Slow down, relax and prepare for life the way it should be at Southern Comfort. This home is located in the private community of Key Cove Landings, on an exclusive lane of waterfront residential homes. The perks of this little-known location are many: walking distance to the essentials such a Publix grocery store and the largest shopping center on the island, while still being tucked away in your own quiet neighborhood. This home includes plenty of off-street parking in the private garages, as well as on the driveways in front of the house.

This home’s highlight is the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows facing the water to provide the optimal view from every part of the house. The large open plan living room has a spacious seating area with plush couches around a large HD flat screen Smart TV. One of the couches also pulls out to a Queen-sized sleeper sofa for additional guests. There is a dining table with seating for up to 6 diners, with additional seating for 4 at the kitchen bar.
The master bedroom has a King size bed, a large flat-screen HD TV, and an en-suite bathroom complete with a glass shower, large Jacuzzi tub and separate room for the facilities. The master bedroom also has a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening out to your waterfront balcony. The second bedroom has a King size bed, a flat-screen HD TV, large walk-in closet, and a glass sliding door with access to the waterfront balcony. The bathroom is en-suite. The third bedroom is also on the 2nd floor with twin beds, flat screen TV, balcony access and en-suite bathroom. On the main floor there is a fourth bedroom with twin bed. There is a half bath down the hall.
Out back is one of the highlights of this home: the covered lanai and pool area. The covered outdoor dining area comfortably seats six for a poolside meal. The pool is heavenly, with views of the open water and visiting heron on the tropical greenery that surrounds the back yard. There is also a pool lounge area with comfortable chaises in a piece of deck that gets equal sunshine and shade. The backyard is complete with a large propane grill for a poolside BBQ.

4 couples, plus one more...we stayed at southern comfort for a 50th birthday celebration weekend and this home was perfect. Quite spacious, room to celebrate together and spacious private bedrooms. The home is in great condition and clean. Comfortable living room furniture. We rented two golf carts which we were able to keep in the garage. The pool was perfect to relax in as well. The home is just a short ride to Duvall when you want to be in the thick of it all. Close to Winn Dixie and Publix as well as other shopping and a short cart ride to Hog Fish. A great central location.

We enjoyed the view and the pool. The House was as pictured and overall very nice. A few items needed a little TLC, and we sent those items to property management via email. My email was quickly acknowledged and hopefully the items will be fixed before the next guests arrive.

Top floor A/C unit issues. Unit wouldn't stop running and wouldn't cool under 80°. Informed management as soon as realized, did not receive a response until about 10:30 that evening...this was after multiple attempts to contact. I found the non responsiveness for the issue very unsatisfactory. Of course the floor would naturally be cooler in the evening, but still would not dip below 80.They did try to fix it the next day to no avail so did offer a plan B. We had to move 7 ppl to a new location a few doors down, we did appreciate not sweating that night. Javier was helpful in his effort to make is comfortable our last night, we rented for the weekend. I was expecting a call or email Monday, 7/24/23 per a text. Said call did not happen so I sent a text asking for an update Tuesday,7/25/23,no response as of today, Wednesday,7/26/23. I would say the main issue is communication and follow through. Other than that the house was well appointed, all the beds are very firm, our group found them uncomfortable but that's preference.

Rented the unit for 1 week. Received many emails preparing us for the rental week. Downloaded an app that should have helped with all issues during the week. First issue was the door handle of the door from the garage into the foyer was falling off the door & the garage was not secured (open in back to the pool area). The email received in the app regarding maintenance issues gave no phone # or email address to contact management. There were numerous maintenance issues, but the most important was the mattress on the master bedroom bed. It was so hard & cheap, it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor. It also squeaked so loud if anyone moved that it was impossible to sleep on it without moving & waking up your partner. Every morning we said we couldn't wait to get home to get some decent sleep. The last issue was no trash bags for the kitchen trash can. We called to ask for trash bags & they brought us small trash bags used in the bathroom trash cans.

There were many issues that had to be addressed, repaired and resolved during the first week of our stay. However, the management company addressed every single issue promptly and professionally. They even installed child safety alarms on all of the entrance/exit doors for our peace of mind. When we looked at the photos, we were concerned that the house was not updated because of the dark color kitchen/bathroom cabinets and furniture. However, this house looks way better in person and the view is beautiful! It was very clean and nice which is very important to us. We would definitely come back and stay here again. The only cons are (1) we lost power a couple of times for 30 minutes to an hour but this is apparently normal for the whole island, and (2) we would feel more secure if the entrance/exit doors had a better lock system for child safety and security. For instance, adding high deadbolts from the inside on all entrance/exit doors (including the front entry door). Also, the jacuzzi still doesn't work but this was not a big deal for us.

Celebrated my niece’s 40th birthday. 7 females, 4 generations. Ages ranging 11-82. We had the best time. House was clean and well equipped. Enjoyed the pool. Secluded but easy to drive anywhere within minutes. Excellent property.

A comfortable, clean home that is close to several big stores but remains quiet and tranquil. Nice water views with your own pool gives a great balance of things to do. This is not 'downtown' but close enough to the action that even in a golf cart only take a few minutes to drive to all the attractions. Would stay again. Good communication with a code in advance and clear instructions on things like trash pick-up and check out.

We had a wonderful stay. The management company was very professional, friendly and helpful. The only small requests we'd make is to have more blankets for the beds and to have the jets work in the master tub. We really loved being on the water and appreciated the quiet location. We rented a golf cart and it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go.The house is nicely equipped with kitchen staples and towels. Also, a screw/bolt kept coming out of the garage door opener but my son is tall so he could hold it together so it's work properly. I'd HIGHLY recommend this property!

Great Stay
The property was as advertised. Home is beautiful and it was ideal for us. Great view from the top floor. Location was good, easy to get to and private. Would use this property again. The only change I would suggest is that the beds are EXTREMELY hard. They should spend some money on good mattresses. Would recommend

Property was centrally located. House was clean and roomy. Very disappointed in the pool. It was very dirty and we had to call 3 times to get it cleaned so unfortunately we were not able to enjoy it and that was on of the reason for booking this house.

Key West family vacation
First vacation since pandemic started (18 months) and we were all eager for it. This house was the only one I could find to fit us (8 people friends and family mixture) and it fit the bill just right! We loved the house and everything worked and was clean. Plenty of room and well appointed. We had asked for two of the rooms to be twins instead of a king (the beds in two rooms can separate) but it wasn’t set up that way and our group ended up being ok with it and working it out. There were no additional sheets, blankets or pillows at all and would have really been super to have for beds or sitting on couch, etc. I requested some and was told we would receive but didn’t. We worked around that also. I would stay there again for sure because it’s well taken care of and the company does a good job of providing all the info you need upon arrival and departure through an app, making coming in and out easy. Thanks to Key West Vacation Homes for helping to making it a fun family vacation! Success!!
