Amazing location, beautiful scenery. We saw several seals and numerous bald eagles. The outdoor kitchen area was fantastic with the outdoor heaters keeping us cozy while grilling and taking in the sights.

The Bears Den is beautiful. Cleanest VRBO I've ever stayed at, spectacular location, wonderful hosts. This is really a perfect place to stay. We were 3 guys looking for a relaxing place to stay while on a fishing trip and this was it. Comfortable beds excellent views and a great outdoor kitchen are to hang out and have a cocktail. I highly recommend this place if you're staying in Kenai.

This beautiful property right on the Kenai River was perfect! The property was gorgeous, Kathy, our hostess, was as nice as can be and made sure everything was perfect for our arrival. The place was neat as a pin, super comfy and had everything we needed for the perfect stay! We loved sitting by the fire while eagles soared over head. Loved!!

It's our second time this summer. Probably the best place to stay at Soldotna. Just a perfect cabin on the river. Many eagles on the river. Even saw three Moose last night.

Lovely property, I just wished I had inquired more before booking about rules regarding dock use/fishing. Nice place, it is a downstairs unit so there are people above you at times. Kathy was very helpful when we had questions regarding fishing charters and even brought toilet paper over almost instantly when we ran out and texted her. Great stay

This property was right in the middle of Kenai and Soldotna. Beach was 10-15 minute drive. Perfect for a family of 5. Kids liked viewing the wildlife along the river which was only a few steps from the rental.

The accommodations really exceeded our expectations. Lodging was super clean, had everything we needed. Views of the river provided scenes of sea lions, fishermen/women, and low/high tides. Staff was very organized and super friendly, helped us with all our fish cleaning and packaging. Kathleen was very accommodating - even picked up an anniversary cake and had it on the counter when we arrived. 5+ Stars.

We planned a last minute trip to Alaska and we’re going to camp. We rented some gear that turned out was not good in the rain and after 4 nights getting wet decided enough was enough. We were lucky enough to find this place and literally called the day of to book it for three nights. Kathy was accommodating and check in easy.
One thing I didn’t realize was that you cannot fish from the dock there (it never said you could in the description so it was my misunderstanding). I had envisioned a bit of fishing while my kids played a bit but this is not the place for that, however Kathy arranged a trip for my husband and he caught his limit before 7:30am. The setting is beautiful and everything you need is provided. The nightly fire by the river was great. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and you could tell this place is detailed oriented.
I would stay again for sure but I’d try to not get the ground level as my kids are loud and prefer to not have someone above me but it wasn’t dark, not like a basement.
Besides fishing we did a rafting trip and my kids favorite thing was gold panning with prospector John at Coopers landing (go figure but it was actually pretty cool).

Quiet and Perfect Location
This lodge was the perfect location. 1.5 hours from a day of fishing in Homer. 2 hours away from Seward for fishing in Resurrection Bay. Kathy and Evan are the nicest hosts. They have traps going to help control the mosquitos. Had everything cleaned and ready to go. Were gracious enough to let us store our fish and even process our fish onsite (for a small cost). Close to Kenai River locations for bank fishing. Home is in the middle of two towns, Kenai and Soldotna. Both the towns offer grocery and restaurant options. Already looking forward to our stay with them next year.
