Family had a wonderful stay here! Host was so welcoming and great communication. House had fantastic views and was so well set up for hanging out on the decks, or living room, lots of options for seating areas to enjoy a nice coffee and take in the views! Fully equipped kitchen. We had a great time!

We were after a quiet and beautiful place to getaway. This didn’t disappoint. The views are breathtaking (I actually don’t think the photos online do it justice - just beautiful!). The house is open and bright, lots of space and all the amenities that you could need. An amazing entertaining space and Libby was a great communicator. Would highly recommend the house and the beautiful area.

We had such a lovely stay here. The view is just AMAZING (one of the best I've seen) with nice large decks to enjoy them from. The spa pool was a great bonus! Communication with Libby was great. If you come to Tairua I definitely recommend a stay here you will not regret it :)

We are so incredibly grateful that Libby & her family generously shared their home with us. Not only is the home warm and welcoming and perfect for a family holiday (great kitchen, ample space & wonderful entertainment areas) but the location is magical (breath taking views) & convenient (quick walk to beach or up Paku for park!). Only challenge is the driveway which I wouldn’t recommend going down in anything less than a 4WD but if you have one it’s fine ;) BEST holiday we have had in years!

The house was not clean. There was a grime layer on the surfaces, the downstairs bedrooms were fairly musty. We paid a premium price for this property, and then were charged extra for linen hire and also had to make the beds ourselves. The driveway is downright dangerous. there is a warning on the check in details, but these were e-mailed to me after I had already started my journey. Having arrived in the dark in the rain I then had to reverse my car up the tricky driveway. the other car (a 4WD) slipped going up the driveway going forwards. There is little to no safe parking on the street either. The house itself and position is absolutely lovely, but I feel the price should better reflect these issues that we encountered, that detracted from the overall enjoyment of our wee break in Tairua.

The view hits you as soon as you walk in through the front door. Just a stunning location and whilst it rained for our stay this did nothing to take away from our enjoyment of this great location.
We were sad that we couldn't use the Spa until the second day as it was being cleaned when we arrived and took a while to come up to temperature. We were there for three nights however so got plenty of use out of it on the other days - there is something magical about sitting in a spa in the rain!
We would definitely come back again and our host Libby was incredibly responsive to our questions and helped make sure we were well prepared for the trip.

What an awesome position overlooking Pauanui beach, with great views of Slipper Island. A great walk just out the door up Paku Hill 360° views.

We stayed in summer over new years. The property was amazing! We were three couples with our children. The bunkroom was great for sleeping all the kids and the number of bathrooms was great for each family to have a bathroom. The lounge/living areas and the deck were large with lots of places to accomodate everyone. We even used the fire on the chilly evenings and enjoyed sitting around that. The views from the deck are amazing and a great place to watch the boats, jetskis and planes go by. Our kids particularly enjoyed the spa pool as well and spent hours in it every day.The only negative, is the traffic getting into Tairua. The one lane bridge delayed our arrival by about 45 mins. And we drove north towards Whitianga one day and got stuck in traffic for about 2 hours coming back. This isn't a problem with the property as its possible to get into Tairua and be very happy not leaving but worth noting so others don't get caught out.

We enjoyed your place for a short getaway. It’s a hidden gem on Mt Paku. Two spacious sunny bedrooms on the main level. Spa is clean and fresh on arrival. We’ll be back again!
