A great hotel next to the historical part of Macau

We preferred to stay next to the old colonial part of Macau and the Sofitel Macau met our expectations very well. It is a big hotel with a casino. However, as we stayed at the Club 17-th floor we felt very well taken care of. The breakfast in the club floor was very good and the happy hour service added a lot to our stay.

Everything went very well for us. Just remember to book taxis well a head of time!

Great stay at a lovely hotel with terrific staff. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful well appointed 5 Star hotel .

The “ cheap and nasty” sports bar near the lifts. Lacked class and the service was appalling. We felt this was not really part of the hotel. The other bar on the ground floor was lovely and the service was excellent and definitely is part of the hotel.

Underwhelming..not living up to a 5 star brand

Not prepared for check in even after 3 Huge crowds at check in Outdated info in room, they told planet m plus is a must see and upon checking was closed since covid Old TV sets No shuttle to Cotai strip Not very friendly staff

Classicamente lussuoso e superservito, forse con un tantino di burocrazia di troppo

Struttura con livelli di servizio molto alti, verso le 5* per i criteri italiani. Struttura vistosa e imponente, sicuramente non low profile. Impressionante numero di persone di servizio per ogni esigenza. Ottimo buffet per chi non avesse voglia o tempo di avventurarsi per Macao.

Forse il gusto europeo, soprattutto al centro-nord, ultimamente tende a privilegiare approcci più minimal, meno flamboyant. Soprattutto i processi di check in sono inutilmente lunghi e punitivi per il cliente. Il lusso è comprensibile, ma l'esperienza seamless oggi forse vale di più.

Can't wait to visit again! Amazing relaxing holiday.

Excellent service, delicious food at Restaurant Le Chinois. Staff was sincere and attentive, making us feel like Sofitel was our second home. Very grateful for their meticulous attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Great location. Best concierge I encountered this trip

Room was lux, especially like the tv that I can watch while having a bath. Location was great, a little away from the main attractions but close enough to walk. Also had great transport links for me to go to Cotai strip and further along places. Special mention of the concierge: Fred and another junior staff there. Both was so helpful and friendly, both offered to book tables or cars or whatever they think I need and answer all my queries with utmost friendliness and professionalism. Even right at the end when I was waiting to be picked up by hotel's transport to the Zhuhai/Macau custom point, Fred came to ensure I got onto the right bus. Highly recommend anyone to stay here...abit of old school glam and charm

Overpriced and underwhelmed

Every member of staff was extremely professional, friendly and welcoming. The free, regular shuttle bus to the GK bridge was excellent

I stayed over CNY when prices were ridiculously high; the room rate I paid was about 3x more than what would be a reasonable price for these average-at-best rooms. The breakfast buffet was quite good, but the dining room was too small to comfortably accommodate the hordes over CNY, meaning breakfast was stressful and noisy rather than a relaxing and calm experience. The room service menu offered a substantial wine list; sadly none of those wines were actually available - the menu needs to be updated.

Since this is the first time I have been to Macao, the exceptional service provided by Sofitel at Ponte 16 reassures me considerably. Among all the merits given by Ponte 16, none deserves more attention than its convenient location from which one could reach literally all desirable destinations.

I would like to comeback to have staycations or birthday celebrations, I had the best experience staying in this hotel.

Great service and staff. They give quite a lot of complimentary food and free bubble bath! They give me a birthday cake for my birthday stay in the hotel! Their rooms are specious and quiet.

Their air-conditioning is not cold enough, I woke up sweating.

The hotel was very charming- the pool feels quiet and relaxing, and the staff were all incredibly accommodating and spoke very good English (if you like that sort of thing). The shower in our room was great- lots of very hot water, and very strong pressure.

We loved everything :) :)
