We had a lovely short break staying at The Garden Room in the grounds of Andy and Vivienne's property.
It is a super space. Very comfy and quiet, and we found everything we needed.
Andy and Vivienne are perfect hosts and we enjoyed our chats.
Somerton is close by for essentials, and there are also various pubs for eating out.
Lots of places to visit nearby as well so a great location.
We would totally recommend and would be very happy to return.

We have traveled a great deal in the west country, and I am delighted to say that this is one of the loveliest and most comfortable places we have ever stayed. It’s a beautiful building, with comfortable furnishings, plenty of space for two, and a very thoughtful arrangement of comfy seating so that the Garden Room feels even larger than it is. The kitchen provided everything we needed for meals at home, and preparing picnics.
Vivienne and Andy are fine hosts, and welcomed us like old friends. They have a beautiful garden full of trees, flowers and butterflies, and the property offers a spacious, private outdoor space with a table and chairs. There's also a comfortable covered side porch. While we spent our days traveling, we enjoyed the Garden Room so much that we were content to spend our evenings at home, taking a leisurely walk, and enjoying the beauty of the place. Stay up late and check out the stars on a clear night. It's worth it.
The location is rural and peaceful, and just a short drive from so many good walks and beautiful towns and villages. Wells, Frome, Glastonbury, the Mendips, and even the Dorset coast are all within easy reach.
You'll find a drawer full of maps and brochures, and a helpful binder of information. When we chatted with Vivienne and Andy, they offered a wealth of additional local knowledge.
We loved our visit, and our hosts were delightful. We would love to return.

If you are looking for a complete sense of peace, comfort and tranquility this is for you. It is tastefully and elegantly furnished yet cosy and comfortable. The surrounding garden and conservatory are just beautiful. The wood burning stove completed a perfect picture. It is very conveniently located for sight seeing and nearby Somerton is handy for food shopping. Wish I had had more rainy days to stay indoors and appreciate it, will just have to book again! Vivienne and Andy were fantastic, warm and welcoming and on hand for anything! 10/10 highly recommend! X

We had an amazing stay in the Garden Room and were made to feel very welcome by Vivienne, Andy and Frankie the dog. Set in a beautiful location, we enjoyed a tour of the garden and our numerous chats about the area, antiques and wildlife/nature. The Garden Room is beautiful with all mod cons and plenty of space. We could very happily live there!! We would highly recommend a stay here and very much hope we will be able to return one day soon. Thank you Viv and Andy, it was lovely to meet you both.

25th Silver Wedding Anniversary Road Trip
When we first arrived and was shown the accommodation it took my breath away. This place is something else and some. The pictures on the Web site don't do it justice. It was beautifully presented and was beyond our expectations. We chose this property as one of our stop off points. So glad we did it was fabulous.
If you are thinking of somewhere to stay in Somerset then I would highly recommend you stop here.
Thank you for making this stay magnificent
Regards.

Full Retreat
I was visiting Somerset, a county I had lived in for nearly 20 years until 2 years ago just so I could catch up with some old friends, but also so I could get some writing done. Naturally I was looking for somewhere peaceful and secluded. I hit the jackpot. It is rustic, comfortable, peaceful and is centrally located in the county so everywhere is within reach. The hosts are kind, friendly and always helpful. I will return and can heartily recommend this cottage to anyone.

A beautiful retreat
Just spent a very relaxing 2 nights here and can thoroughly recommend a visit here. Andy and Vivienne were very friendly and showed us all around the accommodation and Where we could take the dogs for a walk. Tea coffee milk and biscuits were ready for us when we settled in and the Harden room itself was immaculate and exactly like the pictures. Our 3 dogs loved running around the 2 acres with Frankie.
Overall a lovely couple of days. Many thanks Jayne and Andy
