About this apartment rental
The apartment is located in a villa in Amalfi, in a very quiet area, and offers a sea view in one of the most scenic spots of the Amalfi Coast. From the windows and the balcony, you can enjoy both a stunning sea and the nearby former Monastery of Santa Rosa, now a luxury hotel. Amalfi is a small town, and unfortunately, parking in the historic center is hard to find and costs eight euros an hour. However, thanks to our home's location, you can park on the street for free (subject to availability upon arrival), or in a covered garage for 25/30 euros for 24 hours.
The bus stop is right outside, serving two lines, with a third line about 500 meters away, which also connects directly to Naples Airport for 20 euros per person. The house is on the first floor of a villa adorned with flowers and is easily accessible from the road with only twenty steps, a true rarity in the area, and can accommodate up to five people. All rooms have TVs, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and sea views.
Nearby, there are mini-markets, bars, and restaurants, some of which offer a free shuttle service. There are numerous beaches around, including Il Duoglio beach, which is a 20-minute stroll away. Just 900 meters away, there’s a beautiful pool, which is also known for its amazing view, accessible by foot or shuttle.
From the house, you can also enjoy lovely walks or hikes along the trails and ancient roads of the Amalfi Coast, and in 15 minutes by car or bus, you can reach the Path of the Gods. With just a five-minute walk (500 meters), you can reach the charming village of Conca to discover new scenic views or enjoy an aperitif or dinner at the romantic and charming former Monastery of Santa Rosa, which can also be seen from the house.
The location of the house is ideal for those wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast, allowing for easy travel by car or bus and avoiding the hassle of finding expensive and difficult parking in Amalfi's historic center. All the locations on the Amalfi Coast - Positano, Ravello, Vietri - and the main tourist destinations in Campania: Pompeii and Vesuvius in 45 minutes; Sorrento in 30 minutes; Naples and its airport in 75 minutes. The island of Capri can be reached from Amalfi’s port by hydrofoil or with enjoyable day boat trips.

I love it

We didn’t realize the location was not convenient. Upon arrival we looked around and found ants everywhere. We wouldn’t put our things on the floor. I found a swiffer and went around the bedroom and it was filthy. We were told there were 2 restaurants 300 steps down across the street..it was over 600. We got back and and sat down to find a hotel and ants crawled up our legs. We left immediately. The host refunded our taxes….only!

lovely location the views from the balcony where incredible! Had difficulty with recycling and when to put it out. Not sure if we where required to do the output of the garbage. Really enjoyed our stay.

This was our very first time visiting the Amalfi Coast. We loved the property and thought it offered us so much. Both bedroom's offered a private balcony and views of the sea. There was a bus stop and a market to purchase some food and other items during our stay. Unfortunately, the buses were not very reliable in terms of schedules. We ended up walking into the city twice and that was a challenging walk in the heat of the summer. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay where you can explore the town of Amalfi and other areas, this is not the best option. But it does offer a great escape from the business of the town center.
We did have a few issues with the bathroom as there was constant leaking of water from the shower. However, with an older building, you will have to deal with this type of issue.

5-stars is not enough for this property.
Sergio is a wonderful host who has amazing communication before check-in and is someone who provides all the info you need about Amalfi and getting around in a handy app that you get upon arrival.
There is a market within 5 minutes of the house that will give you almost everything you need to enjoy light meals and drinks at the house. Go early for the best bread selection.
The bus stop is steps from the house and will help you navigate all over the town.
The view of the monastery and the water are breathtaking from both the balcony and the solarium.
Definitely consider this place if you are visiting Amalfi.

The property looked amazing on photos from VRBO. Unfortunately, in person the terrace was much smaller and the road was so loud that you really could not enjoy the view. The area on the roof was falling apart. So we could not escape to that area either. The kitchen was under appointed and parking was extremely difficult. The host was very responsive as a plus. This was our first VRBO experience in Italy.

Great experience!
Host was available and helped us get checked in. He even met us at the bus!
We had a most excellent view w 2 terraces! UPPER terrace was a little run down but, u just look at that view and you forget it all!
We could have used some hand soap and a coffee maker. And, considering the service fee Annnnd cleaning fee, I would have preferred not dealing with the garbage.
Fresh flowers like in the photo would have been a nice touch and a little milk or cream
Juice etc in the fridge after hours of travel...alas, no. WE wouldl have paid more even for a little care package.
Price was good but no taxis and hard to find so far away. Transport to Amalfi by car or driver was brutal at $50 American for 10 minute drive.
Hour long wait for bus, if it comes at all! Etc etc were very very disappointed with transportation both ways.
We would go back again and do things very differently next time...like "stay longer!" and bring food/wine on arrival.

We loved this place, the views were spectacular. The space was very roomy and the kitchen is well provisioned. The roof deck was very pleasant, we spent several evenings up there. It's a bit isolated, the there is a small store within walking distance. We managed to park on the street most of the nights., but you can't leave your car on the street during the day

Good communication with the host. Parking garage was available for daily charge but was not ready when we needed to leave early in the morning after several notices. 2nd bedroom is actually a living/dining room and was not ready for us and no sheets were availble to make the futn chair into a bed. Good location and the view certainly is the biggest selling point for this place.

We had a great time. The place was nice and well equipped and the host did an effort to communicate well with us despite the language barrier. The terrace has a wonderful view. Parking was challenging because you have to reserve the parking space with someone that rents a space in a private garage about 200 or 300 mts down the road. Make absolutely sure you have this done and coordinated with the property owner before your arrival so when you arrive you park by the side of the road or at the disabled parking and you quickly drop your family and bags and continue to park the car to the private garage. Although you see cars parked on the sides of the road at times, you cannot leave the car there as it can be towed. It is a narrow road with no sidewalks. Cars and motorcycles do drive at a considerable speed so it can be stressful for drivers that are not used to this kind of roads. The bus stop is right in front of the house and the tickets can be bought at Marcellino MiniMarket down the road. No need to drive down to Amalfi, take the bus and enjoy the views. Restaurants offer shuttles to nearby areas in most cases free of charge so might want to call to get picked up and dropped off. We went to G.A.S. Bar (which is also a restaurant) and prices were decent . Food was good, service was ok.

Amazing experience
This was an excellent experience for my wife and I. We did a lot of walking. We also took taxis a lot. Be prepared for a unique driving experience in this area, if driving yourself. It is not for the faint of heart. We had no issues and it was a lot of fun. This is an excellent location for the 2 of us. I would not bring young kids to this location.

Panorama magnifico, buona struttura, ottima accoglienza
