Clean and modern and well stocked.
Needs a non slip mat in lounge area as we didn't think to bring footwear for relaxing and floor was cold on socked feet. Had to wear our outdoor footwear.

if I had to pick a niggle I would say it’s time for a new mattress, 😞

Location, comfy, warm
could have been cleaner, dusting could have been done better, probably a 20 min job but was ok

The town is lovely, we met locals who invited us to the local club for New Year. The walks and steam train were a bonus.
Unfortunately the place was extremely small for us. Which isnt an issue for complaint. It does need a good clean and the furniture could be updated. One of the cupboard doors in the kitchen was falling off and the blinds in the bathroom broken. The cupboard housing the bin was dirty I guess from previous guests and the bathroom needs a good scrub especially window sill and shower. We left a day early as far too small and the cleanliness issues.
I would also suggest a book containing the very comprehensive details in the email, again my preference.

Quaint cottage in the centre of Sheringham. We love Sheringham
Mould in the kitchen cupboards and all around the front door.
The cottage smells of wet dog
The bathroom had lots of mould ...I took pictures of all of it and unfortunately there isn't the facility to add all the pictures to show the extent of the mould.
Disappointing stay. It wasn't the cosy cottage experience we were after. We wished we'd have booked into the hotel for our stay.
The owner wasn't available the night of our arrival despite his alleged desire to ' aid our arrival and stay '. He'd given us the wrong access code to the cottage. Tried several times to ring the owner, left a message and e mailed. No reply/response. Eventually gained access after communication with Booking.com staff. I did e mail the owner to let him know what had happened but still no reply/response and definitely no apology. Clearly not bothered.
Definitely won't stop there again and I wouldn't recommend it either.

Spotlessly clean, traditional wee fisherman's cottage. Everything we needed and more, cosy , loved the Christmas tree, comfy bed and brilliant location.
Thanks very much and look forward to returning.

In terms of Sherringham the location was OK, but Station Road (the main street very busy) The real highlight of the place is the North Norfolk Railway. The staff and volunteers are lovely, and very welcoming. A credit to preserved railways, the carriages are clean, freshly painted and varnished inside, the exteriors of their rolling stock also excellent, we were really impressed. Knowlegable and enthusiastic a must to visit, a credit to the town!
We found it very small and too compact. The original building was never a part of a row of cottages, but fisherman's stores a place for nets and fishing gear, consequently it is about 3M deep and 4M long, phone cameras are very misleading! The stairs are not for anyone who has mobility problems. The adjacent fresh fish shop has chillers and a smoker 4M from the cottage, the chillers run all night and the smoker starts at about 7.00am the chimney is level with the bedroom window, the wind was not in our favour and we got smoked (the kippers from the shop are excellent!) We got off to a bad start it took 20mins to open the lock box, its hanging off the wall inconveniently located by the garbage bins, if you line ups the numbers on the tumbler correctly it does not open, if you move the first one up or down a bit almost on the next number it eventually opened. Why not fit a push button lockbox!! Disliked have to pay for electricity seperately! On the first night we found a parking space, on the Friday night there were none in the mentioned streets. The council car parks are £8.50 for 24 hours and the tickets are transferable between carparks.

nothing, was great for what we wanted

Homeowners were thoughtful and helpful before we even got to the property and made sure we had all the information we needed, which was welcoming too. Homely and cosy feel, small but for two of us it was perfect. All the equipment you need, no cooker but everything else is there to make own food. Brilliant location, right in the town centre, near to gift shops, ice cream, Sainsbury's local, a large Tesco, The Little Theatre, restaurants and takeaways & of course near to the sea front too. Also easy to access other nearby attractions and places by car although cottage is very close to train station too. Great smart TV, which had all the channels and options you could need. Also had good WiFi. A lovely little cottage, thoughtful owners and great stay, thank you.
Parking in nearby streets was inconvenient when unloading & loading, having to walk with a number cases & bags etc was heavy going, so we had to do a couple of trips. Noise from fishmongers next door early in the morning, was loud when windows were open due to heatwave. All these things are out of control of the homeowners, and expected when you're in the town centre, so you just have to manage and focus on appreciating the numerous positives of the stay.

great location in town centre and only a short walk from sea front.
comfortable bed
Good response from owner when reported a problem with wifi
Very small especially when you are quite tall. could do with a bit of tic (new kitchen) and a deep clean as it felt a bit grimy.

It's a very nice, cosy little place. It's a perfect location as right next to shops and sea front. The information given by the owner were very useful and we felt he couldn't do much more to help us finding the property, where to park etc... We really enjoyed our stay, although it wasn't our first visit to Sheringham, this one is really good for value. It has pretty much everything you need and a very good electricity, heating hot water system. It is a small place but again, just fine for two people.
There is nothing we didn't like as such. Maybe just things we noticed, but this is a personal view and should only be taken as such. There is a dishwasher and we thought it would be nice to have few dishwasher tablets to use to start with. That's probably because I don't have one at home so I wouldn't buy any. I know this is self catering so you need to bring your own stuff. One other thing, we thought was that providing one small hand towel and two medium ones wasn't enough. Most accommodations we have been to provide two large ones and two smaller ones, which is nicer. These ones we had were lovely and soft but not great for drying as normal plain cotton ones would be. But this is just personal comments. On another note I would suggest to check the shower plug. It's easy to forget this but it needs cleaning regularly. But again, this is just small things we have noticed and thought would help.

Great location- right on the high street and close to the sea. It was smaller than expected but good value for money and has everything we needed. Having a Sainsbury’s local one minute walk away, plus a Costa and lots of other shops was brilliant.
Having Netflix and other online TV was great. . the WiFi was also strong and reliable.
Instructions for getting there and getting in were excellent. All very smooth and professional.
It was in need of a bit of tlc - all a bit faded with chipped paint, crumpled and faded bed linen and too many 1980s motivational posters. It would definitely benefit from a deep clean.
The electric shower was a bit weak and also a bit mouldy.

Loved the location
Dog friendly
Paying extra for electricity when you have already paid for the holiday.
Cleanliness was an issue as all in all it could use some TLC
Loose paving slabs on doorstep - accident waiting to happen
Basic attention to detail - cheap towels with one hand towel and 2 towels that only just wrapped round for 2 adults.
Very steep stairs hard to negotiate (noones fault)

Location v central and convenient.
Dishwasher tablets would be helpful. A squirt of Detol anti mould on shower silicone
