No food being served here
The view was beautiful
I was told my room would have a Jacuzzi the first room they put us in did not have a screen in the window and it was very stuffy. The second room they put us in had a broken toilet and no Jacuzzi.
The staff was very helpful bringing our luggage to our room given the amount of stairs we had to climb. We appreciate that.

Owners were awesome and very helpful. Awesome location
Booking.com over charged me. by approx. $50. Still working on reimbursement. I was invoiced $324 and Booking Charged me $382

Booking.com mistakenly booked us in as a tent and the staff and the staff was unreasonable and ended up double charging us for the room

The view out of the window was nice, the staff were friendly to us. And the food from the tavern was very good.. no complaints
I did not like the room, it was very tiny and antique furniture looked like out of an old western. Had to climb three set of stairs to the room, very old fashioned. I booked for two nights but only stayed one as it was not comfortable and raining heavily.
3.5
Spectacular location and grounds, charming historic hotel, clean and comfortable room/beds, good shower and bathroom facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The bedroom walls transmit noise all too well, despite the room's fan, and several sets of noisy neighbors disturbed our first night's sleep, the upstairs folks by dropping things and walking heavily at 1:30am, and the next door neighbor by having a loud phone conversation at 5:30am! The next two nights we used a white noise app on the phone and slept much better.

We rented a handicap accessible room. The location of the room was excellent. The bathroom was accessible and adequate. My chief complaint was the height of the bed. It was so high that I could barely get into it. I have Parkinson's Disease and am still fairly mobil. I don't think many disabled people would be able to manage the bed. Another consideration is that you need to climb two flights of stairs to get to the office to sign in. I am not able to climb that many stairs. My husband signed us in but he had a difficult time with the steps. The restaurant is also located on the second floor. It is not a handicap accessible hotel.

Kept kitchen open so we could eat on arrival. Easy access to Fourth Lake for ice fishing and snowmobiling.

It was a comfortable place to take a respite. The room was beautiful with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was exceptional and friendly.
My room was on the top floor with no elevator. This was clearly communicated throughout the descriptions of the Inn so I knew I would need to climb stairs before arriving.

Really woodsy, and cozy with a fantastic view of the lake. Right in town with access to lots of things to do.

We left as soon as we got to our room. There was no television and the floor in the bathroom under the radiator was not clean. We were not comfortable staying at The Woods Inn.
See above.

Great location to town. Beautiful waterfront. Beautiful views. Old hotel charm. While we were there for three nights, it was after prime season so fairly quiet. Had a restaurant but wasn't open. Had a tavern with food and drink open Thurs thru Sunday so only got to experience it once for a drink but nice.
The screen on our bedroom window needed to be fixed. Other than that, great.

accommodating staff.
Somewhat overpriced.

it’s very conveniently located to many things to do.
I think more can be done to clean up some of the 10,000 giant spiders on the inside. also, the bartender during our stay was often very moody and on a few occasions said she was ready to turn the lights off and close the bar because of how mad she was. also she would step away every 5 minutes and disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time even with a full bar.

We liked the beach and view
We could not get the jet tub in room 207 to work. Disappointed!

It was convenient to town. The room seemed spacious.
The boy checking us in was not very confident in what he was doing and smelled so bad that the entire lobby reeked of B.O. The room was big but the bathroom wall was dirty and there were many cobwebs surrounding the vanity light and medicine cabinet. The comforter had a crusty spot on the top which was noticed well after check in and there was never anyone around to report the cleanliness to when we passed the front desk during our stay. We were only on the property to sleep so we didn't make use of anything other than the room. Also, our lakeside view was actually all blocked by trees. The room was on the 3rd floor and the windows open wide with no safety measures (other than screens) for a family room which may have younger children, that could be extremely dangerous.

We had planned to stay at the Woods Inn to purchase our new kayaks from the Frisky Otter which is an AWESOME kayak rental/sales business next door. Because we drove a long distance, the lake location was ideal. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the 2 days we were there, making it less than ideal.
The staff were rude, the beds were rock hard, and the walls paper-thin. Hardly slept because someone banged on our door in the night for fun. You can hear EVERYTHING from the adjoining room. It felt unsafe.
We let management know and they did not assist us at all. The hotel is old, dark, and feels neglected. Not worth the price.
Would not recommend staying here to anyone. Go there for dinner just not on a Tuesday or Wednesday!

beautiful setting!
we really needed a queen sized bed. we were in the Artist room 302. my husband is nearly 80 and was a hike up those stairs.

I like that it was clean and that it had a country chic vibe. The linens were nice. The Adirondack touches like the lamp and the curtain hooks were adorable. We really loved the wood floors and nice white and clean bathroom with good pressured running water. It was more than helpful that the room had a full size bed along with a daybed with a trundle under it, leaving plenty of room for all of us to sleep comfortably.
We were on what they call the third floor but was actually the fourth floor because you had to walk up two sets of stairs just to get to the first floor. That was a heck of a walk with a 1-year-old going up and down every time we wanted to go somewhere or do anything and God forbid we forgot anything upstairs when we went to leave for the day or downstairs when we went to bed at night.
NO AIR CONDITIONING! THAT MADE SLEEPING FOR A 1-YEAR-OLD HELL. She screamed both nights most of the night out of discomfort and frustration.
Also there was no TV. Which is fine but my 1-year-old is accustomed to watching bluey before bed.

I assumed room 104 was on the first floor however it was 2 flights up 50 stairs. I have a bad knee and hip and had a terrible time climbing the steps. The beds were very hard and high. The staff they had were in fact pleasant and the setting pretty but would not have booked because of the stairs
