We had a lovely stay and would have liked to stay longer

We loved the position on the lake. Sitting on the veranda watching the swans, ducks and boats was delightful. Unfortunately we didn’t see the otter or the kingfisher.

We weren’t there long enough☹️

It was our first time visiting the Lake district and we'll definitely be back!

The location was perfect! Very peaceful with a beautiful view from the balcony over the harbour and out across the lake. Then just 15 minutes walk away was Lake Winderemere and the town of Bowness with lots of choice of restaurants, bars and shops. We hardly used the car as once you walked to Bowness everything you needed was there including access to all the boats to neighbouring towns, villages and attractions. Cathy was really helpful and sent us clear directions, as well as restaurant recommendations for my partners birthday. The boathouse was immaculately clean, with everything we needed.

Peaceful and relaxing

Great place for a couple to have a relaxing holiday by the lake.

Lovely comfortable, clean and well thought out apartment. The kitchen has everything you need and was very clean. Very good range of kitchen equipment, cutlery, and had the little things that sometimes are forgotten about, such as salt, pepper, foil, etc. The chocolates and milk in the fridge were unexpected welcome extras. The balcony has a great view of the marina entrance and a lovely place to sit watching the boats go by, with the chance of spotting the local kingfisher, cormorant and ducks.

Noises from the neighbouring properties are easily heard through the walls, but that is a minor issue.

Great place generally but could but not the comfiest

The view out of floor to ceiling windows takes your breath away. Had absolutely everything you need, nice and modern, spotlessly clean too. Really good for spotting wildlife. we saw a variety of ducks, lots of different, birds including cormorants diving for food outside the balcony. we were lucky enough to see the kingfisher and also got a few glimpses of the otter

I am a big guy and the couches were not very comfortable at all. As the weather was bad (storms Dudley and Eunice) we stayed in a few nights and just couldn’t get comfortable. Found it hard to sit on the toilet as it was very cramp too. I feel some of the space in the massive living area/kitchen could have been rethought when designed and added to bedroom and bathroom? Just a thought 💭

Amazing location and property! Absolutely loved it! Lovely touches from the host with chocolates and milk in the fridge. Great communication with the host. Perfect break away to relax.

Fantastic place to stay near Bowness-on-Windermere

I'm reluctant to review this property as I would prefer no one else knew about it! This place was wonderful! We walked through the forests, rented a boat and caught fish, ate in lovely restaurants, sat and watched the boats go by and enjoyed beautiful sunsets (the picture below is your view!) I work for the NHS and this was just the break I needed after this last year. Plus, Cathy the host was really kind and helpful. Felt blessed to have had this experience. Thanks again Cathy!

Great stay.

The property was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Owner leaving chocolates/condiments etc was a lovely touch.

The property was beautiful, however the bed was smaller than we are accustomed to. If it had a King sized bed the apartment would have been 100% perfect.

Facilities in the apartment, clean, bright and airy, fabulous location, helpful friendly hosts. Photos on line dont really do it justice, it is much bigger than we thought too!

Another fab stay

It is very clean. Lovely modern look but cosy. Ideal location with a lovely view. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed. Nice personal touches
