Lovely character about the place, made to feel very welcome on arrival and during my stay. Breakfast was amazing even at 715am !!! Room was very clean, slept so well even though I had to take a leap up onto the high bed.

An old traditional property with extremely friendly staff, as soon as we met the owner he gave my little boy William drinks and snacks for the event we were attending

The location to Villa Park was amazing as we were there for an away game, only 7 minuets walk!
The staff could not do enough for us and the rooms were well appointed and exceptionally clean.

Lovely rooms clean comfortable good location for our trip to Villa Park
Busy on match days
Some Staff were a bit off hand but it was busy so we understood

The bedrooms were comfortable and "quirky", very clean and with a good shower.
The staff were very friendly and breakfast was great too.
Would use again for business and for watching Aston Villa!
The location is good for certain activities but it's very close to the road and I expect would be quite noisy during other times of the week.....we stayed on a Saturday night.
4.3
Fantastic location for Villa Park especially since parking is included. Breakfast was huge and staff were very friendly.

Good location for the train into Birmingham.
Secure car park.
The owners and staff were fantastic. Nothing too much trouble.

Shower
Bed was too small for double .
My legs was sticking out of bed because the bed was small

Friendly, helpful staff. we arrived two hours early and they welcomed us to wait in the lounge/bar/snug which was decorated beautifully. Victorian with a modern twist. We were offered complimentary tea and coffee. They went out of there way to prepare our room early. Room spectacular and to a high standard. Quality bedding and towels. Breakfast spot on served on red hot plates served with obliging staff to make your stay feel really special. Will most definitely be staying again and for longer.

Posh hotel in a pub, looks luxurious.
We were placed in a room in front of A38, it would have been bearable, however our room was directly under kitchen with all the freezers and fridges constantly humming. The sound was so bad it felt like a big sterio left in our room, even our floor and bes shaked. We also got headaches due to sound vibrations. When we complained, staff got really mad at us, one of the guys told to put the telly on so it would absorb the noise. We asked for a refund, got denied, so vacated the premises at 1am as it was impossible to sleep.

Lovely victorian building! Was very clean and everything worked well in the room. Breakfast catered to all with a lot of options and for vegetarians which we really appreciated. Staff were so amazing all of them!✨

gorgeous decor - friendly staff.
we had hoped to have afternoon tea and were told it was served through till 6 but when we asked at 5 we were told not possible as no staff in kitchen at that time.
4.3
pleasant if small room, good towels and bathroom toiletries. plenty of tea and coffee in the room. good choice for breakfast
no room to get round the bed unless very slim! location was poor, although convenient for the Alexander stadium it is next to a noisy flyover and traffic noise was a pain.

Breakfast was very good.
Excellent and attentive staff.

Nice decor
It’s a pub with very nice rooms but there was no draft beer available at lunchtime as “the coolers were off “.
No salad at lunchtime either. The room was very nicely decorated but quite small .
Breakfast was nice but no menu available and when I asked what was available I was told it was Full English. Tea was served in a hot water urn . Hotel looks like a nice boutique hotel but the food and service is more like a cheap B&B.
It’s in a poor position in the middle of an industrial estate. It could be really lovely but it needs a bit more classy service

We had a great time and the place is very nice, clean and welcoming.
The owner Paul and Michelle are very nice people and you get even more then you would expect.
I hope we get the chance to comeback at some point!
