About this house rental
Beaver Creek Lodge is a secluded 3 bedroom, 3 Bath lodge on 3 acres, about 3 miles from the Whiteface Ski Center, & about two miles from the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge. Beaver Creek is ringed by tall trees & mountains, & features a rustic porch for relaxing, while sipping your morning coffee, or watching the sun set, as well as a hot tub and a campfire in front of two huge glacial boulders. A fully equipped kitchen & a washer-dryer, complimentary high speed, wireless internet access & an HDTV flat screen, with satellite TV, exercise bench and recumbent bike; foosball, air hockey and 45" TV in the finished basement, making Beaver Creek Lodge your home-away-from-home in the Adirondacks.
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and two more can sleep in the trundle bed, while two guest rooms have a queen, & two singles respectively. There is a full pull-out sofa in the den/living room, and a futon in the finished basement. The wood stove is backed up by a conventional furnace, and there's a room downstairs for stowing away skis & hiking gear.
No other houses are visible from the property, so the desire to get away from it all is enhanced & fulfilled.
Runners, cyclists, cross-country skiers and hikers will run out of time, long before they run out of stunning mountain vistas to enrich their exercise, which is a major reason Ironman is held here every July. When your busy vacation day fades to dusk, there are several fine restaurants within a few miles of Beaver Creek Lodge, and if you want to make a full night of it, the Olympic Village of Lake Placid beckons, twelve miles away through one of the most beautiful drives in America, through the Wilmington notch along the West Branch of the Ausable River. Mountain Biking is big in the area. The Hardy Road Trailhead is about a mile from the house.
Don't forget your camera, as wildlife sightings include bobcat, red fox, fisher, the harmless Adirondack black bear and moose. If you don't see any of them, Guests may visit the nearby Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, where friends and family can meet and learn all about wolves, coywolves, coyotes, fox, bobcats, and see educational demonstrations with non- releasable birds of prey, like Bald Eagles, Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls, Screech Owls, Peregrine Falcons, Red-Tailed Hawks, and a crazy raven named Abie the Fishman, who was rehabilitated, but hangs around to entertain visitors.
This is a relaxing Lodge, where you will put your busy careers on hold, spend quality time with friends and family, and renew yourselves, surrounded by the incomparable beauty of the Adirondack Mountains. Sorry, no pets, and absolutely no smoking indoors.
Beaver Creek Lodge has a minimum 2 night stay most of the year, but 4 night minimum in July and August. A refundable $300 security deposit applies to all rentals which is refunded directly by VRBO.

House was good, clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, etc. Our only complaint is that key things did not work, eg, the game console for the kids and none of the downstairs showers worked properly. Shower off kitchen did not work at all, shower in master has no pressure. Area is pretty, hot tub was great.

We were two families of four with four kids between us (8-14 yo). The cabin was very spacious. Our kids slept in the trundle bed in the master bedroom with us. The other family was upstairs, adults in one room, kids in twin beds in the other. Three bathrooms was very convenient for our large group. If you are a group of ten, note that the basement was a bit too cool and damp to sleep comfortably imho. But we were only 8 so it was fine for us. The wifi could be spotty sometimes. The yard was nice and large for the kids to play catch in. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Though you could hear cars passing on the road occasionally it was perfectly private and screened in from by trees. Overall a great stay. Like your own piece of paradise with a view of a nearby mountain peak.

Spacious and very functional, the cottage has everything one might need for a vacation in the mountains. It is well positioned between Lake Placid, Wilmington and Keene, closecto thecWhiteface ski centre and Flume trails. It has country charm with modern utilities. Not sure that every room has air conditioning, we didn’t need it as we had some cool weather.

We have been renting places in and around Lake Placid for 40 years. This is one of our favorites! The house was very spacious and clean. The 4 kids ( ages 3 through 7) loved the basement with the air hockey and foosball tables. The upstairs closet was loaded with games and puzzles for everyone if we got bored, which we didn’t because we could walk out the front door and take a nice hike. The hot tub was a perfect end to a winter day. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay! We would recommend staying here in a heartbeat!

Went as a family to cheer on my son at Ironman Lake Placid. This location was quiet, relaxing & perfect for our family. We enjoyed exploring the local area, proximity to hiking, restaurants & sights. Wilmington is a beautiful community!

The cabin is lovely and has a lot of space all over. Beds are comfortable and there is so much to make your stay a home away from home (cooking equipment, games, seating everywhere). We really enjoyed being able to have meals all together at the table (8 of us) and letting the kids have their own space in the house (our own was nice too).
Some things in the house can use some TLC (Deck furniture, foosball table and air hockey tables need some repair) but nothing that would deter your overall experience.

This is our second time staying at this property and we loved it just as much as we did last year. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and has all the amenities. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit — although we discovered that we needed to purchase firewood from local stores. Last year, wood was supplied, but the welcome book explains that it's not always available. I strongly recommend a stay this Wilmington property. We will be back!

Rented cabin with some friends to hike one of the high peaks. Did some fishing and cons some nice brown trout. Kevin as well appointed and clean. I told him straight after a long day in the woods. It’s a second time and will hopefully be back again.

Amazing Property!
This house is unreal. Perfect for the 5 of us. We are all in our 50's and 60's and the property boasted all that were after for 4+ nights for our annual retreat. We were serious about our intentions and every one was met. We all had the most comforting of accomodations. The place deserves a 5-Star rating. We cooked and we ate too much. We had a few toasts. We had a campfire. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there. It was perfect for our annual adventures. A sincere Thank You to our hosts. Doug

Nice Weekend
This house was clean, convenient , and private. We were here for a fall wedding and this house was perfect for us. We were the bride's parents, grandparents and her godmother and the three bathrooms gave us much needed space to get ready for whatever activities were taking place. We also enjoyed many of the local places of interest and some very good restaurants.

Idyllic spot
The house was very clean and the kitchen is incredibly well equipped. Unlike most rental houses, you could really cook there if you wanted. The hot tub was great and the yard is beautiful and secluded. We could look up and see the beautiful fall foliage. This is a place we'd definitely want to rent again!

Great property! We went there for an annual hike. Well laid out for a group of 10 with plenty of room to socialize and stretch. I had tub was wonderful. Excellent communication and our questions answered immediately. It’s very convenient to Wilmington in Lake Placid. Trout fishing of world-class nature within a 15 minute drive. Would highly recommend. I would definitely stay there again.

Fun Place
We stayed for 4 nights. We were a party of 2 families of 4 and had plenty of space. We had a great time, did a lot of cooking and eating. Kitchen is a little light on spoons, but we managed. Lots of pots, pans and cooking utensils. We had plans for most of the days so we didn't get to utilize the property as much as we would've liked, but we would definitely stay here again. We also had an issue with the heater turning on and the owner was very responsive and had a repairman come out. Thank you!

Lovely House and Property
Lovely house with ample room for us to spread out - love the decorations and attention to detail. Stayed with our adult children and we all felt like we had our own space, but also lovely common areas to spend time in together. Feels like you are in the middle of your own woods but its right off an easy to access road. Property is nicely maintained, hot tub is in excellent condition, owner was super responsive even for small items. Right near great hiking and kayaking - we had a really lovely time.

Great stays at Beaver Creek
This is our second time at this property and likely not our last. A little secluded and outside of LP Village which is just what we were looking for. Can’t wait to visit again! Thanks and see you soon!

Quirky but comfortable.
Quirky house, but comfortable. We were lucky enough to have the custodian come by to fix the TV. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipt, though previous tenants left the pots and utensils in considerable disarry. Great hot tub, and the grounds were large enough to allow a nice walk on snow shoes. Aside from the below zero temperatures, it was a pleasure to explore this beautiful part of the Adirondacks.
