Schönes, geräumiges Zimmer, tolles Abendbuffet. Wow !

The best onsen resort i have ever been. Highly recommended!

Size and available of the onsens provided a great rotenburo authentic with 3 outfits (sleep suit, room wear & kimono) available per guests to wear to meals. The outdoor public foot bath and river in front of the hotel is nice but under utilized, maybe consider some kind of collobaration with other local businesses to bring more activity options. A small refrigerator in the room is useful to store cold drinks.
Spa service menu looked like a good value but front desk explained there's no staff to provide them. Front desk also explained that the weather was cloudy so we were unable to book for the star observation. The bathroom was very small and dimly lit.

Onsen is great. Buffet is 7/10. However just like other reviews said there is no other spot to visit around the hotel. If you have plenty of time on you traveling plans then I’ll recommend this hotel. But if you plan to visit many places then go find other hotel. Cause the location is literally nothing.
Window seal is nasty

The staff were kind and very hard working (many were doing multiple jobs around the hotel, which I assume is due to the lack of workforce). The onsen was great and probably one of the best I have seen. The food was overall good (particularly the dinner buffet). The library was a nice touch for lovers of music and sports.
The location is quite inconvenient (only an infrequent bus to JR Datamombetsu and no hotel support at all on securing transport to the closest JR station). Taxis are very pricy and nearly impossible to secure (you have to pay them to come to the location). All in all do not come here unless you have a car or plan to take the hotel shuttle to Sapporo or New Chitose airport. Also, it was mid June and getting hot in the upper floors but the Hotel still refused to turn on air conditioning. we had to sleep with open windows, but the staff kindly provided a couple of fans.

the onsen was spectacular and the secret garden. it was so discreet I didn’t see it the first time.
The staff were accommodating and they speak English which was a breeze!
we booked for w nights so they gave us a complimentary pass to use the neighboring onsen, which we weren’t able to try.
The food was really nice and they had plenty of options.
nothing

Our family love this hotel since we found it on booking.com Website. We must visit here whenever we are here in Hokkaido. In the December Christmas holiday of 2019, I left my daughter’s Disney piglet headband in the hotel room we stayed in. Unfortunately, the pandemic restricted us to go back to this hotel for 3 years. We were really happy to be back here in Japan when it reopened the boarders near the end of 2022. When we arrived back at this hotel again, we asked the front desk receptionist if they still had kept our headband, and surprisingly they had kept it in a plastic bag in a box. We finally got the headband back after 3 years. When we go back to Hokkaido, we will definitely always book some nights for this hotel! Thank you for your warming service.

The onsen is probably one of the best that I’ve experienced in Japan!
The location was somewhat remote.

AMAZING AMAZING BATH
rooms a bit old

The hot spring was absolutely beautiful. The dichotomy from the abundant snowfall and the perfectly hot water was truly the experience of a lifetime. The room was massive and clean.
Dinner and breakfast were buffet style meals in the cafeteria. I went into it with high expectations given the room price and expected most dishes to blow me away. Those expectations were not met. I sampled nearly every dish at dinner and of them the only dish I could say was exceptional was the crab soup. It felt like a commercial kitchen where love AND SEASONING were missing from each dish. With a bit more seasoning maybe I wouldn't have cared enough to write this out, but the roast beef in particular was bland.

the rooms were very spacious and elegantly arranged in Japanese style. the most exciting feature is the open air hot spring area- huge and with many fancy aromas baths! a a real joy to try them all in the snow!
the location doesn’t offer much opportunities for walks or excursions in the winter

it has the best onsen I japan great many different bathtubs wow very innovative

Stunning onsen and nice environment
Room photos a little misleading, not quite as nice as the photos show but very comfortable. Bathrooms need renovating
4.3
The breakfast and dinner buffet were pretty good.
Do not book here without a car, there is nothing close by and there is no taxis around. There is a bus that comes by frequently, but doesn’t go to the attractions.
The next part I had a problem with was mostly my fault, being American, I am not into the Onsen thing. The beautiful pictures of this resort are in the onsen. Therefore you can only go into this area naked with only other guests of your same sex. Of course there are no phones or cameras allowed in this area to take pictures of the beautiful pools. I was also not comfortable wearing the traditional Japanese clothes they provide that are to be worn during your stay, to breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The sound proofing is terrible, very noisy from the hallway and upstairs rooms.
This is the second time in recent months that I have done my research, read the reviews and looked at the pictures on Booking.com and have chosen a resort that I wasn’t comfortable with. In both cases I changed resorts and forfeited my money for the remaining nights. To me, I would rather pay more money than stay somewhere that I am not comfortable or happy at.
4.3
The onsen experience was amazing. Buffet food and range was excellent.
Some things could be cleaner. Would be nice to have the descriptions of the different tubs in English but understand this is a traditional Japanese hotel.
4.3
The biggest outdoor hot spring in Japan. Yummy food for buffet style.
Small size toilet
