Perfect stay in Valença

The cleanliness was outstanding! The room was very cosy and had everything I needed. I had a great night sleep. The location couldn't have been any better as well. It was absolutely perfect for the beginning of my Camino. I would recommend 1000% and would definitely go back when I have a chance! :)

Es un bonito hotel, tiene todo lo básico, bien mantenido. Es todo con claves no ves a nadie.

A mí me gusta interactuar con personas, tal vez de día alguien yde noche en automático, no sé.Esta bueno pero solitario.

Mooie locatie

Super hygenisch en fijne instructies vooraf aan de incheck. Aan de camino en super mooie ligging in het vestingstadje. Dichtbij leuke restaurants en wat winkeltjes. De kamer was erg klein en maar 1 klein dakraam maar dat was goed van te voren gecommuniceerd voordat we boekte. Weinig gehoord van andere gasten qua geluid.

De wc liep vaak door dus moesten we nog een keer doortrekken. Erg vochtig op de kamer en doordat je geen raam open kan doen ook niks aan te doen.

For pilgrims looking for a break from albergues, look no more!

I’ve stayed at a lot of properties on my camino journey and this one wins. Outside, in August, it is hot, there are throngs of tourists, tired, screaming children, etc, and you enter your room and it’s as quiet as a museum. Completely soundproof. AC is WONDERFUL. Bed super comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Shower nice and hot. Very clean. Coffee available. And outside, although I complained a bit, it is right in the heart of Fortaleza de Valença, so you have the history and the beautiful views across the river to Spain, not to mention tons of restaurants and shopping opportunities.

The room was very clean and comfortable.

It’s a bit impersonal as there is no reception. The beds were a bit hard.

Quick and clean place to stay.

Easy self check-in. Very secure. Instructions sent from Claudia were very easy to understand and she answered all our questions.

the property was situated in the beautiful old town within the walls close to bars and restaurants and very close to the Camino trail. the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was good. There was a general kitchen area with seating and good facilities.

this is a brand new, very well decorated modern facility. superb!!

the owner is a fantastic woman. clever, kind and accommodating

unfortunately we were faced with an inflexible vjeaning lady which would not give us 5 minutes past the 12 o’clock check out. So unfortunate for us and the owner have to deal with untrained help

decent, overall for a stop before the final push of the Camino.

location is as central, not that there’s much to do in the fort or anything open but shops everywhere, food, souvenirs, the pilgrim stamp.

no ventilation in the bathroom, no shower door to fully close, skylight but unable to open unless you climbed up something I couldn’t find. inflexible with checkout time but seemed very empty..

Superb

Remote check in was easy and pilgrim stamp available. Central location inside the fortress with no great view but quiet and close to the camino. Clean and comfortable beds, great water pressure and wifi and shared lounge and kitchenette area to make hot drinks.

Never met any host as noone ever in Reception so no personal service but still easy efficient check in and out via booking msgs. Tea bags and coffee pods in kitchenette not refilled so none left the next morning.
