The breakfast was very good and Clare was very friendly and helpful.
The wait to be served for dinner was long.
4.3
The staff were very good and efficient. The landlady was very attentive and made us feel welcome.
The breakfast was one of the best ones we have had, top class, thank you
Our bed was to soft and bouncy, but the rest of the room was perfect.
4.3
Location excellent, staff are very friendly and super helpful, good parking options. Breakfast was delicious - exceeded our expectations - and the service was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff ; good location; super comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. Lovely decor and clean , loved the historical information and pictures.
Stairs a little steep, but it wouldn’t put me off.

The breakfast were among the best I’ve ever had. Like the evening meal the ingredients were outstanding and cooked to perfection. The portion size was big enough for a hearty eater but not off putting.
Nothing it was perfect
4.3
The location, right beside the beach. Evening meal was delicious. Staff very friendly
Water for shower not very hot. Everything else was lovely.
4.3
Very clean, overlooking the sea. A bay window in the bedroom with a table and chairs to sit and watch the world go by
4.3
Very nice room with sea view. Full tea and coffee making facilities and options. Very friendly and efficient staff on arrival and in restaurant where we ate both nights, and good food. Private, separate entry to accommodation as an option. Although no car parking - that's the compromise for being directly on the sea front and in the centre of town - Morris St Car park is just around the corner £8.50/24hrs and had no problems whilst parking there for two nights.
In restaurant, a bit more choice for Starters would be recommended. Low doors (which still caught me out despite plenty of warnings from signs and staff!) and very narrow stairs which would not suit the less mobile - although it is apparently a Listed building, so with character.

Location brilliant right by the beach, room cosy, breakfasts excellent and packed lunch provided in lieu of breakfast one day was marvellous.
4.3
The location is excellent ,the young lady that showed us to our room was very polite and efficient. The room was very spacious and the bed linen was exceptionally clean. The cooked breakfast was delicious.
Whilst we found it easy to park it might be difficult in the summer. The staircase in the pub to the room is very narrow and the outer fire exit staircase might be difficult for people who are not very mobile. The bathroom didn’t match the cleanliness of the room the toilet wasn’t clean bought bleach and left it in whilst we were out and there was a hair on the seat.If we had been staying more than one night we would of mentioned it.Didn’t spoil our stay and would return.

Fabulous location
Quite expensive for the time of year

Fantastic location and was completely satisfied with the room.Breakfast was cooked fresh and more than enough. We used the restaurant on our first night and had an excellent meal. All in all no complaints..
Lack of parking,but being picky!

Breakfast was good
I wanted a sea view and got a side sea view the room wasn’t very clean the shower had pubic hairs in it on arrival I asked if we could have a festive meal that night but was told I should have booked I thought as a guest they might have been a little more helpful with that and the view we were very disappointed

Nice welcome on arrival. Had booked a table for when we arrived (Saturday afternoon). Lovely meal. Nice room with side sea view. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable. Nice selection for tea/coffee.
Had a lovely breakfast, served by Clare who was very nice.
TV in room, no good at all. Aerial was useless, no picture quality at all, therefore unable to use. Could be easily fixed.
4.3
Breakfast well made full English by professional chef served on hot plates. Room was perfect view to sea was good but weather bad when we stayed.
The macerater toilet systems are loud at night.
4.3
Location, right on the sea front.
Very good breakfast
Bathroom could do with a revamp.
4.3
All food served was excellent
The room was quite small and the bathroom needed a little TLC, but it is a very old building.
4.3
Awesome hotel right by the water, in the center of town, close to everything.
Nothing

Very friendly & the breakfast girls were lovely

Location
Rooms were tired , TV worked occasionally, went down a lot , surprised they were using such an old fashioned system ! Shower ( electric) cold ALL the time even after running for a while , so if it had been cold outside you would not want to use !! Did have a notice on bathroom tap saying “ hot water can take up to 5 mins to come through” but never did , so had cold shower and cold water in tap as well , didn’t mention to staff as it was weather hot .

The location of the pub to the beach

The staff were lovely - nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, and again, nothing was too much trouble, making me a bacon sandwich when I asked for bacon and some bread - they said no, we can make it for you, and they did a better job than I would have! And when we left, they remembered we had taken the trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and sent us home with some mini Prosecco to have at home on the actual day, which we plan to do! We enjoyed our sea view, and the bed was very comfortable. The sea front location is great, and we were able to park literally round the corner, which was really handy. Would definitely stay again.

The staff are so lovely and accommodating, beautiful place and position, couldn't of enjoyed a night away more.
4.3
The breakfast was perfect the choice was just right from a full English to something lighter, the staff were helpful and friendly. The location could not be any better you have the sea on the doorstep and the shops a stroll away.
That is our 2nd stay and we were perfectly happy with everything.
4.3
The staff is exceptional, as was the food.
Bumping into the low door opening.
4.3
Bathroom needs decorating very tired

Good location.
Decor a bit tired.

I loved the location. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful
The meals were a little expensive for me but we did eat there twice and the meals were lovely
4.3
The room looked out over the end of the high street so we couls see the sea and listen to folk walking by as we sat in our first floor bay window.
The breakfast was excellent quality and the staff friendly
The room was a bit basic but OK - though the en-suite was functional but a bit 1870s. Very handy for the NN Railway.
4.3
Very good food and friendly and efficient staff.Rooms were clean and comfortable
4.3
Convenient location
Room servicing virtually non-existent.
4.3
Breakfast could start earlier
4.3
The location was very good. The bar area looked comfortable. We cannot comment on the food because we didn’t eat dinner there .
The bedroom and bathroom were adequate, but small . Facilities were basic although there was plenty of hot water and good towels. The breakfast sounded good but didn’t start till 9 am which meant we couldn’t have what we’d paid for because we didn’t have time . We had to leave by 9..30.. Most hotels start breakfast earlier than 9am
