About this apartment rental
This is an ideal place where couples or friends can relax in private for a romantic getaway.
This lovely, fully renovated colonial cottage-style bed sit studio is fully self contained, and situated in an elevated 1 acre of grounds. right on Gregory Lane, a private lane which overlooks the town of Whangamata.
This sweet little hideaway also has attractive polished wooden floors. It has a modern smart kitchenette and ensuite bathroom plus a hot water outdoor shower to wash off the sand from the beach.
Your comfort and warmth is ensured with a heat pump and cosy electric blanket, plus a choice of summer or winter weight duvets and bed quilt. A flat screen TV and Freeview ensures quality viewing.

A delightful bush walkway along the Moana-anu estuary with access from nearby Brenton Place, brings you out on the main road to the bridge and a short walk past the marina into the town for your latte and newspaper.
The Studio is adjacent to a restored colonial style kauri cottage holiday home but your privacy is ensured as you have use of the entire property. If the owners occupy their holiday home they would let you know of this in advance.

Beautiful property with well-maintained gardens, spacious studios, and helpful hosts. Ideal for a peaceful retreat close to town.

Beautiful property with a well maintained garden. The studio is well appointed and spacious. International travellers need to be aware that you will need to bring your own bed linen however for an additional charge you could hire bed linen from the vendor,

Had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful studio. Exactly what I needed. Will definitely stay again.

Apart from a token kitchen with no hob, this is a well equipped cottage with nice touches throughout. The concerns are the‘traditional’ practice of charging extra for bedding ie burying part of the actual cost for overseas visitors in the small print; the lack of key collection information until after arrival (stressful for oldies); noise from trucks on the adjacent main road can also be intrusive. As former owners of holiday cottages for many years it is clear that this property is run for the convenience of the owner not the guest.

Stayed a week. Planning on 2 next year. Charming and elegant hosts. Beautiful green gardens surround the place. Really do not need anything else.

Beautiful relaxing tasteful interior, detached/next to large main house and garden area. Lush sub-tropical surrounding garden with relative privacy.
We spent most of the time at the beach, of course!
With a lot of work going on around Coromandel at the mo, this bypass road had a dozen trucks along the the road 25m above the accommodation. For medium/light sleepers might be challenging (for partner fine, for me no so much).

Property was lovely and was exactly how I hoped it was from the pictures and description. Close to the town, but you had to drive. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. Would love to stay there again sometime.

Awesome cottage that has everything you need for a short stay. Really close to town. Very private even though you are close to their home. Beautiful landscaping and gardens. Really really lovely hosts 😊

stunning property with good location. tucked away enough to have privacy but still close to everything you need in the town

Great clean and tidy little studio - superb for a couple! Nice location, although next to the by-pass road, the intermittent traffic does not bother you.
There is everything you need for a short to medium length stay and it is no problem to supply your own linen as requested.
Check-in process and departure were simple and easy - the information sent out on booking, and that supplied at the studio are an absolute guide to get through these processes.
We were lucky enough to meet the owners - who were staying in the adjacent property at the time and they were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful...but also treated you with the utmost respect and privacy at all times.
A GREAT STAY - THANK YOU. WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO GO THERE AGAIN!!

I so enjoyed being able to stay in the cottage. It is an terrific set-up with comfortable bed, small kitchen and nice bathroom. Beautifully decorated and the cottage is surrounded by gardens and has a front deck. Simply wonderful. Also communication with the host was seamless and responsive. I hope to stay again in the future.

lovely studio and provisions. private and quiet area while still very accessible to everything in the Whangamata area. One street over is access to a very nice estuary walk

I thoroughly enjoyed my short break in this gorgeous cottage. Everything was as described with a comfy bed and very pretty little garden area to read a book or sit in the sun. The cottage has all you need for a relaxing stay. The Wi-Fi is rural so don’t expect to stream your favourite TV show (but you’re in a place conducive to reading and relaxing so should be throwing away the device for the duration of your stay and enjoying the tranquility) Road noise was not an issue as other guests have commented. Hosts had great communication and were very gracious. Thank you.

The studio was beautifully presented, privately nestled behind the main house, surrounded by a lovely scented garden, peacefully located on the towns fringe. Easy passage into town, onfoot or by car. The studio had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed!

Very nice natural setting, peaceful, clean studio space with everything you need. On the edge of town, within walking distance. The walk is nice past the stream and marina. There was a folder in the room with maps & a list of local eateries, things to do. An effort has been made to make it feel like a holiday. The bed was comfortable, and being winter it was nice to have the heater. The room gets good natural light.

Had a lovely stay, property is amazing

Nice place, not the best equipped but adequate. Nice sit out area in garden although it was noisy during day due to road proximity, night ok. The WiFi was dire kept dropping out. Too many ornaments for my liking but that's a personal thing, others may find it homely and inviting. Didn't realise when booked we had to ask/ pay for linens. Also 1st place we'd been asked to clean and strip beds. We always leave places we stay as immaculate as poss, so cleaning up wasn't an issue. A pleasant stay overall.

Was an absolute privilege to stay at such a beautifully presented property, would definitely want to return again one day. Very friendly communications from the hosts and everything was exactly as they said it would be, perfect!

Located a short drive into town with beautiful beach and nice restaurants. The studio is comfortable and the kitchenette is well stocked for a small kitchen. It sits on a nicely manucured garden acreage.
The only negative for me was the constant traffic noise from large trucks driving by on the highway all night long. I found it hard to get a good night's rest.
As per the listing there are no linens provided (They are available at an additional charge upon pre-arrangement), you must clean the unit for the next guest and take your trash to the landfill. I only mention this as it is something that International travelers may not understand as this is the only property that I have had to do this.

My husband and I wanted a quite weekend away where he could fish and I could read. This location is not in the heart of the hassle and bustle of whangamata which meant we had the peace and quite of birds and bush around us.
We sat outside one evening till dark sitting on the patio. The next night we ventured in to town for dinner.
We enjoyed the lovely room and amenities and will be visiting again in a heart beat.
Host were lovely!

Awesome owner, lovely place. Just a few minutes from town. Highly recommended

Beautiful little studio in a perfect area just out of town. Close enough to enjoy the town but far enough away to relax and enjoy the quiet. The cabin is next to the hosts holiday home but that in no way affected our feeling of privacy. The hosts were very friendly and communication was great.
