Roberto, Perna, Antonio, and Isreal were amazing staff members. We felt very comfortable with them on a daily bases. You have gems with these people. The location and ocean, seawater, and rocks were amazingly beautiful.
Maria's dinner was not good. We were so disappointed that we canceled our 2nd-night dinner. The pool was warm to hot water. It felt more like a hot tub than a swimming pool. The sales pressure for timeshare and future stays was excessive. We were there to relax, not to be pressed for commitments on future stays. This was way over the top and may make the difference in whether we will visit again, or not. The birds were annoying and smelly. Some of the walkways to units were covered in bird feces. They were being painted rather than pressure washed.

location and secluded beach
dirty. overpriced. incredibly dated. inattentive staff. poor accommodations for the price. this place is a 2 star, not 4 or 5.

Rooms too small. Water pressure to low and not enough restaurants

There is group of sooty tern birds come back to the island to lay eggs in May every year, and we met them, they are so so precious. But then you feel bad, because you know you live in sooty tern birds' home, you are the guests. And, as human guests, you built a big hotel which covers most of the island, that squeezed the space for those lovely birds.
1. There is no good/big enough beach in this island.
2. There is only one small swimming pool in this hotel.
3. The room floor is very wet at night, because of the high humidity, sometimes even the daytime the floor keeps wet.
4. There is a big sales team there, if you agree to get one free gift/service but in exchange you need to listen to their presentation, it will spend you more than 2 hours, so in the end you cannot enjoy your vacation.
5. The telephone line is always busy, you can never make a reservation in their restaurants by phone.
6. The pool closes at 7:30pm but the towel places close at 5pm.

La Marias staff is very nice.
The beach is small, though the bay is wonderful.
Easy golf cart rental.
Rooms are outdated in the Villas. We had a Deluxe Villa Ocean Front Up, though is has a small room, a very small bathroom and the shower was in a V, which made it even smaller.
Drinks are watered down on the beach. There are no signs for anything, constantly have to guess where anything is on the 1st day. It's a small property, so after the 2nd day is ok, but it does not make for a pleasant arrival.
Staff is constantly asking about the Mia Club, to become a member, and to attend a presentation.
Small things would have made our stay much more enjoyable. for how to get back to the lobby, Coffee Shop, and Spa. Nobody mentioned it to us at check-in.Buffet food is old and could have been so much better with a little more attention.

Beautiful location and excellent service
The bathroom needed some repair work or modernising

Breakfast was great , the place does nothing but push time shares. At least 4 staff hovering in lobby all times to pressure you. Our sink was broke, slider door was wore out, they use some
Kind of rubberized sheets and pillows. The people were very nice, just doing what they are told. Would not go back or recommend. Very overpriced . Much better places at way less money.

The scenery was amazing and the staff very nice and helpful!
The property is ran down and could benefit from significant improvements. Starting with the bridge wooden pillars, some are very eroded by water causing potential safety issues.

stunning location on the north part of the island with the waves of the Mexican gulf below the hotel. only guests are allowed on the top island.
service was wonderful, everybody keen on helping out- specifically Abraham!
the resort is so worn down, feels like a charter hotel from 1980. pillows felt like plastic, the mattress was brown of mold. you could hear everything from the neighbours and the door had glitches.
the food also needs an update as the common areas. outside showers didn’t work.

Staff was exceptional - Beach is beautiful - the Main Dining Room Food was superb - the other two Restaurants not worth the trouble to book a reservation

Can’t beat the location
I have stayed before and didn’t realize there is such a big difference between the same type of room. I had a much better room last time. The room was fairly noisy and one of our neighbors was smoking in their room daily even though this is a smoke free resort. The bed was also not very comfortable this time. Last time none of this was an issue. I was on a different floor.

The location is beautiful and inviting. Close to everything and easy walk to town or short inexpensive cab ride to whatever you want to see. The staff is a lot of fun and good at what they do. The restaurant that you have to make reservations for was awesome! This was the only place that I was able to have dessert as the chef made me an apple tart that was gluten, dairy and nut free.
There was a lot of construction/ renovations being done so it was quite noisy a lot of the time. Hammering early in the morning and throughout the day while people are trying to relax. The food was ok. Not a lot to choose from if you have a gluten allergy. They do not accompany for celiac. And most things also have dairy or nuts. Only one pool and one bar which closes relatively early. Lunch service doesn’t begin until 1 and there was only one restaurant that was actually open during the day. They are renovating the ceveche place so they had it set up by the main dining room.

the staff was amazing: Juan, Jesus, Miguel, Karla, Isabel and everybody!
service was outstanding!
the beach was always clean and location is great!
music was too loud, came from 2 directions, and acoustic was horrible . and too many noise in general due to tons of activities they have.
also the food , specially at evening was not good.

The location is absolutely beautiful. it sits on its own little island.
The beds are not comfortable at all and there’s pathways that are unsafe for walking. My Godmother tripped and fell on a wooden board.
