Casa Latte for two weeks. It is a comfortable house, with a wonderful patio. We enjoyed it.
We were surprised that during a two-week stay there was never any maid service. The house was not stocked with adequate amounts of toilet paper. We did purchase needed items at the Supermercado.
Despite my quibbles I would recommend Casa Latte for your lodging in the Uvita area.

Wonderful location, perfect scenery, the villa is simply extraordinary, very clean and fully equipped. Vacasa made the check-in really simple. We would recommend without hesitation.

We absolutely LOVED this gorgeous house. We’ve been in luxurious homes before, but this one is super special because of it’s amazing views!!! What a gem! Stunning property with views to match. This property contemplated everything and sets a new bar for luxury with top notch furnishings and chefs kitchen. Stock up at the local store and there is no reason to leave. We heard from friends that the power had gone out in the whole of Uvita - but not at Casa Latte. We discovered that the owners had thoughtfully installed a back up battery system that seamlessly comes on during power outages so we never even noticed!
We actually wanted to book this place for March 2023 and sadly the place is already booked. We suggest booking this place fast to avoid missing out!

This house was hands down one of the nicest vacation rentals i've ever stayed in. From the moment you type the password into the gate, to the moment you make it up the hill into the driveway, you are left SPEECHLESS. This home has it ALL. Opening the front door and peering out over the pool through the sliding living room doors you get the most magical view of the jungle and Ocean. Who needs to go out to dinner when you can cook in the home while watching the sunset. There is NO NEED for air conditioning in the house when you have the breeze flowing through with the doors and windows open. The kitchen is SO well equipped for anything you might need to make from smoothies to espresso to paninis. The grill outside makes for perfect less mess options. The master bedroom and bathroom are perfectly light and jaw dropping. The internet speed made it easy to work remote after spending the afternoon in the pool. The pool was super clean as was the rest of the house. DO NOT SKIP ON THIS HOUSE IF IT IS AVAILABLE. Make sure you have a 4x4 car (we did not) for easy in and out travel. The Car rental did not give us one when we reserved it, but i was still able to maneuver up the driveway after the first try. This house is perfect for a couple, a family, or a group of friends looking for a QUIET weekend in the mountains. It is LUXURIOUS. 4 nights was not enough time.
Book it for as long as you can, you will never want to leave.

Heaven on earth
Everything about this property was beautiful. My husband & I stayed at casa latte for a week for our honeymoon. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bedrooms were immaculate & the pool is something you just need to see in real life to believe & the view from the pool is something I will never forget. The town of Uvita is home to some of the most incredible & kind people I’ve ever met. It also has quite a few good restaurants, incredible beaches & a grocery store all very close to the house.
We hope to return to this house & town of Uvita next year with our family.
The ONE thing that I had wished was better was the communication from the property managers at vacasa. We showed up to check in at around 4:45 & the cleaning staff was still there & cleaning. We woke up the next morning to landscapers all over the property who were there until about 1pm & later that same day the pool cleaner showed up. Luckily he mentioned he comes twice a week so we were ready for him the second time.
I cannot state enough that all of these people were incredibly professional & kind & I understand these things are needed to keep a house looking as beautiful as this one does, however I wish vacasa had communicated with us about it all.

Beautiful views
We thoroughly enjoyed Casa Latte. The house is beautiful and the grounds and views spectacular.
The inside of the house is nicely decorated. The hot water was actually hot (this was our second time in the area and the other house didn't really have hot water).
We didn't have internet for the first couple of days, but the problem was from the internet company. The Vacassa team was very responsive and helpful (with this and any other questions we had.)
Our kids enjoyed the pool A LOT. For the adults, the best part was the morning coffee by the pool, while watching the toucans and other beautiful birds.
We already miss Casa Latte and will cherish the memories created there.
Oh and yes, you do need a 4x4 year round. I recommend reading the detailed instructions of how to get there (always up and left ;).

House and stay was everything advertised. Only glitch is that the directions to get to house were dead wrong. Made several trips up the mountain until a local helped us in the right direction. There are some signs on the road (need to be in right place to follow them) but several are covered over with foliage. Look for Vista Ballena and once you reach it go left (sign we missed) on gravel road. Road is a beast, have a powerful 4x4 not a small SUV. Our rental company had to bring us a new 4x4 from San Jose after the first several attempts looking for the house. Once you find it....it is well worth the effort. Great pool and outside area with a fantastic view! Grounds were well landscaped with plenty of wildlife all around. A true jungle experience! Super clean inside! Rooms were big! Master suite was unbelievable especially the shower and outdoor tub. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty private with own driveway entrance as well as end of street shared gate. Little to no traffic and even when there was all you could do was hear it. Would definitely return!
