Excellent spot, fun, waterfront, nice neighborhood, accessible, what more can you ask?

There is so much to say about our wonderful stay at the deck house. The views and sunsets are unmatched and the access to the water is ver convenient, especially for my young children (and dog).
The house itself was the most well equipped rental I’ve ever stayed in. We brought stuff from home that we never even needed. From beach towels to toilet paper to dish detergent. My kids also had a blast with Lego building contests and watching old VHS’ in the loft.
Don was very responsive to questions that we had as well. A must visit!

I have been renting this house for 12 years. I love the location and Don and Diane are very easy to work with.

We had a wonderful stay on Mallets Bay. Having previously stayed at the house next door (owned by the same host) we knew we could expect a clean property and this delivered. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us. The open floor plan allowed our toddler and dog ample running around options and our son was obsessed with the stash of toys upstairs in the loft. Everything was set up for comfort and the views can’t be beat. Looking forward to coming back next year!

We stayed here for UVM graduation weekend. Easy drive into Burlington and gorgeous sunsets made this the perfect rental for our visit.

Correspondence with the owner was quick and informative, arrival went flawless. Property is private and do peaceful. House was spotless and had all you could want and more. Sat on the deck watching the lake, sunsets, waking up to birds and a view to make you just want to stay. I would recommend this lovely property to everyone.

The house is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. It's right on the lake in a quiet neighborhood, but minutes from Burlington. My husband, I and 2 friends enjoyed activities in the area during the day and time at the house in the evening. The well-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook dinners and the dining table afforded beautiful views of the lake and sunsets as we ate. We went at this time of year with hopes of seeing some Northern Lights. While the conditions and weather were not cooperative for that, we spent one evening with hot chocolate out on the deck gazing at the stars. Many thanks to Diane and Don for sharing their beautiful home. I highly recommend this property and would stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Home was warm and inviting. Locaton is close to Burlington and University of Vermont. Local area has all you need. Restaurants, grocery shopping, gas and pubs are all with a few miles. House is on Lake Champlain with beautiful sunsets. It was a great place to get away.

We had a great stay at this beautiful cottage on a bluff overlooking Lake Champlain. Very safe and quiet neighborhood that was great for our toddler and dog and made a perfect base for exploring Burlington and the Green Mountains. House had everything we needed to cook nice meals and enjoy the lake.

Wonderful and relaxing. Listen to the waves on the cool evenings from the deck. Beautiful sunsets. Close to colleges in the area and was a great spot for staying and getting to SMC for graduation.

We loved our time at this house! My only complaint is being told at booking that the dock wasn’t in yet and therefore made boating a challenge. I would rent this house again-it provided a lovely opportunity for our family to be together, clean, spacious, and beautiful, quiet location.

Owner was very accommodating, offered a slight earlier check- in due to an impending dangerous winter storm. It was nice to stay in in front of the fire during the storm. Kitchen was well stocked. Might be nice to increase wattage in the overhead lighting.

The house was great. It was even nicer than it looks in the pictures. It was very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive. The house has everything we needed to make a whole leg of lamb dinner even though it was too windy to use the grill

Amazing views, very cozy with a rustic feel. Perfect for our fall long weekend getaway!

We immediately felt at home when the coffee maker was the same as ours at home. Of course, the spacious living areas, deck overlooking Lake Champlain and tremendous sunsets were nothing like being at home. It was a pleasure to spend a month on Lake Champlain and host many combinations of family and friends. Don, our host, was thorough in keeping everything ship shape and responding quickly to our few concerns. It was hard to pack up and leave. We will always remember this great cabin on the water and Don's generous spirit and hospitality.

Great Stay on Mallets Bay!
We rented the property for my son's graduation weekend from UVM. We had a wonderful and relaxing time hanging out at the house with family and friends. The dock wasn't in yet, but the view of the lake was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definately stay here again.

Beautiful house with great views!
Such a beautiful house! Excellent location - close enough to Burlington (~15 minutes) but removed enough to make you feel like you have your own private oasis! We brought our dog with us and had a great time with her down by the lake! The views are amazing and we spent a lot of time out on the deck enjoying them! The interior of the house was well decorated and the couches and beds were very comfortable. We very much enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend you run, not walk, to book it! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Didn’t stay long enough…
Perfect. Needed somewhere to stay while visiting our UVM student and did we hit the lottery!! The view was spectacular, beds and sheets so soft and a well supplied kitchen. It felt like we were secluded but just close enough to Burlington. Truly a home away from home.

Great location!
It was a pleasure to stay in this beautiful lake house . It lived up to all of our expectations and more. The house was immaculate. The fully equipped kitchen made our cooking a breeze. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, watching all kinds of weather, especially the gorgeous sunsets. Biking into Burlington on the bike path, as well as on the Colchester causeway path were great fun and both were easily accessible. We were also entertained by the many musical groups playing jazz in Burlington during the Jazz fest. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and proximity to so many activities!
