I have stayed here before as the location is brilliant - right in the centre of Gloucester. Hotel room was very clean and comfortable although it was tired-looking. Hotel is under new management and improvements are being made.
My room was on the second floor and stairs were very steep - previously I have been on the first floor which I would prefer.
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful - one took my case down the stairs for me when she saw me struggling.
I would prefer to be on the first floor and thereby avoid the steep staircase. However it is a 15th century coaching inn and so steep stairs are to be expected.

Senza peraltro alcuna previa comunicazione a riguardo.

Good location, great atmosphere in the courtyard which is surrounded by the rooms above
Parking, there’s no parking at the hotel, it is only a few mins walk but seems much longer with heavy luggage- travel light :-).

The location
The room was certainly not one of the rooms in the photos. The room was tired and poorly decorated and the furniture was very old and marked. The only reason we never complained was that it was very clean. The stairs on the way to the room were full of cobwebs and needed a good clean down.

The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was cleaned every day had a problem with one of the bedside lights someone went and had a look it was fixed straight away
This was our second visit I was disappointed I didn't see any ghosts but I heard knocking on the wall where the room next door was empty apart from that everything was good

Position was very good - lovely building but needs some loving care - it could of been soo beautiful.
Difficuolt to know how to keep city centre alive.
Bathroom very small - room needed a face lift

Great location, amazing room, a room full of character and the place in itself is an experience with how old the building dates back. A great value for money, right in the heart of the city, the staff that we spoke to made it a very pleasant experience.

It’s character, it’s location
The mattress needs replacing and although a four poster bed it was comfortable or great.

Very central. Interesting historic building.
Put off by the stained carpet as we entered the suite! Wonky walls etc were fine but the carpet looked dirty - a shame, old doesn't have to be shabby!

Room was a bit hot

The location was central for shopping. All staff were very helpful especially with parking. On arrival lights were not working in room but was corrected immediately. Quite a relaxed atmosphere. Housekeeping staff were very helpful.
There was a broken window which had been boarded up for what appeared to be quite a while. The shower in my room was a health and safety issue, you could set the temperature to suit but then suddenly the water was extremely hot and I had to move quickly to avoid being scalded, if a child had been in the shower this would have caused a serious accident. This was reported to staff when checking out. I hope this has been dealt with. The room no is 210.

Location and character/interior of room were great.
It was very noisy in the room - not just pub noise, which we expected, but people talking in the courtyard below throughout the small hours. Also the curtains did not meet in the middle (broken curtain rail) so we felt very much exposed.

It was in the centre of the town and the bed was ok
This was the 3rd time we stayed in the last few year. And will be the last. Really gone down hill.
The lighting was really bad a lot of the lights not working on the landing. The cold bath tap would not turn on. Had a blackboard telling meal times. Went out for our meal. Went to the bar was told not doing food tonight. Had to then walk around trying to get food. Could not find any staff when checking out to complain.
The place really need some money put into it. And staff no staff when we checked in we just left our bags in left luggage and went shopping and returned later for our room key at the bar.

Rooms were clean, beds comdy, staff helpful and friendly especially Megan. Food was lovely and good value for money. Easy access to town, shops etc.
Rooms could do with updating and a bit of tlc. Wallpaper beginning to peal off the walls etc but nothing major.
1.0
Central in town center next to shops.
Bathroom was clean, presented ok
Just awful..
Parking was in a multi-story carpark, to get to the Inn was to walk down a backstreet which didn't feel safe.
The Inn itself, no one at the reception
The room was more like a 1*dingy bedsit room, my better half checked bed, there were many nasty stains present.
This is not an Inn for families to stay at
Checked out 1 hour after checking in and booked another hotel.
Waste of money will not be returning

Beautiful room in a fantastic coaching in, easy check in, helpful staff and a good breakfast
This is an active pub, and being older does not have the best sound proofing. It was fine for us, but there is music on Friday and Saturday nights until 11pm

great location, welcoming staff, secure bike storage
food wasn’t available that night BUT they did recommend another pub that was really good.

It was authentic and very historical.
The rooms were authentic to the period but there were many stains on the carpet and sofa in the room. There was trash left in the bin from a previous guest. the mattress has springs poking and the noise from the pub below was as if there were other guests in our room. There was no parking.
