Access to the spa facilities.
No USB port in the room to charge devices .

The young lady on reception was a joy for a weary traveller, such a brilliant front facing member of staff for the hotel.
Tasty food and equally pleasant waiting & bar staff
The accommodation was dingy, carpets in hallways and stairs dirty and sticky, lots of cobwebs and dust in the room.

Quiet and cosy

The male staff were absolutely great, the place was clean and comfortable. Bath was huge.
The female receptionists were lacking in customer service. For example, we had discussed going swimming in the evening and had the time slots but failed to tell us we were only allowed in before 9. Our group was supposed to have a discount as there was a few of us, noone knew anything about it any time I called. Booked about 4 months in advance to discover no discount as discussed or offers yet every time you log onto wifi it brings up all special offers.
Paid quite alot per head for buffet to have 2 bowls of chips. Drinks were dear.

Clean and friendly. Spa facilities wonderful
Not a great food choice and at breakfast we had to wait for food to be refilled in the buffet warmer. By which time it was gone as soon as it was put out. They didn't seem to put enough out for the number of guests

The best part about the hotel was the leisure facilities this is the main reason for our visit and the breakfast buffet absolutely amazing 10 out of 10 the hotel was very clean lovely and warm and not far from bury so we enjoyed the market.
I didn't like how regimented they were with the leisure facilities and how they now limited it to 1 visit per stay when we last came you could go in as much as you wanted and we went morning and afternoon and we bring out own towels. And they were very acward at letting us in saying we needed passes and to fill forms in which I found a bit annoying when we've paid over £200 to stay just to use the leisure facilities.

Convenient to work
Creaking floorboards from room above

The staff is friendly and the hotel rooms are fine. The rest of the hotel could do with an update. The best thing about the stay was the included visit to the health club, pool and spa, which is excellent (although not part of the actual hotel but separately run). Two large warm and cold pools, Several jacuzzies and two saunas. Really top class.
The hotel is a bit dated and could do with an update, especially along the corridors and stairs.

lovely area, room was fantastic and massive!!
nothing that we didn’t like!

The breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. The grounds of the hotel were attractive.
I would have liked to have wholemeal rather than brown bread and for the orange juice to have had much more flavour.

Once you get onto the grounds of the property it feel tucked away from the chaos of the town
Run down crumbling wall in car park, old fashioned the pictures on booking.com make it look a lot more modern our room looked nothing like any of the 120 pictures displayed. Also there was a wedding party on we could hear music until 12am and the wedding guests constantly running in and out past our window or screaming and shouting in the corridors

the room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. we had a bar snack one night which was very tasty.
there was some sort of boiler kicking in several times including early morning which was very noisy, we also had a little problem with the shower which cut off midway having a wash.

I cannot praise the staff enough for their friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency. We were checked in quickly, and all information given readily.
We had breakfast and dinner for two days and the food was delicious. My husband is gluten-free and the staff could not have been more accommodating, offering a variety of options and alternatives.
The room was nice and clean and comfortable. Altogether a terrific weekend away.

The Gym and pool are superb, the hotel lovely, having a few board games to play & books to read is a great idea.
Only a little niggle, but the breakfast times could be extended a little longer
The shower head in the bathroom was a tad loose, but not a major problem overall

Hotel was clean with friendly staff, only stayed for an overnight stop.

Great location, quiet setting,
ample on site parking. Staff were friendly and nothing too much trouble. Comfortable well equipped room. Great breakfast choice. Bonus of day pass for leisure facility next door.

as a hotel guest you had free use of the pool and gym facilities at the health club
next door a 2 minute walk

Nice location and great swimming facilities.
The " quiet corridors" were very loud and the gap under the door didn't help. You could hear the flush and water running down in the walls every time the upstairs bedroom flushed their toilet.

the locations was amazing with lovely view we loved the gardens and seating areas also food was amazing .. only down fall is that asked for a family room and was located In separate room also was emailed saying rooms were side by side but upon arrive were handed rooms on diff floors also we couldn’t get the tv working or Wi-Fi but I would say the gentleman did try is ever best bless him. swim faculty was nice
not been given the right descriptions on rooms and not been provided with better suited for our family needs. also lack of internet for a one night stay of £200.70 I would of expected things to be more professional as people just don’t know what was happening. also the day after our stay we were still guest till 11:00 am next day and I had to pay a additional charge of nearly £30.00 just so my theee children could swim before heading on a long travel back to sheffiled. I found this disgusting as we payed £200 for one night and the only family facility their is the pool! .

We were here for a wedding so the location fitted. Have stayed here previously for the same reason
the rooms were small and noisy , beds worn out decor poorly finished. hall carpet tired and threadbare , shower in room didn’t work properly . for the money very bad value. I will not be staying here again

Pool and facilities were good
Breakfast staff were abrupt
Room was shoddy and old fashioned
Bed not very comfortable
Carpets stained

The spa facilities
Bedroom was very hot we had to open the bathroom window wide to let cold air in, the room was that hot we struggled to get a quality sleep.
3.8
good size room, nice location, good selection of food for breakfast
breakfast time was 6-9, felt like it was a bit too early to finish serving at 9. should extend it to at least 10-10:30

Fantastic venue with friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you.
Beautiful rooms with views out to the gorgeous lake outside.
Beef was very rich in flavour but would have again.
