First of all the owners are GOLD!! So kind and their Chalet is divine! So spacious beautiful furniture and you will be surprised by the spice rack😂. I fell in love with this place and will be back!

We have rented properties from north Washington to Mexico, as far west as Hawaii, and as far east as Charleston, and never have we stayed somewhere that was as well-appointed as the River’s Edge Chalet. When the host says that guests would not need anything, she means it! The spice cupboard puts to shame any you’re likely to have seen, and contains basic ingredients for almost anything. I think you can arrive naked and you’d be fine!

We had the most peaceful experience! The kids were free to play and explore and mom got to relax. There was enough space grandma and grandpa could take breaks without feeling like they were missing out and aunt and uncle could spread out with kids! Mom got to nap and relax! Truely the most restful experience!

My family and our friends spent Memorial weekend at River's Edge Chalet, and it was an unforgettable experience! The cabin was incredibly cozy, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped inside. Its location was perfect, nestled in a picturesque spot that provided both tranquility and easy access to nearby attractions.
One of the highlights was the kitchen – the best equipped we have ever encountered in a rental. It had everything we needed and more, making meal preparations a breeze and allowing us to enjoy delicious homemade meals together.
The thoughtful touches and amenities provided made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We highly recommend River's Edge Chalet for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We can't wait to return!

My wife and I were looking for a cabin for her birthday weekend and loved staying here with our friends for the weekend. Pictures don't do the property justice, it is absolutely stunning and packed with everything you need for a fun ski weekend. We hope to come back next year!

We had a fantastic stay at the River’s Edge Chalet! We were welcomed by sweet Christmas decorations and beautiful lights inside and out. It felt like our home away from home for Christmas. The Chalet is roomy and the layout ideal for cooking and conversation around the fire. The backyard views were outstanding and the multi-level deck would be a pleasure most of the year. We hope to return soon!

Whole family enjoyed what the chalet had to offer. Clean and great instructions for getting the maximum enjoyment out of the weekend. Perfect location to be able to ensure we could get there but be close enough to visit Stevens Pass and Leavenworth. Kids loved the game room and adults loved the serenity. Will definitely try to make it back.

The property was beautiful. The house was well equipped in the kitchen to do anything. Perfect for our family of 10. All the added little treats for us. Plus the birds and squirrels were a delight. The kids loved feeding them. The River access was also fun in a quick walk. We had a fire one night and having s’mores was a nice treat for the kids. All in all a fantastic time. Would recommend this house for any family.

This property is amazing! It’s clean, spacious, has a gorgeous view, great communication with the property owners, and it is stocked to the max in every way; spices, condiments, every dish or bowl you could want or need, toys, games, has a fire pit and hot tub. We had a fabulous stay.

This was our second time staying here as we enjoyed it so much the first time. It rained almost the entire time, but there was plenty to entertain us at the chalet. We made s'mores in the fireplace, played with all the toys and games downstairs, made dinner in the very well stocked kitchen, and even enjoyed the hot tub in the rain. We'll definitely be back again!

Location is amazing, easy in out to the slopes. This riverside cabin has a keen sense of nostalgia. Inviting and warm and brought us back to our childhood in the mid 70s which was a great feeling. Plenty of games and adventures for all ages. Recommend!

Had an amazing trip. Chalet was great. Even though part of a community it felt very private and the views from the deck were just incredible. Saw lots of birds including a bald eagle who came to visit for a while. And the morning mist over the river against the mountains and tress was like something out of a painting. Really peaceful. Chalet was spacious and had a great kitchen & pantry. We were three Dads and our resp sons on a "Dads & Grads" weekend away. Boys were 14 - 15 and loved the play room & pool table. Hottub was a hit with all and very private. Overall great trip and Skykomish, while small, was a treat to visit. Everyone we met was super friendly. Thanks to Tom & Linda who were really responsive to all our questions! We're all looking forward to visiting again.

Decided on a last minute get-away before kids returning to college from Winter break. Was hoping for a snowy location but not too far from Seattle. The best part about River’s Edge Chalet is it’s exactly as advertised - and it’s really that good! We all thought it was one of the best locations within Timberlane Village. You can somewhat see neighboring houses but once inside it feels like you’re all alone and since the house sits on the river - the view is incredible. Don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a better stocked short term rental! You receive an inventory list once you book and it’s really helpful to read it - you might not need to pack so much! We played games (that were there), pool table had a lot of use, had plenty of super comfortable beds, built fires in the impressive fireplace, and got great use of the hot tub. The house is a true cabin and still retains a lot of the original “cabiny” charm but has all the modern conveniences. We never turned any of the TVs on - which was perfect. The internet worked great so we could still check in with work. Exactly what I was hoping for and would love to visit again!

We had a wonderful family/friends holiday trip. For starters the cabin was perfectly decorated for Christmas which made our holiday even more magical. The kids loved playing pool downstairs and opening up gifts in front of the lit fireplace. The kitchen was great for prep of meals and they have so many essentials for cooking. We spent a LOT of time in the hot tub and it was so relaxing with the river flowing in the background. This was my second time staying here and I hope to come back again.

The chalet was perfect for our family ski getaway! The house is ideally situated on a creek and plenty of lush trees, beautiful snow covered scenery. It felt warm and inviting, as if the walls had many fond memories. It’s well stocked with kitchen and cooking items PLUS every board game you can imagine. It’s a wonderful place to spend with family and loved ones!

We picked this place because it looked beautiful and remote. It wasn’t as remote as I thought (neighbors are close) BUT it felt like we were the only ppl there plus the foliage helps separate the cabins. I loved it! So don’t be detoured if you feel you want privacy. You will have it! I had just graduated from my Masters program and wanted to relax and not think. It just so happened it was also my birthday. It was an 8hr drive for us and when we arrived there was a sweet note congratulating me and wishing me happy birthday. There was also some welcome gifts for us and my dogs. It was wonderful. Tom and Linda left notes for us and text to made sure we made it okay. The house has everything for the home cook if that’s your thing. AND Tons of little things you are allowed to use during your stay. It is the most amazing place honestly. While we didn’t venture out Tom and Linda offer a notebook and file of things you can do around the area if you would like to do little outings. They also welcome feedback to improve your stay. I had nothing to add because they did an amazing job. We loved the board games and played a new one every night. Lastly, there is also some neat things around the house and yard you will find that are fun. Loved it here. We will be back! Oh and make sure to sign the guest book!

We had a lovely long weekend at The River’s Edge Chalet. Everything you need and more was provided by the hosts. Access to the river was easy. While we did see fish jumping, none made it on our lines but did have fun trying!! Numerous hikes of all levels close by for those who want to venture out. Plenty of amenities for those who want to stay put. Definitely worth another visit.

We had a wonderful visit at Rivers Edge Cabin! We’ve never stayed anywhere so well stocked with anything and everything you think you would need communication was incredible and the property is so serine and fun. We tubed, hiked, kayaked, grilled our dinners, had a firepit, and loved the hot tub. We will definitely be back!

What was offered was above and beyond. My brother ended up bringing out his wife and 2 small girls on the second day because it was too lovely for them to miss out on. All of the “kitchen extras, games and s’mores” were just icing on the cake. Thank you Tom and Linda

Amazing riverside chalet with everything you need!
We had a very nice time at the Rivers Edge Chalet! It was warm and inviting with all the amenities we could ask for from a bottle of wine to the fixings for smore's by the fire. The kitchen was very well stocked with a coffee maker/Keurig and all types of kitchen gadgets to meet any of your chef's needs. You could literally cook anything. We spent time relaxing at the rivers edge, just a short walk out from the back of the chalet. We also explored the two addition access trails in the same neighborhood that let to other spots along the river. The upper trail was wide enough to pull a small wagon through and there was a nice sandy beach at the end. From our chalet we could see Becklers peak which we hiked one of the days we were there. Upon return from each of our day excursions we'd soak in the hot tub and then start a little outdoor fire in the firepit off the deck. The lower level of the chalet also has a pool table, which we made use of, and tons of games and puzzles. Overall this was a great private location not to far from Leavenworth and quite a few hiking trails. Check-in and out were easy and convenient. The hostesses were responsive and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!

Vacation Perfection
After waiting over two years to go on vacation due to Covid, our Florida family of five decided to try something completely different by heading west to the mountains---and, wow, we are so happy we did!! The Chalet was all that we had hoped it would be and more---to walk in after a long day of travel and find a bottle wine along with a personalized welcome message was the perfect start to a perfect week. The riverfront location was so quiet, peaceful and serene that we felt we were in a fairy tale. The house itself was inviting, cozy, very clean and stocked with anything and everything that we needed. We especially enjoyed the pool table, feeding the birds and squirrels off of the deck and simply listening to the hypnotic sounds of the river. We also made good use of the hot tub following our multiple hikes, especially the one to Bridal Veil Falls--what a spectacular place---it should not be missed! I could go on and on about this wonderful place and can't say enough positive things about the Chalet. Our many thanks to Tom and Linda for sharing their beautiful home with us! The Moore Family

Wedding Party Getaway
We booked this property for a little getaway with our wedding party before our wedding in June. Everyone had a blast! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and then some. Hot tub was a hit as well as the game room. We took a little day hike along the river, which was absolutely beautiful! Everyone loved the property and none of us were ready to leave. Amazing getaway! Big thanks to the hosts!
