I Loved this place. It was beautiful, comfortable. A lot of history. Will definitely be coming back

4.3
Beautiful property. Nice to watch the sunset on the porch.
4.3
4.3
Nice staff, clean room and on site restaurant. Loved the history. Just a very unique place and would definitely go back.
4.3
Historic, great decor. Good restaurant and bar
No fridge or microwave
4.3
The bathroom in our room was exceptionally small.
4.3
Every single staff member was genuinely nice and seemed to love their job. The hotel is beautiful and full of history. Leroy was great at sharing that history.
Rooms are tiny but that is to be expected in such an old hotel.
4.3
Loved the decor and style of the Hotel. It has alot of character. Loved the History, the restaurant's food was terrific, Staff was helpful and nice. The gift shop was great too. Had alot of choices to buy handmade native gifts. Rooms were comforable and had great water pressure.
The restaurant kept sending us away to come back because it was 10 minutes too early to serve lunch. Would
ve been nice to at least sit for a drink while we waited.

Loved the decor and history
Bathroom layout and lighting at vanity.

4.3
Bathroom small, but nothing you can do about it.
4.3
An historic gem! I have been going here for years...and not that long ago it still had all the charm, but was definitely dumpy. Worth it...but now REALLY worth it. SO much fun! And OMG the green chili stew is just to die for, as was the margarita!
The bathroom is tiny, which is fine, but the toilet does not have a seat top...this sounds silly but it is such close quarters that it is really easy to knock things - even your towels which are hanging over it - into the toilet without a lid to close. I am kind of a spaz, but not that much of a spaz. A toilet lid would be good.

4.3
Friendliest staff ever . Always strived to help me .
The AC didn’t work
It was on a railroad track
4.3
Fantastic historic hotel that has maintained all of its character. Very accommodating staff. Offered a room in the old section. Allow our small dog.
What's not to like.
4.3
No breakfast offered. Inroom coffee was awful and we left as soon as possible to et coffee offsite.
Bathroom was minisucle. Could barely stand in it without having your face in sink and you legs hitting toilet bowl. No fan, worn towels. Dirty carpets. Awful stay.
4.3
Very historic on hotel side, great decor on the motel side.
No aircon. Customer service very casual.

Super Lage an der Route 66.
Das Hotel hat viel Charme und Geschichte.
Sauber und freundliches Personal.
Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer.

Fun place to spend the night. Hollywood history buffs should definitely stop here

Loved the western decor, gift shop and restaurant on property. Management texted me the day after I checked in to see if everything was to my liking.
4.3
4.3
Hyggelig betjening, kule rom
4.3
Hotel caratteristico sulla route 66. Camere piccole ma confortevoli. Molto pulito. Aria funzionante. Macchina cffe in stanza
Zona non troppo sicura.
4.3
We loved the charm and history of the location.
We found the “deluxe king” room and bathroom small. The carpet needed cleaning in our opinion!
4.3
This is a historic gem, that weaves in together western culture, native American history and cinema. A really unique place to stay. The room was big enough, and comfortable. Staff was great, especially the restaurant staff. Burgers are great and have very funny names. A must stay + eat when in Gallup.
Room carpet could use a deeper cleaning. Bathroom is a bit small.
4.3
Great vibe definitely better option than your standard chain hotel. Staff were great.
Room was small but it is an old hotel. Breakfast restaurant staff were not as attentive as evening staff.
4.3
I loved the updated hotel but the old western vibe
Couldn’t use the balcony
4.3

This hotel is a kitschy replica of history! From the marquis sign to the old heavy saloon style doors to the staircase and the fireplace and the amazing old 1920s elevator (with the accordion gate!) - I was thrilled to be staying at this amazing hotel that was an epically frozen establishment from old times past. Front desk staff was amazing and informative.
It’s not your “average” modern hotel. Some folks might not like that but to me, that was part of the charm.
4.3
This is a unique, very cool place. The owners have given it real character. The hotel restaurant was great and perfect for travelers who neither want fast food or to search for a good meal. There is also a full bar on property that looked like a great place for someone less travel weary.
Is there any hotel off I-40 that doesn’t have traffic noise?
4.3
Love the older decor and history of the place.
Extremely small bathroom. However to be expected either the original hotel. Still a great place.
4.3
Love the ambiance; the food was amazing; the staff were friendly and helpful; the room was clean and comfortable
The gym needs updating- old equipment; no bike
4.3
everything, the whole experience
nothing

The Hotel El Rancho is wonderful. Walking into the lobby is like walking back in time to the heyday of Route 66. The room was large and comfortable. The decor reflects the time when the El Rancho was used by movie stars filming in the area around Gallup. The rooms are named for the various stars who stayed at the hotel.
The only thing I didn't like was the size of the bathroom, it was tiny.
