Everything
Would love to be able to bring my tiny dog but unfortunately dogs are not allowed. (although this is pretty understandable too and wouldn’t put me off revisiting)
4.5
The grill restaurant food quality superb and the barman in tuppers bar was fantastic
Just a small thing as we got one from reception but no iron or board in room and bathroom door was glitchy wouldn’t close properly
3.0
Breakfast was nice, the grounds are spectacular and the dogs are friendly. They offer a variety of spots to eat and offer a a wide variety of drinks and food. Rooms are spacious and offer nice views.
Ate in the grill bar and the burger was average at best. Considering the price you pay for the burger I’d have expected a lot better. Charging bottle water without offering tap is poor. If people ask for still water, staff must offer tap or bottled water. Waited 15 minutes to pay the bill…customer service should have been better.

Fantastic location, clean rooms great facilities and staff were fantastic.
Simple really 14Euros for a pint of lager and 17 for a glass of wine. That’s just taking the you know what.

The pool and gym were a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel, but still lovely

Beautiful property. Breakfast is great, good choice. The Grill restaurant was our favourite although each restaurant offered great food. The manager was so nice there as were all staff. Pool was very busy with a lot of children, this is to be expected during Easter mid term. Still very enjoyable. Our room was conveniently located next to the pool but it’s a good distance away from the lift. No major problem, just something to note. The grounds are fabulous, lovely walks. The dog that greeted us at reception was absolutely gorgeous. Doormen were very helpful, friendly and obliging. Rituals products in bathroom smell lovely and you get some bath salts for a nice relaxing bath. The blackout curtains are brilliant, had a great sleep because of them.
Spa thermal suite is small and not worth the €25pp charge, there’s a nice jacuzzi in the hotel pool which is just as relaxing. Also, if you’re pregnant you can’t use any of the facilities even the spa pool, it would have been great if they had mentioned this when I contacted to try to book maternity treatments but they didn’t!!
Check in isn’t until 4, which is quite late. There’s no point arriving early as rooms won’t be ready. Lots of people were waiting on their room with us. The lobby is a lovely space to sit and wait though, beautiful art work all around and the resident dog was entertaining people.
The fan in room 147 was very loud when it kicked in which was every so often during the day and night. Once it was on it was grand but the initial start up sound woke us up a few times- possibly something maintenance could fix.
