Passable

This is an old villa that has been converted into a hotel but is not so adapted to the modern visitor. The villa and the yard around it are not well maintained, the rooms are on the first floor, 25 stairs, no elevator and you have to carry your luggage upstairs alone. There are not enough sockets in the rooms to charge electronic devices (phone, iPad, etc.). However , it is suitable for the price and a night's stop on the way.

An old country inn with kind owners

The staff and owners were very kind. The bathroom was huge and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast and breakfast venue were very nice. We didn’t swim in the pool, but we did sit out by the pool to drink wine. It’s a short drive to restaurants and to the Busaco Forest. Lovely grounds. Very quiet country inn experience.

The room felt a bit cold and dark. Maybe some lighter furnishings would help change that mood. This is a small thing as the rest was as expected and as advertised (which is that it’s an old country inn).

Great visit, close to the Bussaco Palace and National Forest

This beautiful property is run by a very, very sweet couple. We only stayed one night as a quick stop so we could visit the Bussaco National Forest and Palace, and it was perfect. The grounds were gorgeous, they had a little swing set and slide for our 2 year old son to play on, breakfast was delicious, and the hosts recommended a great restaurant in Luso for dinner. Wish we would have been there for warmer weather to enjoy the pool! Next time!

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful Quinta in Luso surrounded by nature.

This is our 2nd stay at Vila Duparcky. We loved the bedroom and the balcony to the garden that it has. Also, breakfast is huge, very filling for a day in the forest like I did with my husband. The owners are amazing and helpfull.

Old Mansion near Bussaco Palace and Gardens

Nice night in an old mansion in a huge park. Lovely owners. Interesting old spa town and near the Bussaco Palace and gardens which are wonderful to visit.

Nice retro villa, room, and spaces. Very clean and good location with restaurants around.

Even though the breakfast was very good. The night before the manager/owner asked us what specific things we wanted, for example: A croissant? Or white bread? or wheat bread? I felt limited, I understand they wanted to have an idea of what to serve but I felt restricted specially after trying to ask for more bread.

I will return

The lodging, a confortable, well built and beautiful centenary house, it's gardens and landscape. The hospitality of the Hosts.

I want to return, and would just suggest vaccum the swimmimng pool more frequently. I swam whenever I wanted without any constrain. The road access to the house needs a little maintenance. No major issues in any of these cases.

It was a lovely house, large bedroom, exceedingly friendly owners. We really enjoyed the pool and the breakfast.

Exceptional

Charming house in beautiful Luso, very close to Buçaco forest. Family ran business, very friendly and helpful owners. The room was magnificent, beautiful decoration, clean and very comfortable. Great breakfast too.

The downside was that we only stayed for one night.
