Dirt and mold in many places. Window blinds broken and dirty. Toilet had fecal matter and yellow stains. Only given 4 towels for a 7 day stay and dryer was not working properly (took 4 times to dry a load) and uneven/sloping foundation.

Staying in the cottage was fun! We loved the location and the size of the house. It met our family and pets needs. We had a few issues we comminicated with the owner and he handled immediately. It was a great expereience over Spring break!

I stayed here with my dog for our annual trip to the Oregon coast. It was a nice, cozy place to stay just a stones throw away from the beach. However, there are a few considerations. When I stayed here, there was no internet. Due to a communication mix up, I had to wait for maintenance for 2 hours. I was only there for 2 nights, so this happened on my only full day there. When maintenance got there, he called Century Link and they informed him that they were no longer providing internet service to that area. I'm not sure if the Dish tv was part of that but I could only get about 6 channels and 4 of them were the same. But this is something that couldn't be helped, so I'm not going to dwell on it. Just something to consider if they haven't found another internet provider. I have a dog and although convenient to access the beach, there was no grass for my dog to do his business. Not a deal breaker, but something else to consider. One last comment was about the bedroom. The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs, again, not a deal breaker but not very convenient. I found the bedroom to get really warm with the afternoon sun, so I left windows open at night. Because houses are so close, I was startled awake by someone dragging their luggage up a stairwell at almost midnight. There is literally only about 3 feet between the buildings. This is not a bad place to stay, depending on what's important to you.

Pro-tip, Definitely listen to the instructions on parking, I’m glad I did. The driveway/parking is for small cars only. Our Prius was great and I’m glad I didn’t bring my truck 😆

My daughter and I came to Seaside to celebrate a special anniversary for our family. The cottage was perfectly set up for us and met every need we had. The location was perfect for walks along the promenade or beach any time of the day. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for our time at the coast. Jim was a delightful host and made sure our stay was lovely. We would definitely stay again!

The cottage is a short walk to the beach and a quick drive away to the shops and restaurants in town. Driveway is a little tight and no street parking, neighbors were a little close but very friendly. Clean inside and cozy.

The only downside is the parking is very tight and no Kleenex. We used TP and barely had enough for 3 1/2 days.

Comfy bed, very clean, good entertainments provided, heater keeps the cottage warm. It’s an easy stroll down the promenade to the best restaurants and all the action. We recommend Finns. Many paths across the dunes to the beach. Or a quick drive to free public parking. Living room could use brighter lighting.

This VRBO spot was perfect for my pup and I. We very much enjoyed how close we were to the beach, downtown, and how clean the property was. I decided before we even checked out that this will now be an annual trip at this location. Very easy to find, easy key access, and clean. You really can’t beat this! Just book it!

I enjoyed sitting on the couch upstairs looking at the ocean. Napping, reading or just watching the ocean. Loved every minute of it! Nice to go out on the walkway and sit on a bench in the sun!

Nice but
It is advertised as a jacuzzi tub, well it is not! There is only a shower. My husband and I had been looking forward to it, we both have muscle issues and could have used it. Parking was not fun. It was very close to the beach. We could watch the waves from the upstairs bedroom.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy Seaside cottage. Nice neighborhood that was quiet and close to the beach. The cottage was clean and well furnished and check in and instructions were clear and easy to follow. The cottage is tucked closely behind neighboring houses and the only downside is no direct ocean view. Highly recommended!

Cozy cottage close to coast
This cottage is as advertised: cozy, small, and close to the beach. It's steps away from the Prom and the beach (closer than I expected), and really close to shopping and restaurants. The bedroom is not very private (three windows have no coverings), so we changed downstairs in the bathroom. The addition of curtains to be able to draw over the windows would make future tenants feel more comfortable. The bed is fine if you like a firm mattress. After our first night we went to Walmart and bought a foam mattress topper and thicker pillows, and we were comfortable from then on. The sofa upstairs is very comfortable and a great spot to curl up with a book and watch the ocean. The furniture downstairs is cute but not super comfortable -- the loveseat and chair are sunken a bit but still serviceable. The washer and dryer and laundry detergent was a nice surprise! Bathroom is lovely. Check out procedures were fair and simple. Parking was adequate for our mid-size SUV, BUT! Getting in and out of the property required three to four point turns to get out--thank goodness for backup cameras! Luckily we had nice neighboring renters who agreed to move their giant truck just a bit to help us one day. The host was a perfect gentleman we wished we could tuck into our car to bring home and be our new best friend. TV has cable and apps like Netflix and Hulu already on it. There are books and games on the shelves for rainy day activities. The neighborhood was quiet and neighboring tenants and residents were all very pleasant. We really enjoyed our four night stay, and so did our dog.

Overall enjoyable
It was nice and clean. The property is also close to the beach so that was nice. There is no AC so upstairs gets hot. Not easy for me to sleep. When the windows were open it helped but seagulls wake you up about 5:30 am and you have to close them. Bathroom is also downstairs so it’s a bit of a walk in the middle of the night. Overall, it was fine. It’s always nice going to Seaside.

Beyond the general positive review elements below, we 1.Caution older guests to consider that the bedroom is upstairs & the bathroom is downstairs and 2.The slanted ceiling upstairs is not for tall people. We highlight 3 items that could be changed to improve a visit: 1.Upper section of west window upstairs needs a light blocking feature at night to block 3 bright overnight lights from next door motel. 2. Bathroom hinges need oil. 3. Parking in & out is really for a small car only.
