This home was exactly what we were looking for. It's perfect for a weekend get away. The home was very clean with basic start up of supplies. The screened in porch is perfect for those late night chats without getting eaten up by mosquitoes. You're only 5 minutes from town with plenty to do. The hot tub was nice but only big enough for 2 maybe 3 people. You can fit 4 but not comfortably. The deer are amazing to watch when drinking coffee on the screened in porch. The only think we suggest is bring a fan for those staying in the green bedroom to help circulate the cool air into the bedroom. The house is cooled by 2 window units. One in the blue bedroom and the other in the living room area. They cool the place down fine but you can't close the doors to the green bedroom and bathroom or it gets super hot. We highly recommend staying here for a quit weekend getaway. Will definitely be going back.

We got an email the evening before our check in date saying the bedroom A/C was out. It would be replaced the second day so we would have a night without A/C if we chose to stay. Many options were given to us but we decided to stay because it was our anniversary trip and a holiday weekend. It was still perfect! The unit in the living room cooled the main bedroom enough so we were comfortable. Over all we had a great trip. The place was very clean and the hot tub was nice even in July.

First off, the place was nice and relaxing. But, the ac in the master bedroom was noisy and did not cool. The comforter in the small bedroom was dirty. Looked like blood on it that someone attempt to clean and dirt. There was shorts with underwear and bloody kotex in it, under bed. Roaches and dropping in cabinet. Had to wash dishes before used. We paid 100 for cleaning, I did not expect that. Made me wonder if it was cleaned at all.

Nice & quiet
House was clean and ready for us. Close to shopping and downtown Wimberly.

Remote but close
This is a cute property that is in a remote area yet close enough to quickly get to Wimberly, wineries, Old Baldy and many more local attractions. The owner is very responsive and actions any issues quickly. We played cornhole and relaxed in the hot tub after our walks around town.

Roaches in the oven cupboards & shower walls
Roaches climbing out of the oven when turned on, roaches and roach droppings in all of the kitchen cabinets. Roaches coming out of the walls during the shower. One even came out of the guestbook while looking it over while sitting on the couch and it ran into the couch cushion. I screamed and jumped out of there. I messaged the host with no reply through messaging and also through email with pictures and videos with the roaches all over. Still no reply. After killing about 30 roaches (not exaggerating) the first night and no reply or assistance we booked and stayed the remainder of our trip at another place we found which was very clean, nice and cockroach free. We understand it’s the hill country so there may be a spider, ants and other bugs, we are from Texas….but these cockroaches were everywhere and from food and just not having the place properly maintained with an exterminator being kept up on with routine cleaning. Very disappointed.

Ok
Owner provided great directions to get to the house and it was nice and tidy. The floor was slick from bug spray. There were several roaches in the house. We were expecting bugs because it’s in the woods but not roaches. The smaller bedroom gets quite hot bc there isn’t a window unit in that room.
Overall the stay was good. Perfect area to stay in to get to the wineries and distilleries. As long as bugs don’t scare you and it’s not the peak of summer you’ll be good.

Didn't stay
There was a bug problem and we got a refund immediately. Had to go to a hotel with 2 dogs and 2 kids. Not ideal, but the owner was quick to resolve the situation and refund our lodging fare.

Okay get away
Property was nice location, and clean. But it does have a roach problem. I’m a country girl but these were the small little roaches not the tree or wood roaches . Place needs to be fumigated.

Perfect getaway! Loved watching the deer from the screened in porch and walking in the neighborhood.

Lovely place!
Had a great time at the cabin. Was bigger than we expected, bed was very comfortable, hot tub and fire pit were nice amenities. Property was a bit less secluded than we thought but still plenty of privacy. Saw tons of deer and the fresh hill country air was a welcome change from our usual suburbia and urban views. Small hiccup with check in but manager/owner got back to us with a solution quickly (user error). Shopping in Wimberly, the Salt Lick, and Jacobs well all close to the cabin and gave us a good sight-seeing day. Overall loved this cabin, will likely stay here again if we visit Wimberly again.

The cutest coziest getaway house! We went for the weekend looking to get away from our normal routine and this was perfect. Hot tub and fire pit were the best amenities! Def. Would book again! The only thing that worried us was a warning sign against “chiggers vs bed bugs.” We didn’t have any problems with that though. Chiggers are common in the hill country, but we did not get bit. The place was clean.

Cabin in the woods
Very nice stay at the cabin. The road to the cabin is accurately describes as rough. Hot tub is a nice addition to this rustic house. Lots of deer on this area.

Cleanest hottub on the market!
I regret not contacting the property manager to ask about wifi before chosing this listing. The property has a modem that is used for cable, but no wifi! Beware if you need it! Everything else was wonderful. The hottub was very clean, thank you so much for that. The deer are friendly and the completely screened in porch was an excellent addition.

Everything was clean, easy access to what we needed. Enjoyed the jacuzzi. Only a few setbacks....said in our note wifi wasnt set up yet, however, there was a wifi box next to tv. Text manager for info, never heard a response. Figured out ourselves. Second, one sofa stained and cushion had hole and stuffing coming out. Also back yard was swarming with ants. So we couldnt enjoy a fire in the back. Everything else was great though.

Just OK
This property was exactly as pictured, except there are no rocking chairs. It meets basic needs, and it is off the beaten path. Outdoor furniture isn't in good condition. No information provided for operating heat, TV or WiFi; and manager response time was about 24 hours.

The property has a ton of potential, and we really wanted to love it, but there were definitely things that need attention. Understandably it’s a rental property and lots of people come and go. When we arrived, the location is nice, deer everywhere, very peaceful, quiet area. The house itself has a few Cosmetic bumps But it’s nice.We did have a few issues. First, the couch is completely worn out. We had hoped to come and relax and get away during this crazy time. Unfortunately there was nowhere comfortable to relax for an entire family. The pullout bed on the couch had fallen through on one end, so the couch cushions would just fall into the couch when you sat, and you’d be on the boards. We didn’t even attempt to pull the bed out of it. We also had issues with the table chair legs, 2 Chairs were wobbly but one was so much that we didn’t want to risk sitting in it. I was going to have my husband try to fix it, but ended up pulling the tiny chair from the living room over. I did message the manager (not sure if she’s the owner) about the Hot tub, and mentioned the couch and chairs as well. She responded about the hot tub and offered to send someone out the next day to vacuum, but no response about the couch or chairs. We ended up putting the throw pillows under the cushions to lift them up some, and managed to make it somewhat comfortable. The pool guy showed up as we were checking out early. We didn’t use the grill the gas one was dirty and I wasn’t cleaning it. The cast iron skillet was great though, so I managed! The last issue we had, honestly could have been anything but I will mention it. 3 out of 4 of us came home with bug bites. They could have been from outside or inside we don’t know. My kids didn’t spend much time outside because it was hot and they’re teens tied to their technology. The location of the bites makes it seem like it happened while laying on the couch or something, my daughters got infected and had to go to the doctor (clearly nobody’s fault but icing on the cake, right?). Either way, I emailed the manager again when we checked out to let her know the property may need to be checked for fleas or something, as I know it’s “pet friendly”. I never received a response to this message. I know this is in a very popular area, and it’s a “budget” rental, but honestly for the cost I spent for 3 nights, I had hoped to relax and enjoy my stay but left stressed. Hopefully these issues will be addressed for the next guest.

Wimberly trip
It was overall a good experience! When we arrived the house didn’t have clean sheets but they handled it very quickly! The property manager and cleaning crew was very good at making it good! The internet does not work at all! So don’t go if you need WiFi!

Perfect!
I read all of the reviews before booking this house and expected to have problems... Boy was I shocked. Not a single problem! The location is great, feels secluded, has tons of deer and feels like you're in the woods.
The house is older, as are most of the houses we rent in Wimberly. It is great for the price! No complaints. It's fully stocked, you don't need to bring anything but food and your own clothes!
The screen porch is amazing and perfect for coffee in the morning.
The hot tub worked perfectly. The shower was fine.
The "dirt road" just added to the charm.
The beds were comfy.
There is no water access... but 7A is right down the road.
The manager was prompt and fixed a mistake I made quickly and efficiently.
Over all, it was a great experience and we will use this home again.

Loved the Cabin-No Wifi
There was no WiFi password available and the property manager was NOT helpful. Don’t book this property depending on WiFi like we did. The hot tub took forever to warm up. Wasn’t warm until the 2nd day. Everything else was good.

Okay property needs some work
I enjoyed the weekend with my friends and the location was good but the house itself needs some work. It needs a brand new shower. The water doesn’t drain and it it leaks everywhere. It settles underneath the laminate and there is a lot of water damage. The white shower current is orange brown on the bottom. Three windows have no window coverings. The wine opener is broken and there is a broken window above the sink. The hot tub works but it’s small. The screened in porch is cool and the house is very spacious. The entire house could use some updating and new paint. Wimberley is a cool little town though and the house is close to everything. It’s about 20 minutes from a winery. Great time with friends but probably won’t go back.

Such a disappointment!
Well, first of all, we had a difficult time finding the house. Then, we noticed that the french doors were open into the house. Called the prop mgr, Megan, and she had the handyman come out to check out the house first. He finally came, said that sometimes the doors get opened with the winds, walked inside, closed the doors from the inside and left. The bed in the master was unmade and the clothes were in the washing machine, unwashed. The cabin was very cold and there were a couple of space heaters in the house. We went outside and pushed open the french doors just to be sure that they were indeed locked and they opened, no problem. Tried it a third time and same thing happened. It obviously hadn't been cleaned yet even though Megan told us it was ready to go and we could check in. It didn't not take us 2 seconds to decide that we could not stay in this place. If for no other reason than security. Megan, the property manager, was super nice and very helpful by finding us another place to stay and it was absolutely wonderful. This little cabin needs alot of work if it is to be rented out. It could have potental!

Great stay
Property was perfect for our stay. Close location to Wimberley. Off the beaten path for sure. But we arrived at night and there are no lights in the woods and the address sign was very small and hard to see... also the shower floor is cracked around the drain and leaks. The toilet float would stick closed and not refill with water, had to remove the top and press the float down to fill up the toilet.. but was a very clean house and kept warm inside even though it was 30s outside during our stay. Thank you

Has potential
Place has potential but needs a few things. Needs new ac units and an additional one. The one in bedroom barely puts out air and is so noisy you couldnt sleep. It's Texas and even in October it's a 100 degrees. My travel partner couldn't sleep in 2nd room due to no a/c and no window dressings, it's a bedroom the wimdow needs some sort of privacy covering. We ended up leaving a day early even tho fully paid for because we couldn't get any sleep due to it being so hot. I also cleaned the ac units filters which hadnt been cleaned Im guessing in 8 or 9 months if not more. I took a picture and would be happy to send it to owner of how thick the gunk was on them. It could use a good scrubbing in general.
The pros: the screened in porch was lovely. Directions wete easy and had no problem with gps signal (Tmobile & ATT), location was close proximity to everything we wanted to see.

Great Property
We really loved the secluded feel of the cabin. It was very clean and spacious. Loved the screen porch. It was hot when we stayed there so we didn't use the hot tub, but it was working and well maintained. It was down a dirt, but our car did fine. We would definitely stay there again.

Very disappointed
The directions for finding the property was very confusing. We almost gave up and found a hotel after being list in the woods for 1.5 hours. The management dud not return our calls for help until 5 calls later. We also could not bathe from Friday to Sunday. I sent multiple messages via the app and several text messages but still no response. No hot water and it only drizzled from the showerhead. We opened the lid to the hottub and it smelled like an entire bottle of bleach was in it. We could not use it due to the smell of bleach. We have 2 pools and we know what chlorine smells like, this was not chlorine. It was bleach. Thank goodness it was only myself and my husband. We would have had to leave if our kids had been with us. I have a video of no water. There us not a tub so we bathed with washrags from the bathroom sink as there was hot water in the sink.

Quick Family getaway
Was easy to get to, although the road was pretty rough to the cabin. Was close to the town maybe 10 mins away so it was convenient. It was a little warm in the cabin and the 2nd bedroom doesn’t have ac. The toilet needed fixing but the manager was quick to resolve so was happy about that! Overall felt was a good cabin for the purpose.
