Everything about this place is amazing - the location is beautiful, the rooms were great and really spacious, and the food was incredible. And the hospitality of the hosts was even better! We felt super welcome and had a great time. The best experience of it all was the dinner; we were sat on the outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains, amazing food, hummingbirds zooming around, nice sun, and great company.
100% would recommend, this was probably the best accommodation we've ever stayed at in the US. (Also, shout-out to Shadow and Sammy; the dogs made us feel even more at home).

Alles was perfect!

The place is amazing. Frank and Sandra are exceptional. Have never eaten such good food.
Nothing.

Sandra and Frank were fabulous hosts, very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Room was very clean and food restaurant quality. The view from the lodge outstanding.
The property was great no complaints.

Beautiful views of the San Juans. Very comfortable, clean, luxurious room. Frank takes a lot of pride in his lodge and cooks you a farm to table fresh breakfast in morning. Can hear the wildlife while you sleep. Wonderful walking trails along side the farm animals and friendly house dogs. My favorite was looking at the mountains while sitting on the porch deck, watching the hummingbirds buzz by. Such a beautiful, unique lodge, can’t wait to be back!

The location of the B&B was serene and quiet. Sitting outside on the wrap-around patio was exactly what I wanted and needed. The lovely owners attended to my every need and were very friendly. The evening meal they prepared for me (upon my request) and the included delicious breakfast was outstanding. It brought me back to memories of my travels in Germany.
My large bedroom with the bathroom down the hall was located on the bottom floor underneath the main floor's kitchen and dining room which was not ideal for me being a light sleeper and awoken at 5:15 a.m. This was a last minute reservation and it was the only room available. I would definitely stay here again and request a room in a different location.

The owners make this bed and breakfast. They are delightful! The home cooked to order breakfast was awesome and the hospitality was A+. 3 friendly dogs are a big part of this place and there are many other animals to enjoy on the ranch. Dozens of hummingbirds on the patios. Beautiful views too. The room we stayed in was huge!
No a/c in the bedroom made it a pretty warm night even with the windows wide open. The provided box fan helped some. The screen was loose and warped on 1 big window so it had to stay closed. The bed was also very hard and needed a topper of some sort.

Frank and Sandra were really welcoming and the food was delicious!

The overall experience in staying here is so warm and welcoming. Frank and Sandra are like old friends after a short two night stay. There is so much going on here— fabulous food, the horses, chickens, bunnies and dogs. Oh I almost forgot the goats! It was just a lovely time. The owners clearly enjoy being innkeepers and getting to know their guests.
I felt like it was quite a long drive to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, which is what I came to visit, but probably the quality of the ranch makes up for that.

The Double G Ranch so greatly exceeded expectations. Gorgeous location, elegant and fabulous hosts; delicious dinner and delightful European style breakfast with personal and attentive service. Frank and Sandra are first-rate hosts and engaging raconteurs who manage to make 5 star service feel friendly and casual. Truly exceptional.
Nothing I can think of.

Loved our stay.

The Double G has the most helpful, friendly, and engaging host and hostess. Frank and Sandra were great. The breakfasts and dinners they served were delicious. The deck offered scenic views of the snow capped San Juan Mountains and other mountain ranges. Our stay at the Double G was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Colorado.
One small thing we thought a little odd: our very comfortable king bed had a nice coverlet but no sheet between it and the fitted sheet. Thus we had a very warm cover but has no option of just a sheet for our cover. This was a little strange considering we were there in late June. We highly recommend the Double G as it was absolutely a wonderful place to stay.

Owners were very kind, offered free food which was delicious. Amazing view, rooms were clean and comfortable. Helped us with our travel around the area. They let us walk around their property. Would definitely recommend the stay. 10/10

The view from our room, the animals and the option to dine with other guests at a communal table. We also loved the wood burning stove in our room
I only wished it had a soaking tub

Beautiful, quiet location. Frank, the host was so caring and attentive and gave wonderful suggestions for touring the area.
The ranch is immaculately kept.

Hosts Frank and Sandra where the most gracious hosts. From the moment we arrived to the excellent dinner and breakfast, they were there to make sure everything was perfect! Quiet, peaceful setting on the deck with hummingbirds feeding and the incredible starry night viewing added to the enjoyment... The wife loves the turquoise/silver/horsehair custom bracelet designed and created from Sandra. Maybe a matching necklace/pendant in the future?

The ranch is absolutely beautiful with great views all the way around! Frank and Sandra make you feel right at home and treat their guests very well! We are looking forward to our next stay here!

Location. Great breakfast. Wonderful hosts.

A real "find", though I wouldn't want to look for it after dark. In retrospect, I wish I'd booked 3 nights and used
the ranch as my base for exploring the San Juan Mountains area. This might be the prettiest part of Colorado.
The host, Frank Gouder, is a very interesting man with a range of different business and life experiences over
the years in both the US and Europe. He is a true "Renaissance Man". He added an extra dimension to what was already a very enjoyable stay. Hope I make it back some day.
No criticisms at all.

The bed and breakfast was excellent. Frank, our host, was very welcoming and a great cook. Our omelettes both mornings were fantastic.
It felt like we were visiting with friends. It’s a little bit out of town but that is what makes it even better. It’s a beautiful 20 acre ranch, 20 minutes from Montrose. I would definitely stay here again.

So much to like. lovely surroundings, nicely appointed room, away from the crowds, and best of all was the gracious hospitality of the hosts.
