Tiny, attic room that wasn’t value for money.

It was clean

It was tiny, the towels smelt funny. It advertised free car parking but there were 2 parking places and at least 7 rooms. It said tea and coffee machine and a kettle, it had only a kettle. It said there was a desk, there wasn’t , there was a low coffee table and a chair I couldn’t sit up styraight in as the ceiling sloped. It was billed as a delux double but there was nothing delux about it, it was a tiny, attic room at the top of 3 flights of stairs with no help carrying cases.

Sehr sympathisch!

Kathryn und ihr Mann sind super sympathisch, immer für ein nettes Gespräch zu haben und sehr hilfsbereit! An meinem ersten Tag wurde mir direkt der beste Weg zum Flughafen empfohlen und es hat funktioniert. Ich bin stressfrei dort angekommen. Es wird auch hier auf booking sehr schnell geantwortet, wenn es ein Anliegen gibt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, neu und sauber! Es hat sich ein bisschen wie Zuhause angefühlt. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Gerne wieder!

Es war schön eingerichtet und wir hatten was wir bräuchten. Die Inhaberin war sehr nett!

Man kann zum Botanical Garten zu Fuß schnell erreichen. Allerdings bis zum Altstadt braucht man länger. Wer gerne späteren geht ist dann eine gute Option. Sonst der Bus nehmen

Cute room, would be improved by some soundproofing

The room was adorable, the staff were so friendly, the breakfast was great

Unfortunately, noise was an issue. I could hear other guests in their tub, talking, and slamming doors until quite late

Superb

Very friendly and helpful, good location and we were lucky enough to park off road.

Not so keen on breakfast in our room, although choice was good....recommended the Butteries 🙂 No soft lighting in room.

It’s in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, the room and bathroom were very clean with no odd smells. The hosts are very kind and made me feel warm and welcomed. You get the complete English breakfast and trust me, you’ll struggle to finish it up. I never needed any meal after till late evenings. I’ll definitely stay there next time I’m in Edinburgh. highly recommend

A comfortable stay and friendly owners.

Lovely staff who greeted us on arrival We were offered fresh milk on arrival for a cup of tea Shortbread in room complimentary Clean and comfortable We got a park in the front of the property though if we weren’t lucky enough to get that, parking may have been more difficult in the narrow street Functional bathroom Attic room - we could open the attic window for fresh air plus it had a good blockout blind on it Good information folder in room The owners are on premises overnight

A fridge in room would’ve been handy Bathroom was small - but as mentioned above very functional Mattress was hard but this is personal preference and I did read in the info that a mattress topper is available Could hear snoring and talking in room next door - this didn’t wake me up, I was already awake - so if you are a good sleeper, it probably wouldn’t bother you

Great Experience

Friendly, helpful owners. Location near Botanic Gardens and nice places to eat. Quiet street. Served breakfast in the room as standard, so breakfast was much more relaxed. Were willing to help and understanding of my circumstances when I had to make an out-of-the-ordinary request. Kindness much appreciated.

Outstanding Hosts

Hosts were absolutely fantastic. Room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding and was brought to our room spot on time agreed. The breakfast was high quality and cooked to perfection. High quality coffee and tea available in the room with shortbreads in a jar which was delicious. Toiletries were lovely also. I highly recommend tbe Falcon Crest Guest House to others. I will definately return. Thank you for our stay.

Super welcoming, perfectly clean and a good location!

Kathryn was really friendly and accommodating, which made our stay extra special. The room was bright and clean with a comfy bed. The hotel is in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood and is really close to the Royal Botanic Gardens - one of the highlights of our trip.

Fun, comfortable, clean, good location, lovely hosts

Great location- 10/15 minute bus journey from Edinburgh central, and a lovely location with a pub only a few minutes away. The room was very clean, comfortable and modern. The hosts are amazing, could not have asked for better, super friendly and helpful with anything you may need as a guest there. Lovely family run B&B!

Just Perfect.

Amazing hosts, fabulous breakfast, loved the eco-friendly-ness. Fantastic location, close enough to Edinburgh centre for shopping/entertainment but far enough to be lovely and quiet overnight. Could not rate this guesthouse and it's host highly enough and we are so sad to be leaving so soon.

No lamps in bedroom. Limited storage space, no lift, poor shower and verysmall bathroom, uncomfortable bed. Noisy guests. Too far from city center.

Nice room

Very clean and modern. Has a nice walking path nearby which is excellent for walking the dog or for a jog. Owner is very friendly.

Room was quite small and crowded and no large towels provided.

Cozy guest house in a quiet area

The house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood which allows a good night sleep. The room was clean and with all the necessary equipment. Hairdryer was provided upon my request for the whole length of my stay. It was great value for money as it was <80€/night for a single room. Kettle with some tea bags, shortbreads and milk was a nice addition to get a warm cuppa before sleep. Thanks to lovely hosts for this wonderful experience!

We had a great time at Falcon Crest Guest House.

The location is nuce. The house is beautiful and the owners are really lovely and ready to help. City center is about 30 min walking. Or about 15 min by bus which is very close to the property.

The bathroom door from room 4 was a little unusual for us. I saw other rooms have different doors so it depends what you will get.

lovely, clean and dog friendly. just perfect!

The careful attention to detail from the owners made this a pretty much perfect guest house. Absolutely clean bed and bathroom. Situated on a beautiful residential neighbourhood; take just 10 minutes drive to old town and sea side. And it’s DOG FRIENDLY… our German Shepherd was veeeeeery happy too :)
