Property was perfect for our Golf Weekend.
Would like to see some more lighting on steps up to house as we arrived after dark each night but we loved the house. We'll be back next year.

There are definitely some house issues that l see from other reviews that were still present during our stay. Not sure if they were communicated to Jennifer directly or just left in the review, but l addressed them in an email to her and she was very responsive so l hope they will be corrected for future renters.
But these were just minor irritations compared to how wonderful this house was for our group. The location was great. Granted you would not walk to the slopes with all of your gear, etc but it was a very short drive & everyone thought that was great. The size of the living room seating wise was awesome for quite a few people to kick back & watch a movie, snooze, etc. And the LARGE dining room table held our entire group for meals & playing games.
All in all it was a great stay and had everything we needed.

Not really what we expected since the listing mentions the house is a short walk to the slopes (main reason I booked). It's more of a short drive to the slopes. Definitely not a walk you want to make with snowboard/ski gear on or with kids. There was a beautiful claw footed tub in one of the bathrooms. However they probably need to invest in a bigger/better hot water heater since the level only got to ankle height before the running water turned cold. This was after being gone on the slopes all day so no one had used any hot water prior to this. Needless to say we weren't able to use the bath tub. The listing also made it appear that we had access to use the indoor pool for a fee so we got our bathing suits on and headed over to the pool to find out we weren't allowed to use it. The kids were so bummed. The house in general was a bit wore down. The single pull out in the 4th bedroom was shaped like a taco and had springs sticking out, so not really usable. The blinds also in the 4th bedroom seemed broke/stuck (couldn't pull them down). We couldn't get any channels on the TV in the 3rd bedroom. The batteries were removed from all the remote controls in the family room and we had issues getting the remotes to work so we ended up manually using the buttons to control the TV. Some positives include: spacious enough to accommodate a large group, couch in family room was comfortable, house was well insulated and warm, overall bedrooms were comfortable and views were pretty!

Property needs maintenance. Deck is rotted, 2 people got hurt due to rotted stairs not nailed down. Numerous light bulbs missing both inside and out.

Wintergreen was a great meet-up place for several groups of our family, and this place ended up being the perfect size too. It fit two families of four really well and was clean and well stocked. Highlights were hiking Crabtree falls (about 30 mins away), snow tubing, and enjoying time together on the first few days of our winter break. The directions were clear about brining your own food, so we did most of our own cooking but also went to a brewery one night. Great place!

At destination, home was ready for us.
One room had no lights. All the bulbs were burn out.
Fortunately, there were ample bulbs avaible.
Plenty of paper products on location.
An enormous amount of leaves on the deck and stairway.
We cleared them to make the stairs and deck less slippery.
The manager made an attempt to satisfy our needs.
We would still like this location again.

The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Worked out great for 4 old guys on a weekend golf trip. Jennifer was a great host and very responsive to our questions. Defintely plan to return next year.

Treetop is just as described! Lots of room for a family of 6, with beds to spare. All the needed amenities and perfect location within 0.5 miles of the Mountain Inn restaurants, discovery ridge adventure center (mini-golf, gem mining, rock climbing, etc.), and beautiful hiking trails! Highly recommended for memorable family vacations. We will be back!

Our objective for this trip was to give our central Florida grandkids a winter mountain experience and the chance to see snow and go snow tubing. Our grandkids loved climbing the rocks on the property. The house was cozy and well equipped. We made good use of the wood stove and the kitchen. And it actually snowed a little overnight one night!

Absolutely stunning and spacious home! Lost of room for a huge family of 11 and lots to do! The kids woke up and thought we were in the clouds with the fog surrounding us so high. The views were breathtaking and the environment was very peaceful

The only issue I had was that for a booking for two adults, a teenager, and a child I was only provided 2 towels but 4 washcloths. I wouldn't of cared if I would of known beforehand that I had to bring my own towels. Other than that we loved the house! Also loved seeing a bat up close on our first night there just hanging out in the window to the upstairs bedroom! And all the games there on hand were a huge plus!!

We came here to stay for a trail race nearby, and it was a perfect location. Awesome fireplace with cozy living room. The hot tub was great for sore muscles. We are very familiar with the area so enjoyed the access to trails and breweries and wineries. Would totally stay here again. Bonus: I left my nice headphones and Chris made sure I got them back!

The house is well laid out and appointed. It is part of Wintergreen Resort, a beautiful development, well thought out and executed. The kitchen/dining room are the heart of the house, and where we hung out. It's close to more activities than I can count or we could see.

Farm table perfect size for meals and laughter. Host very attentive, clean with ample linens. Vertical fans for rooms and celing fans in bedrooms helped with warmer weather.
Thank you

We had a wonderful time this past weekend! The place was awesome and larger than the pictures make it seems. Super clean and welcoming. We loved all the games the place had, and large cozy sofas and the proximity to the slopes. Its not really "ski in/ski out" but the slopes were super walkable and made it easy for a large group. The host was super communicative and really helpful. Overall -- successful weekend!!

Everything was absolutely top notch. Linens were clean, house was clean. A cozy place for a family get together. Location is excellent, close to local wineries and breweries. We will absolutely book here again!

The check in & out process was very simple. Upon driving up to the chalet the view was breathtaking. The chalet is tucked away on a semi private road. The home is beautifully decorated, very cozy and warm. Fresh linens and towels in every room. This was exactly what my family needed. Nearby are many hiking trails as well as a waterfall. The Discovery Park was closed for the season which had zip lining, tubing , rock climbing. We’re already planning out next trip at Wintergreen Resort next year.

Pro: good location. Linens and towels were clean and nice quality. Large peaceful deck.
Con: stained carpeting and furniture. No A/C. Rodents ate our food. Poor cable selection (no local networks). Musty odor. Generally a worn out house needing some updates and freshening up.

Perfect mountain property for family and pets...not too fancy! We loved the location- enjoyed hiking "The Plunge": short drive to Lake Sherando; very private. Kitchen was well-equipped and we cooked most meals at home. The market was close by for take-out pizza! Wi-fi was reliable, important for our big kids! Property owner was very responsive to communication - thank you!

Neat little mountain community with amazing views. The house was the perfect weekend getaway!

Wonderful and cozy home. It was super cold and snowing outside and this home was so cozy warm inside. The kids were able to walk to the middle of Tyro to snowboard, just fine. There are a lot of stairs leading up to the home but we were a young'ish crew and could manage. The home really did feel like a cozy treehouse. Thank you for opening your home to our family. We had a great time.

Plenty of room for 2 families of 4 - we would have been comfortable adding a couple, too. We had plenty of snow to ski on the slopes at Wintergreen. I would not say you could walk to the slopes. I'm pretty fit and athletic, and I wouldn't attempt to walk. Fortunately, we stayed during the week; so we drove to the snow tubing lot to park and get ready for skiing. We jumped on the slopes right there (Eagles swoop), and packed our lunch so that we didn't have to wait in the long lines for food on the slopes. The kitchen is very well stocked, and we even used the gas grill on the deck. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Tree House! The location is perfect for skiing and the house is a perfect mountain home. It was very comfortable with all amenities necessary for family to enjoy a COVID friendly vacation!

On one hand, this cabin is family-oriented and well-appointed for children. The kitchen is open and easy to maneuver with lots of seating. Lots of room for people to sleep (and the sound machines in most rooms are a nice touch!). The upstairs bath with claw-foot tub is charming & rustic. On the other hand, the property is in desperate need of a deep clean and a professional organizer. There is a difference between "Oops! The cleaning crew skipped a week" and layers of grime on the linoleum, in the carpets, area rugs (many of which need to thrown away), on appliances, etc. The children's items are carelessly tossed aside in the kitchen, to pile up on the floor and collect dust and dead insects. The DVD's and video games are also seemingly thrown into the entertainment center with no organization or care. The deck offers gorgeous views, but there's limited seating options and they were too dirty to eat off of. A very 50/50 property to review. The owner was very responsive.

House is adorable, warm, comfortable and just as pictured in the listing. Location is idealic. Quality pans/plates in very nice kitchen helped my friends and I enjoy cooking as much as eating.
