Beautiful views. Clean throughout. Lacking a few things: no soap (had to self supply), lamp not functioning by bedside, but all in all a good experience. Hot tub a nice touch. Well located. Had to detour around a few closed road related to the floods but for most part could get around without much difficulty. Brenda was friendly and available to answer questions.

The house is exactly as advertised. Clean, great views, and plenty of space. Beds were comfortable and it was stocked with everything we needed. Convenient location to town and a quiet neighborhood.

The home is exactly as pictured. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings were nice. They provided everything we needed, including shampoo/conditioner, trash bags, paper towels, hand and dish soaps, and laundry detergent, which is rare for VRBOs. Loved this! We had a slight issue getting access to the house but the property manager responded and reset the locks within 3 minutes of calling her. The hot tub takes a while to heat but once it’s hot it’s wonderful- so plan ahead. Literally my ONLY complaint was that there was no plastic ware for my kids. My three year old had to use glass cups to drink which was a little unnerving but we made it work. If we come back to Ruidoso, we won’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had six people in our group- all adults.
Having 4 Bedrooms was nice with king size beds. A little disappointed that we didn’t see any wildlife. But had a nice view. The house is being remodeled -And any issues that came up was resolved quickly by management.

Wonderful!!
My family and I stayed at Moondance for a long ski weekend. The house was perfect for 10 people. We were just a few miles from Ski Apache and super close to downtown. We loved the gorgeous view from the deck, and everyone enjoyed the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. The property was clean and well maintained, and the whole experience working with the property manager was excellent. We would definitely stay here again! We loved every second!! I highly recommend this property!

Relaxing at its finest
It was a treat to be able to talk with the New owners of this home. It had just been updated and was exactly what we needed while we took a weekend away from home. The home was spacious enough for all of us and each couple had their own bathroom. We received any pertinent information from the new owners and they were a delight to talk to and communicate with. the hot tub was perfect and even when the snow flurries came it was amazing. The view was one that we thoroughly enjoyed. It was very close to the grocery store and downtown shopping which we appreciated. We will be coming back and using this home as it met all of our needs and was exactly what we needed.
Thanks!

Winter stay for son's 21st birthday
Stayed here for my son's 21st birthday. We were close to the casino and family was together. The kids enjoyed the hot tub! We grilled burgers and steaks on the grill and made breakfast in the kitchen so we saved a lot on food! The only problem was getting ahold of the property manager. A couple weeks before our stay, I called and left a message with the property manager. She called me the next morning and I was literally dripping wet from getting out of the shower. I asked if I could call her right back and her response was, "Well I'm busy too!" So I had to gather my questions as I'm dripping wet. I asked all the questions that I could think of. A few days before our stay, I called her again because I had more questions. She never called back. I had questions because I have never stayed in a furnished cabin before. We ended up taking more than what we needed "just in case". Lastly, there was issue with her and parking. Didn't find out until after I booked and received info 30 days before stay that the terms are only two vehicles allowed in the driveway. When I asked if there could be an exception, she told me no because there wasn't enough room. We decided to figure it out when we got there. We ended up with 4 vehicles with PLENTY of room and we didn't impede any of the streets, roads, or neighbor driveway. Other than that, the property was clean. Noticed a little rip on one of the leather sofa. One of the closet doors was broken. Other than that, we had a great time! I also thought I read that there was a tv in each of the bedrooms. There was one bedroom that didn't have a tv, but that was still okay. On the plus side, the deck area was awesome and we saw deer very close to us! The family had a great time!

My family and I had a wonderful Christmas at this cabin . The views are beautiful and there was plenty of room for us all. Home was well stocked with necessities and very clean . We will rent again in the future .

Loved the hot tub!
The cabin was clean and lots of room! The back deck was large and view was awesome. We really enjoyed the hot tub! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the cabin was a little dated. Kitchen items could have been stocked better. There were 4 of us and we are wine drinkers. Only one wine glass. Other than that it was great.

Great vacay getaway
We had a splendid time in Ruidoso considering the virus outbreak. The home was well accommodating and had everything we needed. The only concern was the door to get in. We were having difficulty with locking it. Had to hold it just right but that is definitely minor. The hot tub kept my kids entertained. Overall it was well worth it!

Should have been cleaner /Worst hot tub care ever!
Broken glass, cut finger getting out of cabinet. Bloody mattress pad in down stairs room, didn't notice until removing sheets when leaving, Living room covered in heavy dust/dirt on couches, tables, floor. 2 pans in cabinet filthy, thick layer of food dried on, also some silverware. Hot tub clouded up and became musty smelling after second day. No chlorine in container, chlorine container thick layer of gunk. Got locked out of downstairs room (They did respond quickly) For as much as you pay, house was cleaner when we left it!!!

Great Family Vacation VRBO!
My Family and I decided to visit Ruidoso and being that there are 7 of us, we needed room! This VRBO exceeded expectations and I’d definitely use this exact one in the future!
For those future guests thinking if this one is right for you: The property was towards the very top of the switchbacks which led to a clear view of Ski Apache peaks. It takes about 4 minutes to get to the VRBO from the main road.
SKIING: It was about 15min drive to the base entrance of the pass to get to the ski Apache.
The local grocery store (Albertsons) was about 4minutes drive along with a nice variety of places to eat.
The house itself was very well equipped (TV’s, Cable, Hot Tub, Plenty of HOT water for 7 people!). Everything was clean and well maintained. The Kids absolutely loved it and the Washer/Dryer made things easy the day before leaving. The house rules were very simple and not like a lot of others I’ve stayed in before. There is a “hidden” secluded room downstairs (back patio entrance) for those family members that want to be more alone and it has it’s own full bathroom & TV. The onsite propane grill was available to use although we didn’t get a chance to use it. There were plenty of blankets, pillows and fans to keep everyone comfortable and the gas fire place was a nice touch. We also appreciated the spices available to use when cooking!
On the main level, there are three actual bedrooms with two on one end of the home (those share a bathroom) and the other more by itself with it’s own bathroom just outside the door to that bedroom. And the hidden I mentioned earlier is even more isolated as it is downstairs with a back patio entrance and has it’s own bathroom in the room (no need to leave the room for that one).
I know I spent a lot of time on the layout but if you have a mixed age group of people, this might be good info so that you can plan for who would benefit most from staying in what rooms.

Perfect for large families!
Cabin was great but some minor fixes are needed. The food first: huge, clean, awesome jacuzzi, beautiful views, had games for the kids, nonstick pans.
Things that need to be updated: bathroom closest to dining room, the floor by toilet is rotted. You can feel the floor give when you step and see the mildew. Balcony railing broken. Very dangerous for kids.
Important info to know when staying: the hill is steep! You need chains and four wheel drive to get up in the snow and ice. Otherwise you will be stuck at the bottom. * unlike other cabins we stayed at here this one didn’t have any basic items you usually see like Tin foil, sugar, etc. Make sure to bring all that with you. They only have cooking ware. We definitely will stay here again!

House is clean and well equipped.
Couple of things need updating. The mattresses are old and need to be replaced. Downstairs blinds need replaced (broken). Beyond that, the hot tub was terrific and the back deck is wonderful for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We had a big group, but everyone was able to spread out. Overall nice rental for the price.

Great location, beautiful views, a little overpriced, needs minor maintenance.
We really enjoyed our stay although there were 'several' minor maintenance items that distracted from our overall enjoyment of the property.
Owners need to spend a little money & time to repair the minor deficiencies. Bathroom door not engaging door jamb to insure privacy and other bathroom door needs to be trimmed so doesn't bind when closing so doesn't wake up sleeping people when closing during the night. Main entry door glass door latch screws not tightening, door knobs loose. We didn't use the hot tub at all but the cover condition is what you notice first.

Had a great time
The only issue we had was the password for the WiFi did not work other than that it was a fun and relaxing weekend
