A very bad experience

My family and I recently stayed at the Blue Radisson in a junior suite for one night with our one-year-old twin daughters. While the hotel has some positive aspects, our overall experience was extremely disappointing. On the positive side, the location of the hotel is excellent, as it is close to everything and just one tram stop away from the zoo. Additionally, the staff in the restaurant and at breakfast were very friendly, nice, and helpful, which we appreciated during our stay. Unfortunately, the positives were overshadowed by several significant issues. We were appalled by the lack of cleanliness and overall state of the room. There was a disgusting odor emanating from the bathroom pipes, and the room itself had debris like wood and paper on the floor (see photos). Several items in the room were broken, including a large hole in the floor and broken wooden panels. There were coffee stains on the wall, which were clearly not cleaned and highlighted the room's overall dirtiness. Our daughters crawled around the room, and their bodysuits ended up with brown marks that disgusted us (see photos). These were not food stains but something they picked up from the dirty floor. Additionally, there were no slippers provided in the room for the swimming pool, which was an inconvenience. This was another example of the hotel failing to meet the standard we expected from a four-star establishment. We had requested baby cots from the hotel, and they assured us they had them available. However, if I had known what they would provide, I would have brought our own. One of the baby cots was broken, with foam coming out of the frame. I found one of my babies with foam in her mouth in the morning. At the restaurant, we found the high chairs to be in need of repair, as the straps to secure the babies were broken, which made them unsafe. This was concerning as our daughter almost fell out of the chair.

Nie wieder. Danke für zwei Nächte in Gluthitze.

Nettes Personal und Frühstück war auch gut.

Die Klimaanlage hat sehr schlecht gekühlt, wir konnten fast nicht schlafen. Die Badezimmer haben keinen Abzug, also ist es dort schwül und sehr warm. Im WC hatte es noch Haare, würg!

Tha only good thing for the hotel is the location and except location everything disgrace.

Rooms wee dirty and everything in the room was out of order or service. Employees are rude and ignorant. They want me to pay the fee two times.

Room for a little improvement

Reception area, staff great, nice indoor pool. Good room.

Room cleaning & restocking poor this time. Bottles of water replenished after a call to reception, but coffee wasn’t. The floor not vacuumed as gritty underfoot, my travel cup & tea bags were thrown away by housekeeping. No English TV channels anymore, just news.

Nice hotel nice staff which value to money.

Nice staffs who could help us for everything include the very comfort and connecting rooms. We ask for late check out on my last day and the staff could help us for 1 room complimentary. This is more than my expectations.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Lage ist fantastisch

Sauberkeit, im Schrank des Zimmers fanden wir gebrauchte Socken von einem Vorgänger/in Pool: Garderobe u d die Kästen müssten dringend Mal geputzt werden, überall finden sich Haare Frühstück: die gekochten Speisen waren überhaupt nicht gut, schmeckte als wäre altes/billiges Öl verwendet worden

Perfekte Lage für einen Städtetrip

Super Lage für einen Städtetrip nach Basel. Das Hotel ist sauber und komfortabel. Check-in kann man vorab online schon machen und Preis/Leistung ist super.

Das Badezimmer war extrem klein!! Und auch das Parkhaus ist sehr eng, würde da eher das öffentliche Parkhaus in der nähe empfehlen. Persönlich, fand ich, dass ich zu viele E-Mails erhalte habe um mich vorher online einzuchecken.

Séjour pour découvrir la ville de Bâle

Nous avons eu la chance d'être surclassés dans une suite et de plus nous avons eu accès à la chambre dès 10h00 alors que normalement les chambres sont dès 15h00. Nous avons également eu l'accès au parking dès 10h00. La suite était magnifique et très calme.

nice little getaway.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was accommodating, we were able to check in 30 min early, and they provided complementary breakfast due to broken fridge. Convenient location!

Fridge was broken in the room, and would be great if there was a real coffee maker instead of kettle/instant coffee.

Lo recomiendo en Basilea

Ubicación (entre la estación central y el centro de Basilea). Habitación confortable, cama cómoda. Todo está limpísimo. Destacar a Gisele del staff que nos recibió en la piscina y es amabilísima.

Vom Hotel (Führung) sind wir enttäuscht.

Ganz schlechter Geruch im ersten Zimmer, umziehen in ein schlechtes Zimmer, und dann wieder Geruchsprobleme! Im Restaurant ist zu wenig Personal, wir haben 4x keinen sauberen Tisch gefunden! Das Buffet am 24. Dezember war simpel und nicht gut. Das ist alles nicht 4Sterne!!

Sehr erholsam, fühlte sich wie ein Miniurlaub an

Ich hatte zwei Zimmer gebucht, diese waren modern und ästhetisch eingerichtet, insbesondere das Bad war sehr schön. Die Betten waren super bequem. Auch wenn wir Pool und Sauna dieses Mal nicht nutzen konnten, hat uns das Ambinente gut gefallen. Das Frühstückbuffet war exzellent, das Personal zuvorkommend und freundlich.

In einem Zimmer hatte es wohl vorher einen Wasserschaden gegeben, die Decke war zwar mittlerweile trocken, dennoch bröckelte der Putz in großen Stücken herab. Ebenfalls hingt der Duchhaken aus der Wand heraus - das hätter man vor dem Bezug reparieren müssen! Das zweite Zimmer war hingegen einwandfrei.

Ein kurzer Inlandsstädtetrip

Die zentrale Lage.

Das Schwimmbad war teilweise geschlossen, ohne das eine Kompensation angeboten wurde . Wir haben dem Hotel wegen des Schwimmbades den Vorzug vor anderen Häusern gegeben.

Magic Momments

Zimmer war sehr zukomment leider das Bad Zimmer eng. Ein wonderbares Frühstück un den Personal war Spitze liebe grusse von uns allen an John richtig top arbeit.

Das Nacht essen entspricht leider nicht das was das Ganzen Pracht sonst zu anbietten habe. Zwei vom drei Essen war Kalt und Für Fr. 38.00 für 3 Krevetten ist leider nicht angebracht.

room was tiny and old. they put some new furniture in, but not really renovated. It „looked“ fancy but wasnt. Bathroom was really small and with a bathtub? (rather place a shower)

Gran ubicación para conocer la zona

Ubicación perfecta tanto para visitar la ciudad como para desplazarse por los alrededores. Tranvía en la puerta y estación de tren a 5 minutos caminando.

El grifo a veces olía un poco a cañería.

Habitación amplia Buena ducha Incluye la basel card,que permite usar todo tipo de transporte dentro de la ciudad,sin límites y 50% de descuento en la entrada de algunos museos.

Había reservado habitación con 2 camas y me dieron una con cama doble y no tenían otra habitación disponible.

Ok. Könnte aber besser sein. Frühstück ist das Geld nicht wert.

Fitnessangebot ist sehr gut. Modernes, schönes Bad, wenn die Dusche sauber und repariert wäre. Größe der Zimmer sehr gut.

Schimmel in der Dusche. Duschkopf nicht dicht. Wasser spritzte gegen die Decke. Obwohl die Zimmer als schalldicht angegeben waren, war es nachts sehr laut. Man hörte die Nachbarn auf beiden Seiten. Frühstück überschaubar für 32 Franken pro Person und Tag. Am Pool roch es in einer Ecke stark nach Urin.

Tolles Hotel, werde aber erst wieder kommen wenn auch Barzahlung möglich ist.

Alles Tipp Topp. Freundliches Personal. Sauber und gut gelegen. Gute Anbindung für öffentliche Verkehrsmittel.

Leider ist in diesem Hotel keine Barzahlung möglich. Nicht einmal für das Frühstück. Schriftverkehr-Kommunikation leider nur in Englisch.

Très bon séjour dans un magnifique hôtel très bien placé.

L emplacement, le calme (n avions pas la chambre côté rue principale), la classe de l hôtel, le personnel très avenant.

Un peu déçu que la piscine (très grande) ne soit pas plus chaude et que le spa soit nudiste. Ne nous sommes pas senties à l aide d y aller…. Dommage….
