Lovely room on corner of 4th floor - an interesting shape with sofa area.
We had requested Parking but we’re told on arrival it was full.

Location was great very central to Heidelberg and all local amenities.
No air con!!! A fan was supplied which was welcome but not the same.
2.5 / 5.0
The location was super central for access to means of transport, sights and shops. The room was big and clean. The bathroom was exceptional. The staff really tried to help with everything and responded to all our requests for improvement.
The location - super noisy throughout the day and night. Trams screeching, cars, buses, pedestrians. A couple of hours in the middle were maybe quieter. No air conditioning meant we had to open windows so we didn't really sleep. You cannot offer this room at that price without Aircon. It's impossible to be in there in the warm German summer. The light-coloured curtains did not keep the bright sunshine from 6am out of the room. We were given a camping bed with an inflatable mattress for our 3rd person for the first night - completely unacceptable. It was changed after complaining for the 2nd night, but it shouldn't have happened at all. Lots of little things didn't leave a good impression - slightly damp towels on first day, some were changed the 2nd day because we were told they didn't have any clean towels the first day, nor extra pillows. They brought new towels on the 2nd day and they took some back again 5 minutes later because they didn't have enough...We got everything in the end, but after difficulties. Staff wanted to help, but either couldn't or didn't know how to. We didn't like the idea of the hotel being unattended and unstaffed at night. When I asked who could I call in case of emergency or if something was needed I was given the hotel number, a German landline which could not be contacted via WhatsApp or similar internet-based providers. I was told we could call the police if absolutely necessary. Overall, both hotel and staff have many positives but they lose also on many points, some details, some more serious.

Excellent location, close to train station. Room was clean, included a refrigerator, and beds very comfortable.
Not the fault of the property, but staying in a room without air conditioning during hot summer days was very uncomfortable for us. (I didn't realize so many German hotels are not air-conditoned.) A large fan was provided in the room (which was nice) and you could open the windows. So after 11pm there was nice air flow and we slept great.

Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious, location is perfect, 20 min walk away from anything you might want to do
Pillow was very thin, so if you have neck problems and need more support maybe let staff know

The best part of the stay was the reception staff who were very helpful with most issues and questions.
I liked that my room was large and included a hotpot for tea/coffee. I did not like that the room was down several long hallways through two doors and stairs. It was on the first floor and had lovely large windows, but the view was of the building next to it and the alley where laundry and supplies were brought in and out. Basically, my view was into the bathroom of the next door building and the room was dark because all sunlight was blocked by the building next door. I asked immediately if I could change rooms and the clerk showed me several others that were much smaller, without a hotpot and without much of a view either.
This area of the hotel was very cold. The radiators in the hall were not working and the one in my room gave off little heat. I actually had to use a space heater the whole time I was there in late december 2022. The temps were in the teens during my stay. Another major issue was the fact that the promised wifi was not working 3 days of my stay which was a huge problem due to online work meetings scheduled during that time.
Also, I find it petty to not place a hotpot in every room or offer a free coffee/tea bar somewhere in the hotel. Most people want to be able to wake up and have a cup of coffee or tea without having to go outside to obtain it. I believe this is done to force people to pay for the hotel's $12 daily breakfast. After living in Germany for several years I know the food offered at breakfast is not for me.
I had lived and worked in Heidelberg in the past and was excited to return for a visit. I chose this hotel due to location, rating and the promised wifi. I was very disappointed in this hotel and would not recommend it to others.

Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had in a hotel, ever. Cereal, various types of bread/toast with cheese/ham/jams etc, yogurts, a wide selection of fresh fruit, pastries, a varied hot selection of local sausages and scrambled eggs, even delicious smoked trout! Wonderful. and staff very helpful and friendly.

Large rooms.
One of the rooms was obviously not prepared after our check-in was even delayed after 5pm s.t. the rooms can be prepared.
When one of the rooms was still not ready until 8pm, we had to change to a smaller room, which smelled badly. The amount for our downgrade still didn't not arrive on my account even 2 weeks after the stay.

Great value for money, with a modern and clean room.
We were woken by the loud voices and noises of the cleaning team outside our door before 8am and were therefore dissapointed not to be able to enjoy a sleep-in.

I loved the location, and the staff, but it was smack in the middle of the city center so no windows could be opened other wise the noise would prevent any sleep.

Location was excellent as was the room.
There was a strange vibration coming through the room which meant I took a long time to get to sleep. When I woke up it had stopped.
