The hostel is really clean and comfy, the onsen so beautiful and relaxing. It's just 15 mins walk from the ropeway which is convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Front desk staff is awesome, onsen is open until late and just perfect timing for a backcountry lodge. living and dining spaces are huge and comfortable, with a little area with hammocks which is a nice spot for a stretch before and after snowboarding.

It is conveniently located near Mt Asahidake ropeway, about 15 mins walk away. A quiet comfortable and cozy hostel with a well equipped kitchen. There is no eatery nearby but you can buy your own groceries and cook your food there. The onsen was malfunctioning when I was there but I was given onsen vouchers to another hotel nearby which was really nice. Breakfast (two slices of bread with jam/coffee/tea) was also provided. Staff were also friendly and nice.
Nothing! Even though there is no shower facility in my room, I think it is meant for you to shower at the onsen area. Pure bliss of soaking in the onsen every day.

Amazing Location- You get a view of Mount Asahidake from your room. Also, the road leading to the property is beautiful with many animals. We saw deer crossing and multiple Japanese Raccoon dogs on our way to and fro.
Helpful staff- we left our water bottle at the hotel. They sent it through Yamato to our next hotel.
Spacious room and kitchen and condiments are provided.
They also provide two huge slices of bread with jam every day. Value for money. Highly recommended for a budget stay in the area.
The bathroom was a bit too small. Since, the concept is of a hostel, it works fine but it was a little too compact for us.

Lounge area, friendly staff
Room (bed and furniture) was dated. No restaurants nearby. Far from Asahidake ropeway station.

Cozy hostel. Staff was very friendly and thorough when running through the check-in process. Awesome for the early morning trip up to Asahidake.
Unfortunately the natural onsen was closed due to weather, but that was out of the hostels control.

You can't beat the location of this hotel, inside the park and a 1 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the ropeway. Its also amazing value. Its pristinely clean and has a great kitchen facility. Rooms are very basic but very comfy and spacious. A lot of thought has been put into the organization of the hostel to ensure a smooth flow of things for guests (cooking, how to set up your beds, etc.). Lovely onsen with rotenburo. Big win.
Staff were helpful when present but seemingly overworked and not around in the mornings or early afternoons. There is a free coffee service that says asks staff for help but we could find no staff around in the morning when it was offered. There's a store open in the daytime but no one was around to pay for the items. Rooms also had no glasses or kettles or a tea service box like most Japanese rooms, so anything and everything, even a cup for water, required a trip to the first floor kitchen. Also amazing stars outside the hostel at night but no outdoor seating area I could see, would be awesome to have one.

The Onsen area is really nice. The beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and the common area is very good with kitchen and lots of places to sit and relax.
It's about 15-20 minutes walk to the ropeway, which was no problem for us, but there are definitely hotels which are closer.
4.3
Reasonably priced with hot springs. Close to Asahidake ropeway. Although we were on a no-meal plan, we were able to buy easy-to-cook food from the shop for dinner, and two pieces of toast and coffee/tea were freely provided for each of us for breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Regarding services related to food, we would have liked to see more detailed descriptions, as they are great for travellers who want to spend less money. There is no staff late at night and early in the morning (but this is only reasonable considering the price).

Everything perfectly organised, kitchen for guests, big lounge, nice manager speaking English, onsen which was open overnight and more pleasant details.
Only the rainy weather ...

Allowed me to book on the day, staff were cool 😎 spoke good English and had good attitudes. Great communal space and comfortable beds. Amazing Onsen with outdoor area which was fantastic and I liked how it was kept open late. Kitchen clean and well equipped. Free parking was a nice bonus. Would certainly stay here again.
Only downside was having to go all the way downstairs to use the toilet at night

great hospitality and the communal kitchen is great for long stay

this ‘hostel’ massively exceeded my expectations . The shared common area is much more like something you would find in a decent hotel! Fantastic kitchen facilities (but make sure you bring your own food as no shops in the National Park) . The outside onsen is one of the nicest I have used in Japan. The location is stunning , nestled in nature . The visitors centre is a 15 min walk up the road and hires snow shoes and cross country skis for a really good price (500 yen a day!) . Our bedroom was warm and comfortable with a private toilet

Phenomenal onsen!! The only public restaurant in the area is the canteen at the ropeway, so make sure to bring groceries. The small store at the hostel is great and reasonably priced though. Great area, would definitely come back. WiFi was good too.

K’s House staff were outstanding. Extremely friendly and helpful with giving advice on the local area. Kitchen facilities are very large and well stocked. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
