The first 2 days there were typhoon, the bathroom was dripping with water due to typhoon flooding the garden above it. I think this can be better managed and not wait for us to find the floor wet with water in the middle of the night, and it was slippery too.

復古懷舊風的飯店，每日首輪冰箱飲料都免費。前台Ruby小姐專業、熱情、服務佳。還有1樓的Leo 先生有問必答為客人解決問題。 9樓餐飲的女主管，更是對客人噓寒問暖。每天早晚清潔的服務人員都很有禮貌，也不會貿然進入房間。都很棒！

早餐樣式滿少的，不過吃的飽，希望再多加2.3樣上海特色餐點會更好。

Disappointing

Location is excellent

New re-design is not bad but the previous one was more matching to the history of the hotel and more charming. The breakfast is now at 9th. Floor. That location has no atmosphere at all and the seating set-up + appearance is far away from the previous one. The quality of the breakfast is poor, 2-star only! Bread not good and not fresh, one coffee machine for everyone so it takes time. No more egg station, no soup station, so it is a clear downgrade while pricing is going up. The rooms are smelly from the drain. A problem they are obviously unable or unwilling to solve since years. It was probably my last stay there even though it is located so perfectly. A pity.

Отличное расположение, буквально за углом Нанкинская улица, напротив вход в метро. На завтрак шведский стол, но так же на заказ могут приготовить лапшу, вонтоны или яичницу предпочитаемым способом. Номер просторный, оформлен в стиле Шанхая начала XX века. В коридорах выставлены экспонаты того же периода. Нет европейских розеток, но на ресепшене по запросу дали переходники. Вежливые и внимательные сотрудники: и лифт вызовут, и чемодан заберут, и всегда поздороваются.

Assolutamente Sì

Struttura "storica" in pieno centro che con i suoi larghi spazi fa respirare il fascino della Shanghai degli anni d'oro. Molto ben ristrutturato e reso moderno, l'hotel offre ogni comfort facendo rivivere gli affascinanti fasti del passato. Camera molto spaziosa. letto molto confortevole, Colazione ricca e soddisfacente. Struttura da consigliare !

Highly recommended!

Absolutely lovely - we were given a room much larger than the one we had booked, and the rooms are very well appointed, particularly the bathrooms. The location is perfect and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Spaxious, quiet, and great location

Spacious and very quiet room (requested it during reservation). Location was also great kind of like in the middle of the whole nanjing road. Very close to the metro as well.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff

The hotel was lovely and the staff excellent. The concierge was extremely helpful when I had to check out early due to a family emergency. I am going to stay again later in the year.

It was a great location and the rooms were very comfortable

I like the location of the hotel and the rooms were really nice. The fact that the staff helped to fold my clothes made it very impressive to me. Liked that they served tea and biscuits at the reception too.

Amazing Location, Great Bed, and very high level of service

The location is certainly the best in shanghai, next to nanjing road. The service is absolutely fantastic and fast ( Dry cleaning, shoe polishing and many other small details). The staff is available almost 24h a day. The mattress is great.

The concierge was excellent and helped us with purchasing train tickets for the next leg of our journey -absolutely excellent service and communication.

We had to leave early and asked for a takeaway breakfast with coffee yogurt fruit muesli etc and were given a box of dry croissant and no drink-not good value for money having paid for a full breakfast.

best location in shanghai, not even a question. most staff are friendly and helpful, very responsive to all my requests. room was very spacious

aircon was not the most efficient, i recommend leaving the card in the slot keep it running during summer. my shower room only had curtain which means the water tend to splash out towards the toilet, this was quite annoying

Wonderful stay in Yangze. My choice of stay in the future.

Perfect location and room is much bigger considering it is in the center of Shanghai. Staff members were very professional and helpful. Ms Ni accommodated us with a tea break while we were waiting for our rooms to be ready.

3-star services in a former luxury hotel

The location is excellent, just next to the People's Square metro exit #14, and the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just round the corner. The room I had was very spacious, as was the bathroom with a separate, large bathtub. Despite the central location, the hotel was relatively quiet.

The hotel operates in a historic building, and there seems to be quite some time from the last renovation. Everything is somewhat shabby. Smoking is forbidden but there is a stale smell of cigarettes in the corridors and also in the room. The carpeted floors could use a proper vacuuming. The services are very basic for the price, although I am not sure how much that is due to the Covid restrictions having been lifted only recently. There is no room service, and there were not even glasses or cutlery for the minibar. The phone system was under repair and unusable. The hotel is certainly not worth five stars, not even according to the Chinese classification. Thinks of it more as a pricey 3-star hotel. Breakfast did not have the advertised egg and noodle stations, and the Western options were straight from the 1990s (rubbery eggs, fried ham served as bacon, white toast as the only bread etc.). The teawater container does not get hot, so it was not possible to use for infusing tea at breakfast.
