The room was well decorated, comfy bed and it was clean. Reception/lounge/breakfast area all rolled into one is clean and appears to have been recently re vamped throughout.
Located next to a landfill site there was a slight issue with flies. It looks as if it's closed until you go around the side. I'm assuming it has recently been bought after a long time empty. Full breakfast wasn't hot although the sausages and bacon were good, the sausage looked anemic. Staff are friendly, but seem a little unprofessional on reception (often unmanned) and at the bar, no lemonade, limited selection of drinks and served in whatever glass they happen to have. I feel they have a lot of work to do to bring this up to an acceptable standard.

Size of the room, clean & comfortable bed, clean towels. Staff very friendly, feel sorry for them, the complaints they must have to deal with.
Awful place, surprised you have it available to book. Looks derelict from the outside, loads of windows open to disguise damp smell all thru the hotel. Leak in the corridor with a bucket underneath it, bucket had clearly been allowed to overflow. Lamp hanging of the wall, stains on carpet. Room needed some tlc. Shower very poor, nearly unusable. Place needs knocking down & starting again. Fair to say we won't be back.

Very comfortable bed, clean and very quiet area. The staff are lovely and very friendly. The interior decor was really nice too. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a tasty, freshly cooked English breakfast. There are other options for breakfast too if you didn't want a full English, the pastries were delicious and there were cereals, toast and lot of other choices. Great place to stay and great value for money.

Inside was a lot better than expected as the outside made the place looked closed. Lovely room and bathroom. No food on the night but a pub over the road that serves food. Bar area nice and comfy. Staff were really nice.
The out look on to a roof that's had seen better days. And you can hear upstairs moving around.

Staff were friendly despite not getting requests addressed.
The carpet has stains and marks on, asked for clean towels daily as these were not brought to the room or replaced and the beds were not changed during the 7 day stay. Bins were not emptied, and had to be emptied by myself and put outside.

Large comfortable bed
Noisy unsound proofed rooms. TV didn’t work. Poor facilities. Awful shower.

The bed was comfortable enough
The bathroom was disgusting, black mould everywhere, including on the ceiling. Clearly had not been cleaned around the taps in a long time and smelled of stale smoke.
Breakfast charged at £10 per head not worth it, English breakfast looked as though it had been left under heat lamps for too long and so seemed overcooked and lukewarm at the same time. The only item on the plate cooked fresh was the egg. The continental breakfast was sparse at best, 3 mini shop bought croissants under cling film and some small boxed cereals.
Will NOT be staying again, avoid if you can

Nothing
Run down from the outside
Tired and grubby hallways and stairs
Bed was uncomfortable
Shower above bath was barely tall enough to stand in
Cobwebs around the room
Staff watched an elderly lady try and carry her bag up a flight of stairs after not being given the ground floor room she booked (my partner carried her bag for her!)

Bed, mattress too soft.

The bed was hard and the pillows were awful.

Nothing
smashed window held together with sellotape in bedroom.
bathroom full of mould/ cigarette buds all over steps in entrance.
I emailed the hotel which I was shocked at their reply. I have photographs which I also attached to my email.
First response was asking if I had made staff aware of the issues.
which I did
Then a poor excuse for the cigarette ends…ie/ we cannot help who drop cigarettes buds. which I also said in my email however a bin outside would help.
I have had no response with regards to the broken window and mould in bathroom
Very disappointed

Nothing at all. horrendous.
It was the worst stay in my life, i’d rather sleep in my car than this horrid hotel. i was in a room joint to another room with twin beds. me and my partner were opposite sides of the room.. the tv didn’t even work????? the room was disgraceful. all mouldy, broken spider webs.. the room was extremely hot; to the point you could barely breathe. luckily my partner had his portable fan in his car so we used that. THE BATHROOM.. looks like it’s never been cleaned thank god i didn’t need a shower because ID PROBABLY END UP DIRTIER THAN I WAS TO BEGIN with!!
I stayed here twice first time was also horrible. i took images of all the spiders in the room and multiple other insects and a huge spider in the bathtub. this time we left at 5am, they refused to refund us whatsoever. So thought to give another try considering there was NO other hotel available except some at extortionate prices (150+)
Absolutely regret it.
all night the ceiling was creaking, clearly people don’t sleep these days, ALL night and it was so loud it woke me and my partner up multiple times in an fright thinking the ceiling might give in.
THE SMELL OF GAS in the car park is so bad!
and to top it off the lazy person on the desk decided to go for a stroll into the back instead of checking people in so us and others were just waiting around for extremely long until we rang off the phone to get his attention.
In short terms, if you want a NORMAL hygenic and normal temperature sleep . avoid this disgraceful hotel. you’ll thank me later
