Faulty towers without the entertainment.

New carpet in bedroom

Had to wait 20 minutes before receptionist came to check us in. Said there was free parking but it was full. Waited almost an hour for our breakfast, when enquired, was told they had misplaced our order and would we like to re-order. We had to decline as we were now already running late. Staff were pleasant but not nearly enough of them. They didn't have a chance of getting the job done between them. Lift broken down. Bathroom like stepping back into the 1970s Overall, would not stay here again.

Rooms were very clean unlike the Pentland and Weigh Inn last year - staff very helpful.

Good location convenient for onward travel. Staff were friendly.

A lift that works, especially when on the top floor. The food was average and they initially didn't want to serve us as it was 8.15pm and they close the kitchen at 8.30pm. The bar was very un-inviting with dirty cushions and a spartan feel.

A great place to stay in Thurso

Great place to stay in the the centre of Thurso. The room was great value, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also great as it has vegan and gluten free options. The staff were super friendly which made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Thurso.

Pleasant

Staff were kind and very courteous, and did their best to be helpful. The things I was less happy with were not their fault

The bathroom wasn’t very clean, and the room small. I didn’t have time for a cooked breakfast, so that might have been fine, but the buffet was disappointing. I’m afraid I felt that for the price, it wasn’t great value for money

There was no stay at all at the Muthu Royal Thurso Hotel.

Nothing went at all.

It woulkd have been better if the hotel existed. On the 15 May 2022 we made a reservation via Booking.com site of a double room with breakfast included for a night 30/31 May 2022, for which we were charged immediately and we received the reservation number: 3781119899. However, when we arrived on the 30 May, the property was permanently closed, with no one inside and we could see throught the window that the furniture has already been removed from the reception and the lobby. After the whole long journey we had done from Poland to Thurso, we found ourselves left in the street without any accommodation, although we had paid for one in advance via Booking.com. f As a customer of Booking.com for years now I find this situation totally unacceptable and I expect Booking.com to transfer back to my account the whole payment they have charged me for the hotel services that do not exist.

Very much needed an overnight stay in Thurso before long journey south

A hotel that opens their doors for a Christmas Eve overnight stay deserves praise! Very polite and helpful

Disappointing.

There was nothing I liked about my stay here.

The room was cold. Extremely cold the heating was not turned on. The Heater in the room worked but gave off virtually no heat. The staff member I dealt with was unprofessional , nervous and didn't have a clue about the most basic aspects of his job. In the morning we were offered some free breakfast to make up for the cold room and I took one sip of orange juice which was terribly sour and out of date. Then I left without a word. Total shambles quite honestly .

Friendly enough staff, fine for the price we paid. The location is perfect.

Its an outdated place. The bar was shut, though they did offer to open if for us if wanted them to. It was winter so it wasn't entirely unexpected.
