Unpleasant surprise on arrival
Unpleasant surprise on arrival
The property was well positioned, good value and met our needs however upon arrival it seems either squatters had been there before us or the property wasn't cleaned. It took about 3 hours to get it resolved and cleaned. We were offered a possible different property but we didn't want that. Unfortunately I felt a bit insecure about someone returning to get their belongings and about the cleanliness. A real shame. I feel sorry for the owners. My hubby and I would go back there but the rest of our family probably wouldn't.

Good location
Good location
Small house in a great location 5 minutes walk to the beach. The property had been inadequately cleaned before we arrived. Bottom bathroom was dirty . Blinds in the bedroom don't stop the light at all. No wine glasses. These things could easily be improved with more care.

The location of this property is excellent - very close to the town centre, parks, the beach The cleanliness of the property left a lot to be desired - dust on most surfaces, floors grimy We knew we had to bring our own linen which was fine however the bottom bedroom had a doona insert on the bed when we arrived but no cover. The insert was thin and yellow with stains. We later found the old cover outside in the bin - no one had bothered to replace it. The front door mat was split and broken, the screen door at the front had no gas in the closing arm so it banged loudly every time it closed. The main front door only opened from the inside when the key was inserted - this is a fire hazard. No toilet roll holders in either bathroom. Just generally unimpressive and things that could be easily fixed with some attention to detail. Wouldn’t stay again

The house was great - location could not be better! Easy walk to the beach, in to town, the playground. Quiet location, fairly spacious, although lacked a little bit of comfortable seating for 8 people. Also, the bed downstairs is a double (not a queen as stated - had double bed protector and quilt) but still comfortable. Cleanliness and maintenance from the real estate however leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of dust, full dishwasher upon arrival (which had also flooded the kitchen), clothes left in washer/dryer, spills on the verandah, garbage bins overflowing (we were told on Monday they would be swapped, never happened by the time we left on Saturday). The house is great and would stay again, however it is very much let down by the managing agent and would make us think twice about staying again.

Fantastic location
Fantastic location
Fantastic location, perfect for a family, a two minute walk into town and along the walkway to the beach. The house has everything you need for a longer stay, comfortable and big enough to feel roomy and not crowded when you are all together inside on a rainy day. We loved our stay at Seas the Day and would definitely book again
