The location was beautiful, overlooking a luscous field with several horses. It was quiet and well-maintained. I had the opportunity to speak to one of the owners, and we had a nice chat during which he told me about the property's history.
The place came with a guest recommendation book, which was extremely useful.
I wish I booked a longer visit, that is the only negative but that's my fault!

This is such a gorgeous property and really lovely accommodation. We stayed in the 3bedroom house and it was modern, clean, spacious and also very cozy. Beautiful views, quiet and very private. John and Chris are fantastic hosts, very kind and accommodating, especially to my little nieces who were travelling with us. John invited the girls to collect some chicken eggs and Chris took us to meet a couple of the horses and pony they have on the property. Was a real treat to have a few days here, caught up on some much-needed R&R. Great kitchen for cooking, a bath tub for those chilly days, lovely views from each bedroom and the open space living and dining. Can’t wait to come and stay again. Thanks John and Chris!
3.5
Lovely rural location, nicely appointed accommodation with everything you need including kitchen essentials, bedding and towels. Separate shared laundry and warm dog wash was a bonus. Friendly hosts. The Blorenge one bed cottage has an enclosed patio, the other two have grass outside the sliding doors though not enclosed (to note if your dog is a wanderer).
Nice local walks into different woods or across fields and 10-20 mins drive from so many others in the Wye valley and up into Forest of Dean. Chepstow shops and restaurants just 10 mins by car.
We have a reactive young dog so lack of curtains on Juliet balcony window wasn't ideal as she could see the horses. There is a folding screen to use but it's not quite the same coverage.
A coat rack above the welly tray would be a useful addition for damp jackets.

Gorgeous peaceful location, easy access to town, high quality accomm, we are going to book all 3 units for next year.
Would have liked access to cleaning equipment like a broom, hoover and mop and bucket. Down pillows instead of the hard foam ones would have helped for that perfect nights sleep, 3 of the 5 adults had problems with the foam pillows.

Location
En-suite bedrooms but see below.
Large dining table
Fast internet access
Use of landline telephone (no signal for mobiles)
Ability to have up to two guests stay overnight (on sofa bed) for a reasonable nominal fee.
The dog shower.
Low quality kitchen cupboard handleless doors and drawer fronts: finger groove too small for a man and not deep enough for a woman with long fingernails. Most need adjusting as they interfere with each other.
Tumble drier not working and washing machine too dirty inside to use.
Basin tap in en-suite too big, preventing bending over sufficiently to wash one's face without getting water over the floor. The glass shelf also interfered with washing one's face. At the side is a perfectly adequate wall for any shelves on which to put toiletries.
Sofas only suitable for basketball players, not normal size people.
Not enough hangers in wardrobes: Five (per person) isn't anywhere near enough for a week's clothing ( a question was asked of Welsh Marches about adequacy of hangers and the reply was, ¨.. no-one has complained so far.¨).
Many doors to the outside but only one doormat inside main entrance. Bearing in mind the Welsh climate, surely each door should have a doormat, at least inside?
Being in a remote location, the need to bring groceries is understood, but is it too much to expect dishwasher tablets to be provided?

Perfect location
No power socket near the mirror for the hairdryer

Location was perfect for our weekend activities which were concerts at Chepstow racecourse.
Kitchen was fully equipped, lounge was really cosy and the bedroom was extremely comfortable.
We didn't like the fact that we'd only booked 3 nights. Wish we'd booked a longer stay.

Perfect location for seeing friends and family in Gloucestershire and the Welsh valleys. Peaceful with lovely walks around. Found some lovely human and dog friendly pubs too - what's not to like?
Nothing. Missing a few basics on our visit, like washing up liquid and shower gel but otherwise well equipped and just what we needed.

the accommodation was, comfortable with a large bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The owners provided helpful information about several local walks and places of interest to visit. The location was so picturesque and peaceful. We are already planning our return visit.
We liked everything.

Very nice holiday home with an amazing view, Lovely walks nearby and a very good base for walking in Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.. Very friendly hosts and accomodation is clean and well designed. Would like to visit again in the future.
Just one little comment There were only main lights and no additional side lamps for a cosy atmosphere in the living room / kitchen area.

Beautiful place and location. Perfect to relax. We loved it!!

Location for exploring Wye Valley and surrounding area, the view, large bedrooms with ensuite facilities to each bedroom. Modern, well stocked kitchen, good directions sent out by host.
Very little to dislike, a LITTLE more contact with host would be nice although easy access via keybox and code was handy. Pizza cutter in kitchen would be useful addition. Sameday repairs would be appreciated (glass shelf in bathroom just needed someone with a screwdriver and 15 minutes spare to resolve slipping shelf issue).

Needs thick curtains to rear to reduce heat input in hot weather. We were not there during the super hot weather but it was still too hot

Loved the location and how private and away from everything it was, even with only being a short drive from Chepstow. Staff were really friendly and checked on us when we weren't sure about check in! The house itself was beautifully presented and clean, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!
Nothing!

View from balcony is a big WOW factor! Very peaceful and picturesque. Very comfy bed and sofa.
No bottle opener or corkscrew so had to drive out when we had just arrived to buy them.
4.5
Quiet location however only 4 or 5 miles to Town very clean parking outside if bringing horse box it can be tight on country access road to property so if attending shows at David Broome ideal property to book

Great location and very comfortable accommodation.
We had a great walk to Tintern Abbey from the cottage and the instructions and information were very helpful.
It would have been perfect if there was a small enclosed area for the dogs. There are 3 cottages all next to one another but the gardens are not enclosed.
Unfortunately we did not meet our hosts, even though we stayed for 5 nights
