Location close to the golf course
Room was dirty particularly the bathroom and there was a mouse trap in the room, the grouting around the bath/shower was mouldy and the floor was collapsing in a number of places only the torn and very worn carpet held it in place, when all this was mentioned to staff we were told there were no alternative rooms available however when we looked on Bokking.com we had a choice of room types

The staff were very friendly and helpful . The restaurant was fine, the food was good and not expensive
The hotel is very tired and really needs renovation. The bed was very uncomfortable as it was so old. For the amount I paid it was disappointing . I paid the same amount for this hotel as I would have done for a premier inn.

Comfortable room and friendly staff. Ideal for one night stopover for work.

Comfy bed in large room.
Breakfast ok at a very busy time.
Reception very helpful on check-in.
Bathroom dated - needs attention, sink taps etc.

Easy to find, convenient location, comfortable room with all facilities expected. Everything on site for the tired and hungry traveller. Decent breakfast and fast service for checking in/out.
Its a big multi purpose location so it lacks a personal feel - big function rooms etc. not in use so it felt a bit unwelcoming. Could do with a bit of a spruce up, decor a bit tired and a generally unloved feel to the place. The poor old bar staff were under pressure and it showed....
Don't expect a cosy, relaxed dining experience - its Hungry Horse chain so you get what you pay for, reasonable value for money but no frills

When we made comments regarding the issues in the room the staff put them right.
When we arrived, the room had not been vacuumed, there was a light shade missing from a wall light.
During the night there were people constantly going outside and talking so we did not get much sleep and the corridor the next morning smelled strongly of weed.

Only 10 mins from the ferry, in a quiet location, easy to find and no problem with very late check- in. Large comfortable bedroom. Kind helpful lady on reception. Great to have a bath as well as a shower.
It would have been nice to have a directional shower as well as a fixed one, but everything was very good really.

Location & friendly staff
We have stayed in this hotel many times. This Room was big .but no light switch beside beside. Room 200. Also think it's not wired right. Had trouble with bathroom light. The entrance could be cleaned up ..

Staff very welcoming and friendly and the location and parking facilities are great. Breakfast was very well cooked, presented and good value.
Noisy, regrettably was kept awake between 1:30am and 3:30am by returning guests and then again after 5:30am by traffic and vehicle noise outside.
Room was cold and poorly equipped (no seat although plenty of room) and fittings were broken, dirty/dusty. The Towel rail was leaking when switched on and the water in the shower was tepid even at the maximum setting.

I thought it was excellent, facilities were fine and the food offerings were excellent and good value for money. The staff were all friendly and very helpful.

Convenient proximity to Brittany Ferry port and my onward journey Staff were friendly, efficient and obliging. Parking on site was much appreciated - we were comfortable. Thank you.
Everything was fine and we will stay again.

not much
run down, heating in room not working, food of poor quality

The staff were friendly and there is plenty of parking, decent pub food downstairs.
Filthy sticky carpet, old lumpy mattress with even lumpier pillows, room and en-suite generally run down and in need of a refurb

The bed was very comfortable.
Service in the restaurant was good and fast
There was a function on Saturday night which was very loud until midnight but it was quiet after this.
The breakfast was not very good.
The hot water was exceptionally hot and as the bath taps were very hard to turn I felt at risk of scolding myself. The sink water temperature was also far too hot.

Location was perfect for us and the staff were all lovely. Great sports bar and even though we didn't eat in the restaurant it all looked so lovely.
Unfortunately right outside our bedroom window was a smoking area for delivery drivers so we couldn't really get some fresh air in most of the time. The bed springs were prominent in some areas so we had to wiggle around to find a good spot.

out of the way of the centre but close to a retail park. peaceful and comfortable.
4.5 / 5.0
Quiet. Best night's sleep for weeks
4.0 / 5.0
All that you need in one place. Secure parking, shops nearby and a pub/restaurant in the same building.
Quality of food was lacking as often undercooked and minimal portions. No anti-slip mats in bathroom making it hazardous.
