Excellent location in terms of a walking holiday, a fully equipped kitchen, and double shower cubicle.
Location next to a tight corner with pub users needing to pass through to get to the pub carpark. But we got used to it and in the end didn't really notice the challenges this posed for drivers. We pulled the curtain in the lounge to provide us with privacy.

This property is small but beautifully appointed. We enjoyed a week in the cottage and found it to be cozy and comfortable. It is in an excellent location for walks around Giggleswick and trips into Settle. Everything that we needed was provided including a kitchen with plenty of utensils for cooking a meal. Of course the fact that the property is one two steps from the local pub is an added bonus!
Nothing.

A really lovely little cottage perfectly located in this beautiful village. Everything you could possibly need is provided for.

Beautiful setting
Absolutely nothing

our second stay at the cottage as it’s in the perfect location for walking, town and a pub literally on your doorstep!
hosts are just perfect with a beautiful welcome pack, cottage has everything and more you could need, it’s our little place of get away heaven and we will be coming back.
having to leave early as I was poorly we were gutted so makes us even more ready for our 3rd stay.
The only negative we found was no phone signal in the cottage apart from wifi calling… I was waiting for the doctor to call and had to have my phone outside to get reception (but that’s not really a negative it’s just a heads up)

A beautifully small but perfectly formed cottage, Ann thinks of everything, so anything you may forget to take you’ll find it there!
Would absolutely stay again and would highly recommend, not one negative to mention!
Nothing!!

Very clean, cosy, homely and well equipped with good quality kitchenwear.. Super comfortable in a great location for walking into Settle which takes 10-15 minutes on foot. It is also very central for access to superb walks such as any of the 3 peaks and more. Also only 3 yards from a lovely pub. We will definitely be looking to stay here again.
.The little storage section of the fridge (where you stand milk) was cracked making it loose which meant it couldn't be used properly without falling out.. We are sure that this will be remedied for the next visitors.

The cottage was stocked with all you needed for your stay, perfect location for our needs with a pub 7 steps away! Was also so cool during the hot weather.
Nothing

Very quiet location. Not far from the town centre(about a mile), where there is a bit of everything, butcher’s, cafes, pubs, art studios, fish shops, Indian and Italian cuisine, book shop, small supermarket
The cottage is very quaint. Very old property. Ideal size for 2-3 people. Has practically everything you would need provided in kitchen, room and bedrooms.
If you like a pub, then this will suit you, walk out of your door and you are straight in front of one. currently being refurbished, haven’t been in so can’t say if it’s a good pub or not.
There is a relaxing small settee, and you can put your feet up in a relaxing recliner chair.
Upstairs the cottage has a top of the range shower system, which is simple to use. The rooms are big enough for comfort.
The owners really have thought it through with what they provide. Wardrobes built into the wall. Small cupboards. Books, jigsaws, games.
The whole of the cottage is immaculate. From the bedsheets to the kitchen and room. The owners even took the time to call and welcome us and ask if there was anything we needed. If you enjoy walking, cycling or just relaxing, this is the place for you.
Ancient properties throughout the village of Giggleswick. The town centre of Settle just down the road. Friendly owners and locals.
A proper relaxing holiday.
We didn’t tell the owners and they would no doubt have tried to help. We found the beds a little hard, but this is personal preference. Could do with a pedal bin in the kitchen. Outside we couldn’t find our bin, so I think we might have been using the house behind us’ bin.
The drive upto the cottages is very tight, so properties behind the cottage need to have access up past the front of the cottage. Also the pub needs access. Parking is difficult as you can’t park on the drive, you need to park on the road at the bottom of the drive.
The locals realise parking is at a premium and are really easy going about it. You have to park where you can get.
If you can’t get parked there is a school car park round the corner as a last resort.

Anything we might need was provided, and all good quality. Everything was immaculately clean. The decor is perfectly tasteful and the cottage is warm, welcoming and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommend Black Horse cottage, in a pretty village, for your stay in the Dale's.
Nothing. Parking is in road rather than outside cottage, but never had a problem finding a space. No private outside area which would be lovely on a sunny day, but no-one seemed to mind when I sat on the front step with a cuppa.

It was clean and comfortable. The cutlery and crockery were good quality and the knives were actually sharp!
The location was great, a short walk from Settle, in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
The bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch.
Communication was always by telephone. I would have found email easier.
It would have been useful to have some information about local supermarkets and eateries as well as directions into Settle at the property. Luckily I had done a lot of research before we arrived but we had to figure out the easiest way to get into Settle.

Really complete and large kitchen with loads of kitchenware. Although there is no dishwasher, the sink is big and practical. The cottage was very clean up on arrival. the bathroom was modern and comfortable.
The double bed was quite small and not that comfortable for two adults. The single bed and the couches in the living room were also a bit outdated. There is no outside area, like a little bench or terrace.
