About this cabin rental

Settle in to this lakefront cabin, launch your small boat and cast a rod to land a hefty rainbow or brown trout from the front yard, stroll among the aspen, and have quick access to the legendary splendor of Glacier National Park. Guests are a mere 20 minutes from the Park, as both the Many Glacier and St. Mary’s entrances invite visitors to explore the wonders of the Crown of the Continent. Hikers will find that the perfect Glacier Park trail is near. The area has been a fishing haven for us, and it is near to well over a dozen lakes and rivers, each of which has abundant trophy-class trout.

The cabin is a perfect home away from home. Large windows showcase the lake. You’ll find 3 bedrooms, which include 2 main-level bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a loft bedroom (2 queen beds). A large bathroom, with a shower, is located on the main level. Laundry facilities are on-site. The kitchen is well-appointed with basic cooking supplies, a large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and range/oven. A barbecue on the front deck is the perfect place from which to enjoy the lake view. The living room has a TV for watching DVDs, a video library, board games, and a gas fireplace.

The area is wild and scenic, but also offers many convenient amenities. There are several restaurants, a gas station, and grocery store within a 15 minute drive of the cabin.

There are few things in the world more satisfying than an escape to one of Montana’s favorite treasures; wildlife and scenic vistas abound. Whether your spirit calls you to wander from your cabin or you’d like to settle in and gaze at the scenery from the ample covered deck, you’ll find your happiness here. The perfect vacation calls you to Duck Lake.

We do not supply bear spray, previous guests sometimes leave bear spray. Verizon is the only service in this area. Internet is Star Link, being remote does have a slower connection. More users tends to slow down service.

Special accommodations for extra guests or fewer nights of rental are negotiable.

The house on Duck Lake was a very serine property, and in an excellent location for visiting all the locations on the east side of Glacier National Park. The neighborhood was very calm and quiet, and the hosts were very friendly when we reached out to them.

May 2024
We stayed for 5nights in May ,2024. We enjoyed the proximity to the East entrances to Glacier National Park- perhaps 30 minutes to Many Glacier or St Mary’s. The three bedrooms , full kitchen and back porch overlooking Duck Lake were perfect when we came back from a day of hiking or driving. Linda and Larry are wonderful hosts and Alice and her big brother dog, Fluffy, who live next door made occasional friendly visits. I think that made the stay EVEN BETTER! The home is built with a modern lodge flair and cleaned perfectly. The 1 hour trip up to Canada’s Waterton Park is also very convenient and worth the day trip. I’d stay here again upon visiting the area. East side is so much less congested than west side. Apple Maps directs you well. Google maps gets a little confused.
