I liked Hotel Val Flores. During my Camino Portugues it gave a perfect stay. The location of the hotel is best possible
8.0 / 10.0
Good cheap stay on Camino and very close to old town.
We stayed after football league win so was noisy, but not their fault but is on main road and no AC.

location was good, around the corner from the train station, and the walled old city was just up the hill.

Clean and comfortable, breakfast option was good.
I found the noise from adjacent rooms a little intrusive, but this is a minor issue.

Pleasant Receptionist. Good location close to one of the fortress entrances and easy to find from the station.
Breakfast (at extra cost) was not available and had not been offered for some time due to Covid - so please amend the information in the description on Booking.com.

The location
There was a smell of cigarettes the moment you entered the room. No aircondition, no fan, no shampoo, no wifi-information, the room was pointing towards the trafic and you could constantly hear people at the hallway and the neighbours using the water in the bathrooms. No privacy at all! How did this Hotel ever get so good rates?!!

The location is excellent whether walking the Camino de Santiago, walking or biking on the Rio Minho ecopista, visiting the Fortaleza de Valenca, or walking across the international bridge to visit the medieval town of Tui, Spain. The staff members speak English and are friendly and welcoming. They made suggestions of places to visit in nearby towns that made my 3-night visit very interesting - even looking up train and bus schedules for me. It's very convenient to the train and bus stations. Restaurants and supermarkets are nearby. I'll stay here on my next visit to Valenca!

Price and location for a pilgrimage to Santiago

Location is fantastic
Maybe a little bit noisy at night if you let windows wide open

The price, location, comfy bed and the BATH!!! After a long day on the Camino de Santiago, the bath was an absolute delight. Menu del dia in next doors Cristina's was amazing!!
It is quite noisy, even quite a bit of sound came from the next door appartment through the wall. If they don't have a party, it is alright.
