The location is central which makes access to the main spots in the island quite easy, coupled with the excellent design and condition of the main roads. The friendliness of the people we interacted with, delicious!
Having to leave São Miguel after only 7 days…

Great service in having keys accessible for checking in. The place had very good dinnerware, cooking facilities. Excellent bedrooms with spacious bathroom and living room.

Casa da Avo Ines has all the comforts of home. All you need to bring are your essentials. The bathroom has body wash and shampoo as well as a blow dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need; a washing machine, a toaster, microwave, electric kettle, cheese grater, strainer....all the things you need to cook; all you need to buy are the ingredients.
I stayed for 2 weeks with my elderly mother, my sister, and my 9 yr old daughter. We loved how spacious it was. We all had our own room, and even when hanging out downstairs, we had plenty of space. The location is perfect! There's a great restaurant that's literally a 2 minute walk and a small supermarket with all the essentials thats a 3 minute walk. There's laundry on site and a clothesline just outside your door to hang your clothes. They also have a portable drying rack if you want to try your clothes inside or on the back porch. There were some outdoor cats (with 3 little kittens) that my daughter fell in love with. She looked forward to getting up first to feed and play with them every morning.
I would definitely stay there again. In fact, I plan on going back in about a year or two and will stay here again.

very nice, clean and comfortable accomodation, perfect equipment of the kitchen, beautiful garden
in the middle of the village so a little bit noisy (cars and dogs in the gardens around), not possible to sleep with open windows

Clean apartment, but a poor design means that a lot of space is wasted and the apartment suffers unnecessarily from feeling quite cramped. The carpet/rugs all over are tripping hazards (so we just rolled them all up) and the bed was not at all comfortable. The apartment was extremeley clean and tidy, and the kitchen was very well-equipped for preparing food. Sadly, the noise from the neighbouring apartments was not good. The friendly kitties around the property were wonderful, but overall this wouldn't be a place we'd choose to stay at in the future.

A few nice restaurants close to the property, nice beaches pretty close
Nice kitchen
Little area for eating outside
A bit loud due to the road right next to our window

Perfect for our own space when visiting our family in the village

Wonderful place to stay, wish we didn’t have to leave! The apartment has everything you could need and the host is amazing. We hope to be back!
We loved everything about it.

Nice place, Beautiful garden. A bit noisy due to streets from both side of the building but the village is small and there is not much traffic. We enjoyed the stay.

From the very first minute I felt very much at home. Very friendly , cozy apartment. Nice color, nice bathroom. I also loved staying in the kitchen, where you could see the beautiful garden, the palm tree in front of the kitchen window and many beautiful flowers. Small patio with garden table and chairs under the palm tree.Housewife Inez is a very lovely lady! The environment was great too, with a small shop nearby and a snack bar. The wonderful famous Cha Gorreana tea plantation in the neighborhood, on the other side the wonderful little town of Porto Formoso, with a very nice beach and a great restaurant. It is easy to reach the main road and explore the Island in all directions, this is a very important aspect.Very good parking.I am sure I will stay here again next time!
