Good value. Room was decent and breakfast OK. Lovely quiet location.
No one on reception at arrival c 7pm. Had to phone reception to get someone to come after waiting 5 mins. Rooms in my block had paper thibn walls so could hear neighbours use of toilet, shower, TV etc

It was a good stay, across 2 nights, 2nd morning breakfast was excellent, unfortunately, 1st night, breakfast next morning was poor !
It was like staying in a different hotel from 1st night to 2nd ! 2nd morning breakfast was amazing, service, public areas (i.e, ladies loos actually had toilet rolls!)

The room was amazing! We were upgraded to the room with a four poster bed, a roll top bath and a huge shower. The room looked out onto an immaculate garden and veg plot, complete with scarecrow.
The breakfast was lovely and the staff attentive and friendly. We would recommend and return again.

Fabulous location to explore the Thames path.
Plentiful parking.
Lovely pub and setting. Garden looked great but it was too cold to sit outside.
One of our party had to cancel for legitimate reasons and the cancellation fee was waived.
Very comfy bed.
Great Burgers.
Not enough staff to cater for guests: Tables not cleared in bar. Slow service. Didn't stay for breakfast as unimpressed day before.
Cobwebs in bedrooms.
Very basic room - expensive for what it was.

Lovely little room in old part of the inn. Full size bathroom downstairs and a bedroom tucked up in the eaves.
Could do with a mirror in the bedroom.
3.5
Nice pub with rooms and a good choice of beers in the bar. Breakfast was good although choice was a tad limited
There were no grab rails in the shower and it was a tad difficult getting in and out of the shower I had. Housekeeping was circumspect where the bed making consisted of straightening the duvet cover and nothing else.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room with a rolled top bath in the bedroom.
Food generally excellent especially the choice at breakfast.
Poached eggs were too hard, not runny at all.

Pub was cosy with very good food. Staff were very helpful nothing was too much trouble. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was very comfortable
The room would have benefited from having a small chair

The room was lovely and bright, with complementary bottled water, and the bed was very comfortable. The pub had a huge beer garden and a good sized car park.
The breakfast service could have been a bit better - although we went for breakfast a little late (it was Saturday) there were no glasses for the water or dishes for the cereal. Although I asked for a cereal bowl, only 1 was brought out, and there were 3 of us. My Millennial kids didn't want me to ask for more, but it shouldn't really have been necessary...

The grounds the building the restaurant
The shower/bathroom needs updating looking tired

Location and beautiful buildings
Rooms clearly not checked regularly.
Staff all very young and clearly no training or willingness to assist.
2.5
The parking .
Good standard of breakfast included in my room rate.
Good location for my needs. In leafy small village.
The standard room I was allocated no 44 has been refurbished with good standard of bed. Clean new bedding and pillows. Bedside tables wardrobe. Easy chair. Lick of paint and modern light fittings has been applied to the walls but generally looked tired on window sills and skirting boards and doors. the room key / lock was difficult to open and needs replacing. Very old key system. The bathroom needs re fitting. Whilst the pressure of the shower was good the floor of the shower is disintegrating and breaking up and looks dirty as it’s eroding away.
One set of towels like new and lovely. Second days towels very worn and should be no longer used.
Staff in restaurant at breakfast all very young and no awareness of customer service … pushing in front of you when moving around tue restaurant ,not able to complete requests as they clearly didn’t have a manager on hand for support and have not been trained.
One young man barged through the front door coming towards me of the hotel carrying laundry as I was walking through the front door .

It was somewhere to stay for the 2 nights required.
I didn't like the fact we couldn't pay for our stay with cash !! And if you wanted to have a drink in the bar you could use cash, but needed to be the exact money. We went up the road to the rising sun !

The location was beautiful: stunning gardens
The cold buffet of fruit and cheeses was fine apart from the bread : it would have been nice to have nicer bread ; I thought the hot buffet was only average ; it would have been nice to have a choice of eggs as I don’t eat sausages or bacon ;
The breakfast staff on the Saturday morning 2 young gentlemen were a bit surly : didn’t smile or say good morning or goodbye or anything; but were polite in getting what you wanted :

the location was perfect and Marlow was only a 10 minute drive
it’s was a surprise trip away for my wife and I paid extra for a luxury double room which unfortunately didn’t have any hot water, a total disaster

poor value for money. would have expected more considering we paid £175 a night

Great location, beautiful building, friendly and professional staff.
General presentation of rooms - this hotel has such potential but it’s not quite meeting them.
Restaurant and bar need to be reimagined. Both are a bit old fashioned and generally attract older clientele.

We stayed in a beautiful room in The Malt. Couldn’t fault it at all, everything was lovely.

very dog friendly and they don’t charge extra unlike everywhere else I stay. staff always friendly though bar staff can sometimes be conspicuous by their absence 😀 great breakfast
nothing to complain about

We have stayed several times so i think that speaks volumes, my only coment would be that we had a large room with 2 double beds in but only 1 bedside lamp, another would have been good and there is no mirror in the room its self, there is a dressing table with plug sockets for hair dryer, tongs ect but no mirror to do your hair or make up and no full length mirror , i know there is one in the bathroom but one at least in the room would be usefull. other than that we will return.

room was shabby, paintwork chipped & shower screen needs a good clean. the shower had no pressure
