ABOUT OUR PROPERTY
Stonewell Cottages and Vineyards is a boutique waterfront retreat set on an expansive private vineyard estate in the heart of the Barossa. Only 1 hour drive from Adelaide and a short drive from the town of Tanunda, the accommodation offers peace, privacy and seclusion in an idyllic location.
The two suites and two cottages, surrounded by vineyard, all with lake views, feature cosy wood fires and luxury spa baths. The well equipped kitchens are stocked with fresh local produce for self-preparation breakfasts. Enjoy serene water views, still tranquil evenings and stunning vineyard sunsets.
The Haven Spa Suites, the Hideaway Cottage and Cupids Cottage are hidden away amongst the vines of Stonewell Vineyards, our 103 acre (42ha) vineyard property, overlooking a picturesque, private lake. It’s a tranquil world away from stress and hectic schedules, but just a short drive from wineries and restaurants, the ideal place to escape and rejuvenate.
Sleep amid the vines and wake up to a long, lazy breakfast. Unwind in your candlelit spa, de-stress with an indulgent in-room massage. Feed the friendly ducks, row to the island gazebo, relax on the sunlounges by the lake, take a guided vineyard tour around the property or a leisurely bike ride along the vine lined country roads. Enjoy a gourmet platter or BBQ in your private outdoor courtyard overlooking the lake. Sip a wine made from the vines surrounding your cottage as you watch the sunset over the water.
The best of the Barossa is on your doorstep; visit nearby Seppelstfield Road for boutique cellar doors, historic winery tours; premium dining at Appellation, Fino and Hentley Farm and daily cooking demonstrations at Maggie Beers Farm shop.
Escape, rejuvenate at Stonewell Cottages and Vineyards.

Not good value for money
Good property but over priced for what it's offering. The size of the cottage is too small for $550 per night.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
This is such a special place. We stayed in Cupid's cottage & fell in love with it. A quaint little cottage, surrounded by a vineyard, lake & cute ducks. A very peaceful & intimate setting. We had such a beautiful stay here. A getaway we won't forget. Thanks Tina & Evan!

Stonewell Cottages was a wonderful experience and the memory of waking up to a view of the lake with a mist hanging over it, a hot air balloon gently gliding over it, the ducks waking up and floating on the lake, will remain with me forever. One of the most beautiful scenes I have seen anywhere in the world and I have travelled to over 45 countries. The area around the cottages with the dam and ducks and other wildlife was absolutely breathtaking especially in the morning and evening. The cottage was spotless and extremely clean, cosy and comfortable. Many provisions and treats were left (paid $AU690 for 2 nights 1st May 2011). The king bed is superbly comfortable and all bed linen & pillows very clean. The spa bath a wonderful extra treat. Meticulous attention to detail. I would recommend the Stonewell Cottages highly. I would have liked to stay longer than 2 nights.

It was the best romantic getaway for a special birthday, just the two of us. The cottage really exceeded our expectations. Everything was top of the range, cleanliness, equipment, the spa, breakfast provisions, the lake, the surrounding. It was one of the best things we did in the last years.

We loved our time in the Barossa Valley and Stonewell Cottages really suited us because we were in the area for 6 nights. The location was perfect, the surrounds were beautiful and breakfast goodies supplied were yummy. I would definitely recommend Stonewell Cottages to anyone looking for relaxing, private weekend or week away. The only slight disappointment was that the cottage was a little bit small, but hey I guess that made it cosy.

Our stay was sensational. The provisions provided and the condition of the cottage was awesome. It made my marriage proposal all the more special when combined with the ambience of the spa room at night. We will definately be going back.

Hideaway Cottage was the perfect location. Our purpose was to get away from 'it all' but not want for anything. All of our criteria were met. It was the height of luxury - and not just materially. We can't wait to return.....sigh...

We had a lovely stay at Stonewell Cottages. They are in a great location, very private and provide lots of extra comforts that make a big difference. The attention to detail in all things is especially noticeable. The breakfast food is yummy, particulary the fresh bread. The port and chocolate at night is also a treat, along with good books to read and up to date DVD's to watch! A very pretty setting. we would defintely stay there again if we are lucky enough to return to the beautiful Barossa Valley.
